Wanted to rate higher because it is a cute place and good service but based on my food choices it was disappointing. Ordered a sfogliatelle and a cappuccino. The sfogliatelle was very pretty but the dough was very crunchy. Dipping pieces of it in my cappuccino helped a little. The dense filling was tasty but tasted more like orange than cardamom flavored. The cappuccino was just ok. I drink it with no sugar and rely on a good strong espresso for the flavor and it wasn't there. Hubby enjoyed his mocha. You can add whip cream for .75 cents. He gave his almond danish a 4 out of 5. The pastas and other prepared foods looked really good so i may want to come back for those instead on another visit. Also they don't post any prices which i find odd. Our coffee and pastries for 2 was $24.

We always look forward to going to Presti's when we visit Cleveland. It's very well priced, has a wide variety of menu and dessert items, and the food is just so dang good. It's always busy, even during random times during the week day. It does feel chaotic there, but that's what every other Italian deli feels like. I do feel that there is a lack of signage of the menu items, but it isn't a deal breaker. I also appreciate their packaging is compostable and biodegradable. I cannot wait until the next time I can go back!

TAKE A NUMBER or you'll get cut in line. You can get cookies by weight or pastries individually priced. Cappuccino in the porcelain dine in option is the best. Ample seating and large area. I got the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was tasty. Seemed fresh. Pastries were very good. The Linzer cookies were perfect. Cheese danish was super cheesy! Id come back.

Caveat: I went early and encountered no line. Highly recommend! When I went back later, the line was nearly out the door (around lunch), so I just walked on. But in the early morning, this place was a treat! At the counter, a lady took my order: cannoli, an apricot thumbprint cookie, and an americano. Just right! I'm no expert, but the cannoli was the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. So many American cannoli are fried to all hell. Impossible to cut, chewable with effort. A bit like an Italian fried ice cream. This one, in Cleveland? Soft. Tender. Rich, elegant cream. Enjoyed alongside the americano, it was heavenly.

The desserts were great from prestis! In my opinion their cannolis are better than corbo's. The service is slow and I don't think they have a great system with the tickets. They do have a lot of seating though!

Wow what a hidden gem (if at least you're an out of town guest). Came here at the recommendation of a local friend and it delivered. Came in for breakfast, had a croissant sandwich with a cinnamon role and a cappuccino to drink. Everything was so delicious. Staff was very friendly and had good suggestions. Really liked the outdoor patio. Perfect way to spend the morning!

This is the best bakery in Little Italy. The choices are overwhelming, but trust me, that is the best problem to have. You cannot make a bad choice here. Their linzers are amazing, along with the cream puffs, and almond puffs. Lemon bar is more sweet, and cake like, but very good.We visit the Cleveland Clinic regularly, and try to make it to the bakery every chance we get. We went to the other bakery across the street the last time we were here, and took home a box of cookies. They were not as good as Presti's and I ended up throwing most of them away. My kids, who I brought the box of cookies home for, said they weren't as good as Presti's and didn't eat more than a bite or two.

I'd probably give this experience a 3.5, but normally it'd be a 4. The desserts were good but not their usual caliber. The cookie wasn't as soft as usual and the carrot cake was lacking flavor and a tad dry. The best dessert was the pastry filled with custard. The wait time was over 30 minutes and felt very congested. The highlight was the music being played right outside where they had a few tables.

Got the tiramisu after my meal in little Italy. It was very delicious! There weren't too many people there when I went so the service was very quick. As for the tiramisu, they did not skimp on the coffee soak with the ladyfingers which I feel like most bakeries and commercial stores do. The mascarpone was super light and tasty. This truly tasted homemade and I would 100% go back!

It was a special treat to stop by after lunch and get some coconut macaroons. I had never been there. We didn't wait in line long after picking a number. It was a touch choice to pick one delicious pastry when everything looks good. The atmosphere was very chill.

What isn't there to love about presti's! Whether you visit in the summer, sitting street side or in the winter bundled up inside the bakery, there is never a wrong time to pull a ticket and wait your turn. The array of cookies, by the pound or just a few, will blow your mind. Everything is fresh, house made and authentic. The counter staff are knowledgeable and patient, especially when you cannot decide between gelato or a coconut bar. So when in little Italy, go to Presti's and order a lemon bar, cappuccino or a slice pizza you will never be disappointed.

I'm from out of state and we got there around 10:30am and it was quiet on a Tuesday morning. The people greet you when they call out your number (I guess it gets so busy you have to take a ticket number.) they were very helpful of what they recommend at the bakery. The food was super delicious and fresh! The day was nice so we ate outside and the tables were clean. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again if I go to Cleveland one more time.

