We were having a problem with our refrigerator being too warm and in some of the drawers were freezing food. We called a lot of places and RNC called back in a few hours and came by at the end of the day to try to get it going temporarily while waiting 2 days for the part they needed to order. I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby when my gas stove needed a new heating element or igniter or whatever it was. Turns out a plumber needed to address the illegally connected gas line for it to be fixed and brought up to code (crooked builder). He made a call, his plumber friend showed up the next day (very reasonably priced!) and Bobby came back that same day, fixed my oven (ditto on the reasonably priced) and now, they're both stuck with me for all my plumbing and appliance needs, at least until my daughter gets her plumbing license I highly recommend RNC for any and all appliance needs. We had an issue with our oven & had called a different company that said they couldn't fix it. We called RNC based on their google reviews and got an appointment very quickly. They had to order a part and come back when it was in, they fit us in before Easter and quickly fixed the oven. I had these guys come in and repair a 3 year old dryer in June 2022 that was not heating up. It took them a few attempts to get it working, replacing the heating element. It still not function 100%, but it was OK. It died again in Feb 2023 and I called and left a phone message and on their web site explaining that it died again. Did not get a call or email. Finally, I had Doyons come out and repair it and they said the part they installed was not properly installed. It shorted out and could have caused a fire. Be careful with these guys. read more

Called RNC to fix a loose door on my 3 year olds LG French door refrigerator. The repair man speed up the very next day and it took less than 20 minutes to fix it. Apparently a lock on the hinge had come loose. He pushed the lock back into place and the door was better than new. A less ethical person could have easily made a lot of money unnecessarily replacing parts. But not RNC. This kind of honesty is refreshing in this day and age of fabricated "scenarios". Technician came out on a Wednesday and diagnosed problem to be a pump on my washer. Said he would be back as soon as he got the part. Come Friday, I did not hear from anyone and called them....I left a message on the answering machine. Waited for a call back and did not hear from anyone and called back at noon time. This review is for RNC Appliance. My tenant in Melrose needed a new gas cooktop to replace the Thermador unit that had burner problems. I had found out by a previous service call from another company that they no longer made parts for this particular unit and a search on the internet proved this to be correct. So this time I ordered a new cooktop to be delivered and then hired RNC to install it. When Bob saw the existing unit he called me and said that he had worked on these types of units for the past 15 years and if it was OK with me why not let him take a look at repairing it. Well it ended up that he was able to repair the unit in less than an hour with parts that he carried in his truck saving me a lot of money in having to order a new unit, pay someone to cut out the countertop to fit the new cooktop and having the unit installed. I highly recommend RNC for appliance repair. I got an appointment right away, he came and diagnosed the problem in a very short time. He told us the cost of the needed part and labor and it was very reasonable. He had to leave and get the part. I had an appointment outside my home and he accommodated us by coming back after we got home. Awesome Company! Really know their stuff. I called one day when my water line broke on my refrigerator. I had water in the basement, was panicked and didn't even know how to turn the water off. Robert reassured me on the phone that he will be out as soon as he could. He came out and didn't even charge an emergency fee. Fixed the problem and asked if he could look at anything else while he was here. Well, earlier in the week my dryer broke and I just purchased a new one and was waiting for it to be delivered. I called RNC for a dishwasher repair. My dishwasher was leaking water onto the kitchen floor so I didn't know if the problem was the dishwasher or if I had a plumbing problem. Bobby came over, opened the dishwasher door and immediately saw the problem. He went in the basement and turned off the water. He did not have the part with him to do the repair, so he called his supplier and ordered the part. He was then so great to come back at the end of his work day and installed the new part. Bob came to my house to repair a broken dishwasher. After diagnosing the problem he informed me that the broken part would cost $170. However, he also told me that the part was necessary for the operation of the automatic dispenser, but that it was not required to run the dishwasher the old fashioned way. The automatic dispenser is convenient, but not worth $170 to me so Bob's honesty saved me some money. He gave me an appointment the following day after I called, arrived on time and was very professional. On the spot he offered to look at my other appliances and fixed my stove to my surprise, in addition to my refrigerator. I was delighted to get another thing done and so quickly.
