Food was good but only a few spots to sit. Take out recommended. It is a nice quiet little place.

We walked up a few flights of stairs to enter the restaurant, which is located above a seafood restaurant. So, I'm not sure if the restaurant is accessible for those that have mobility challenges. We sat outside on the patio in order to enjoy a view of the ocean! The day was beautiful! We ordered birria tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and horchata. The tacos came with ranch style beans that looked yummy, but they didn't taste great. There was a funny aftertaste that I didn't prefer despite positive reviews. I didn't finish them. For some reason, I was hoping for delicious, scratch-made horchata. I was disappointed by the artificial tasting, watery mix. It just wasn't my cup of tea. The birria tacos, on the other hand, were tasty. You should try them! My dining companion enjoyed the grilled quesadilla too!

Our server was awful. Longer waits than surrounding tables, hot the order slightly off, but forgot to enter my daughter's dinner. To make it worse, she abandoned our table after that and a friendly manager took over. Not sure why, as I was not rude (I promise!). Food was ok but poor service overshadowed the experience.

Their ceviche is also consistently fresh and delicious. They recently remodeled, adding a much larger covered veranda surrounded by lush plants, creating a beautiful, relaxing outdoor space. Inside, the clean, air-conditioned dining room offers a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal no matter the weather. While they shine with creative vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes, Café Verde also offers tasty options for meat eaters, making it a great spot for everyone. Plus, their happy hour runs 7 days a week, making it an ideal place to unwind with great food and drinks. If you're looking for a vibrant, welcoming spot with something delicious for every palate, Café Verde is a must-visit! Highly recommend!

BUT It isn't actually Red Rice . There's such a thing called red Rice. Don't false advertise white rice and add coloring to it or add saffron . And the very dim lights make it hard to see the food and the menu. I've had better black beans . The Sweet Plantains. They're not sweet if you char them black. They're supposed to be cooked or sautéed in oil or butter sprinkle some sugar on them to create a Glaze. Pulled pork was dry Unacceptable. I usually give it 5 stars but this time it was a dissapointment.

They have some kind of lime seasoning that completely missed the mark for me. The bright spot was the rice bowl. It was fresh, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. The ordering process is simple... order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring your food out. I also liked the variety of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but there are too many better burger spots around for me to make a return trip.

Beachy theme, plenty of outdoor seating, and a solid location near the water (not quite toes-in-the-sand, but close enough to feel the breeze). It wasn't busy when I stopped in, which made for an easy, relaxed lunch. I went with the Surfin' Cali Burrito, because commitment to the theme felt necessary. Portions are big and prices are reasonable, so no complaints there. But flavor-wise, it was more "gentle ripple" than "flavor wave." Not bad, just not something I'd go out of my way to order again. This spot really feels like it shines more as a bar than a restaurant. I can see it being great for drinks, hanging out, and soaking in the atmosphere. As a food destination, it's decent, but not exactly making a splash. It was also pretty warm inside, though with all the doors open, that's kind of part of the laid-back setup. Bottom line: Good vibes, fair prices, generous portions, and okay food.

There was several questions we had about the menu since it was confusing. There's a create your own combo for two or three items. The restaurant charges extra for cheese, sour cream, and extra condiments as well as toppings. We had to ask the waiter about it because we normally don't charge for it and he stated there was a charge. We figured since we were on vacation and already there, we ordered what we wanted and hoped for the best. The house margaritas were ok. It wasn't much flavor to them. There was complimentary chips and salsa. When our food came out, it looked good. I got the enchiladas with the rice and beans and it was edible. It was bland and my other friends said their food lacked in flavor as well. The service was ok. Our waiter didn't seem too enthused about us asking questions about the menu. We got the bill and it wasn't returned with the correct change. The waiter acted confused when he was questioned about it. Sorry, I won't be going back.
