It's fairly expensive however at the very least- the savory bowls are worth it. I wish they had a veggie heavy smoothie.

The kind of place where you expect someone to be editing a documentary on a laptop made of recycled aluminum. Late afternoon visit, so the hipster crowd had clearly skateboarded back to their respective creative labs. I had the place to myself. Prime auditing conditions. First impression? This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown * Taste: 4.3/5 * Ingredients: 4/5 * Consistency: 4.5/5 * Purist Pain Factor: High * Speed: 5/5 Current Status: Machine-Made But Memorable Lesson Learned: Sometimes the machine wins. Spiritual Conflict Level: Ongoing. -- The Açaí Guy

Came here specifically for the acai bowls, so I got the acai banana berry & bf got the acai mango. The bowls were big & topped with lots of fresh fruit. The consistency was like a smoothie. Flavor was good on both, a little watered down. It wasn't the best acai bowls I've ever had, but it was good. I'd definitely want to come back & try the smoothies.

After this, it took 26 minutes to make my juice. It seemed like the printer prints tickets telling them what to make went down. It took two employees TO CHANGE A ROLL OF PAPER. Then they continued making to go orders. No one thought to triage what was sitting in the shop and make those first. There were seven people waiting at this point. Someone called in a phone order and that was put through before my juice was started, and this was 15 minutes after ordering. I know this comes across a bit Karen, but we need to teach young employees of businesses like this how to handle busy days, when equipment breaks, etc. Nothing was communicated to any of us sitting in the shop. I feel bad for the employees when something like this happens - I have worked food service so I understand. But communicating goes a long way, and there was none here.

Not only are the 100% vegan, they are 100% gluten free as well! It's street parking, but that wasn't an issue. I parked around the corner. I wanted a coffee or tea and a baked good. I ended up getting an iced chai latte with oat milk.. really good flavor! I got a banana bread to go. As I was waiting for my order, the soup of the day caught my eye. African Peanut soup..one of my favorites! I decided to get a cup to eat inside. The soup had good flavor, though it was of a purée consistency. I would have preferred a thinner, smoother consistency, but like I said, the flavor was really good. Not sure if they sell a small roll or bread slices, but that would really hit the spot! I took the banana bread to go, and it was good. I was checking out the cheesecake in the display case. I really need to go back and get me some of that! The shop is small with a few tables and chairs. Decorated cute with soothing colors. They have tables outside, and on this particular day, it was really nice out. Several people were outside eating their meals. I'll definitely be back!
