    the view of the reservoir

So apparently Mulholland Drive has more than 7 overlooks. The eastern side has approximately 12 overlooks. I have witnessed 8. Some aren't that appealing while others have breath taking views. Stone Canyon has two viewing sides. Just beyond the parking lot is the view of Stone Canyon's reservoir. If you follow the stone pathway to the back, you can see view #2. I believe where the road widens is Beverly Glen Blvd. I can't figure what other road it would be. Please correct me, if I'm wrong. It was nice, this isn't my favorite. I wasn't happy when I saw in n' out cups on the ground. I still can't believe the residential street nearby had this reservoir as a backyard view. I love cruisin' Mulholland on a clear day It's one of my fave things to do in LA This spot provides a pretty nice view of the reservoir http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/M-LxwvERvpjXg6NmxthznA?select=FjmpOp-kQEYA5c450EEXbw If they cleared away some brush, you'd see even more But don't be up there lighting a cig Or you might end up doin' a stint in the brig At the very least, it's a hefty fine $541 bucks, as posted on the sign I wonder why 541 and not....say.....550 Either way, it's not a deal that's thrifty So now that you know about the taboos Don't smoke there, just enjoy the great views

Nice day! Chk out my view and its warm and breezy 4/19/12

I'm in this area a lot. We walk from the bottom of Nicada and beverly glen and walk up to the look out on Mulholland. There isn't much here. A little walking path and then a place to sit and check out the veiw. You can see the local reservoir and all the green around. I usually bring my pooch and so do others. A nice, chill, quiet spot if you need a break from the busy city life. Its not a big deal though, so don't need to make a special trip just to see this.

There's a sand area but most of the playground has the bouncy ground. There are picnic tables and benches. There's a lot of shaded areas. There's a boat, space ship, tunnel, slides, rolling metal slide, balance beams shaped like balls, and so much more. It's a super inclusive playground with a diverse group of patrons as well. The bad: The parking lot had some cars that looked like people were living out of their car. There was a pee stench at the entrance. Toward the toddler area there was a guy smoking weed. The interesting: It has a LA theme with references to the observatory, freeway and more.

This makes it frustrating when it's crowded, and there are designated lanes for medium-fast swimmers, but they're taken up by slow/beginner swimmers. Had to wait around for 10 minutes until there was space. Needs to be a better of way of controlling/managing the lanes so that different swim levels can swim without the pool being completely overrun by slow swimmers, making it harder for other levels to enjoy the pool space.
