I walked in for a manicure without an appointment. A middle-aged woman came over and immediately asked, "Gel manicure? Gel manicure?" Since I was a walk-in and wanted to get my nails done, I agreed to add gel as well. The only positive thing I can say is that the manicure tools came in a sealed, sterilized package. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was very disappointing. The towel on the table was clearly not clean or fresh. I expected a clean towel for every customer, not one that appeared to have already been used for someone else. I had removed my acrylic nails a few months ago and had not had a manicure in a long time, so my cuticles were hard. Instead of using a cuticle softener or allowing my hands to soak long enough to soften them, she forcefully pulled at my cuticles. It was painful and very uncomfortable. Her customer service was very poor. She handled my hands very roughly, almost tossing my fingers from one side to the other. Throughout the appointment, I remained polite, but she made no effort to be friendly or provide good customer service. The worst part happened at the end. My hands were covered with nail dust, but instead of properly cleaning them or wiping them with a warm towel like other salons usually do, she applied lotion directly over the dust. I could clearly feel the particles being rubbed into my hands, which was very unpleasant. She did not even ask me to remove my watch and continued moving my lotion-covered hands back and forth over my watch. At the end, I paid in cash. While counting the money, she said, "Let me see," as if she was checking whether I had paid correctly. Because I was unhappy with the service, I decided not to leave a tip. Whenever he put the lamp on my toes I told them multiple times it was burning. He then said "well your toe nail beds are thin" . If my nail bed is thin then they filed them down too much. My nails were completely glued shut with the Gel-X bonder, I had gel polish all over my hands, and within two days, my thumbnail had already broken. To make things worse, the nail tech begged for a tip and then suddenly charged me $70 because she added a French tip,when the menu clearly stated it was only an extra $5. I ended up paying $75 for a set that looks like it was done by someone with no real skill or care. This place is a scam.
