This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the area. I drive past 5 other shops on my way here and it's worth it. Coffee is amazing and the options for food are great. Gluten free options available. I'm dairy free and appreciate the various alternative milks. Tea options are delicious, I highly recommend Warm Hugs. Their monthly deals are always great and they have delicious seasonal drinks. The staff is amazingly kind and friendly! There is plenty of indoor seating of various sizes - couches, chairs, big tables, and small. I do all of my homework there and have never had a problem finding a seat. Great coffee! The employees are always nice AND they have stamp cards now which is awesome. The shop is decorated really nicely and the bathroom has a great changing table for babies! (I'm not sure about the men's restroom, but the women's restroom had a great area for babies to be changed). The scones and bagels I've had there have always been good. They forgot our order once but they quickly made up for it and were super nice. This is my go-to local coffee! Love it. read more

I'm not the type to leave a review review but I feel I must after yesterday's experience. My wife I, and our chocolate lab puppy stopped in yesterday and wanted to take part of their pet friendly atmosphere. We found them thru Fido App and left a review but apparently they can remove reviews . Well my problem is that staff watched as our puppy play on the front lawn that was just sprayed and fertilized. A passer bye informed us that it was just treated so we had Darla sit next to us. Say something people or have your lawn comp. flag the lawn area please. Nice place but ignorant staff that must not care for out four legged buddies. Please say something and give Darla a chance to live healthy. read more

My quiche last few x's was smaller sized, too much chewy like bubble gum cheese. It was almost tasteless n crust I use to love was Uber bland n chewy. But not in a good way. Very disappointed. Not worth it any any price imo. Service was o.k. but told they were closing in 15 mins so I would have to take it to go. I ate it in my car as others lazily sipped their tea n coffees n visited. This coffee cafe has it all. Amazing coffee (not exaggerating - try the cold brew), great food (go for the mexican wrap) and a staff that deserves several gold stars! Located in what looks similar to a strip mall, I wasn't expecting much. But upon stepping in, I felt immediately welcome by the nice staff and comfy decor. Such a cool chandelier! Obviously the ambiance is great but definitely a bit overpriced on some things, this is still the far East side ya know! Used to go regularly quite a few years ago but was never a fan of Portland Roasting especially considering there are so many better coffee options out there. I tried it again today and was happy to see they finally switched from Portland Roasting to Sisters. Although not overly complex (at least the espresso blend), still much better than Portland Roasting nonetheless. read more

Decided to getaway for the weekend and Stomping Grounds was a just a stop along the way but ended up one of my favorite parts. We ordered the special Lavender Latte and Raspberry Maui Mocha which both tasted great. My husband and I hung out and visited on the couch in the corner for quite awhile. Our favorite coffee house by far. My son loves the kid's meal with the PB&J and the little kids smoothies with the whipped cream on the straw. I also love their food and I like that they offer lots of sugar free coffee flavors. The blended salted caramel latte is my absolute favorite. Due to the pandemic, we just call the order in in advance, run in to pick it up, and then enjoy it on their little patio. We love the convenient drive-thru location too! read more

It was my first time here and I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the coffee and the sandwiches that we got. I had the chicken curry salad sandwich and the awakening coffee. Stopped in for a quick lunch on Sunday during a commute from Mt Hood. Shared a tuna sandwich that my husband and I loved. Nice big chunks of tuna on delish whole wheat bread. It can be tricky to find a good tuna sandwich -- we recommend this one! The place was packed but they are quick and efficient with warm and inviting atmosphere. Will definitely make SG coffee house our stop on future trips up and down the mountain! read more

One of my favorite coffee shops! Staff is super friendly, vibe is very cozy, and drinks are superb. I've gone to Stomping grounds many times to study, meet up with friends, grab a bite to eat, and snag a cup of coffee. They even host different artists to perform music on some occasions. Food-wise: I really enjoy the chipotle chicken wrap, adds a little kick to your day! Besides that I'll typically get a bagel with my coffee. Basically any drink is great. I've tried lattes to smoothies. Cold brew is delicious here too. Portland Roasting Co. is their coffee brand I believe and they use it well. Overall, love this place and am happy to support them! read more

I was in Portland for work when someone suggested we meet here. I had the best chair I've ever had and my boss had the best coffee ever and that is no exaggeration. The gingerbread chai was seriously incredible...so much so that I've stopped by two more time during my three day trip. The atmosphere is nice and you can sit and stay a while. Stopped here a few times while I was staying at Edgefield down the road for my sisters wedding this past weekend. The service was great and the coffee was good. They add extra personal touches that set them apart from Starbucks and Peet's Coffee. They bring the coffee out to you instead of calling out your drink or name when it is ready. The times I went, they were not too busy and service was fast. Had my sister not requested a Chai from here the morning of her big day, I don't think I would have found it.