There are meat trimmings everywhere, tubs of pickles, and the sense that the folks behind the counter know exactly what they are doing. I joined the line just before 11 and got inside about 11:50 AM. I'm currently standing in line waiting on my sandwich which is a corned beef melt. I ordered a corned beef melt, which is toasted rye, cornbeef, double Swiss cheese - hot & melted with Kraut on the side and dressing. I got a side of potato pancakes, and also coleslaw. The folks were extremely friendly on the inside, very welcoming and very efficient as they worked to make who knows how many meals. And you'll be glad to know every sandwich comes with a dill pickle, wrapped in its own paper and ready for delicious consumption! The dill is a big deal to me because I like spears, as in the pickle not necessarily (in this case) the pop star! Come early and be ready to wait! The place is really kitchsy and has a great atmosphere. And the folks really make it awesome to be there. It has the feel of a destination restaurant the kind of place that is an experience to visit not just because of the food because of the culture and the people and the phenom that it has become.

The food had always been delicious until this last visit. Given we are regulars at the place, we know the quality of the food has been consistently fantastic and the wait for the food is typical - not too fast or slow - enough to prepare the meal given how busy the place has always been. This last time, however, it was a good 45 minutes before the order came to the table. Neither one of our meals was very good. I was very hypiglycemic by this point and so I ate the french toast that was completely uncooked inside. At first I wasn't thrilled that the bread was considerably smaller than it used to be until i bit into it to find cold wet mush. I should not have eaten it at all. My friend had ordered a patty melt - medium which should be light pink in the center. It was bloody red. She sent it back and about 20 min later it came back exavtly the same. She sent it back again. Another 20 minutes later it came back well done and with spices in the meat that made the meat taste lousy. So now she had a burger that wass over cooked and tasted bad. She didnt gat to eat because by that time we were done. I wish i had turned back the french toast. I kept hoping with every bite it might be cooked. Not one bite was cooked. Not even one. Being hypoglycemic I felt like I would lose my cool if I didnt eat something so I ate. It turns out the place had been bought and the new owner really didnt care. We got to talk to the brother of the new owner who only said that the place has been very busy and that should speak to the quality. He couldnt care less about our experience. All I have to say is that they are going to be losing a lot of money having to replace meals and once people find out about the sudden drop in quality of the food, those peeople that have been filling the place will not be returning as we wont be either. We refuse to go somewhere that the owners could care less about their patrons.

Jack's Deli is an Eastern European/Jewish deli that's been a part of the community since the…read more1980's. The original owner grew up in then Czechoslovakia and brought a part of home to the US. Recently the deli was acquired by the Cleveland Restaurant Group. I've been visiting the deli for over half a decade when I crave Eastern European meals. Lately I've been less enthusiastic about visiting due to food changes. RECENT CHANGES: The deli operations have remained unchanged from the customer standpoint. There is still restaurant area and deli. The menu is the same. The hours of operating were reduced with few dinner times remaining. The food recently drastically worsened seemingly due to ingredients. Soups especially took a hit tasting more artificial. ATMOSPHERE: Casual, old style, mom and pop atmosphere. Most guests are families. The front of the business is a deli where you can order your goodies and pay at the counter. The back is the restaurant where you can get seated by the host who is located by the deli. The layout makes entry and exit challenging. FOOD: I always take my food to go, and never dined at the restaurant. I previously ordered many dishes and to be honest can't remember them all. All were good. As a result, I'll talk about my latest order. - Cabbage Borscht ($11.75 for a quart) - I'm from the country who invented borscht and had many borschts in my life from different countries. This is not borscht. It has no beets. It's a vegetable cabbage soup. The menu does not indicate this is a spicy soup, the receipt indicates "hot cabbage soup." The soup is spicy which borscht never is. Worst of all, there is a very strong hint of canned tomatoes or some tomato paste. I couldn't eat more than two spoons of this soup due to artificial flavor. It's very poorly made. It's hard to name this homemade soup as listed in the menu because of artificial ingredients. Real tomatoes would drastically improve this soup. - Mushroom Barley ($11.75) - The soup wasn't pleasant. It tastes slimy. I think that the problem is the base is some vegetable puree. I didn't enjoy it. - Knishes ($7.90 x 2) - I love knishes here and they taste the same as before. Very heavy on the meat (Rueben in my case) and delicious. To be very honest they don't always feel fresh but I love them just the same. SERVICE: Service is average. The guys at the deli aren't too warm or friendly. The checkout people are always nice. There is clearly some miscommunication between the kitchen and the front of the house. Items are frequently promised but then denied. The front of the house seems to not know at all what's available in the back. There has to be some communication or inventory tool to fix this. It's confusing to the first time customers. It's also confusing to me with every order. PARKING: Plenty of parking available with two entrances and exits. The main entry from Cedar Road is the easiest. Stay vigilant as you navigate the parking lot, there are some narrow parts and alleys with two way traffic. The one differentiating factor of this restaurant was its homemade appeal. Everything tasted like someone's Eastern European grandma shared the recipe and prepared the food. Now the food is tasting commercial and lost its initial appeal. I'll be back to Jack's Deli for the deli (knishes) but won't be ordering any restaurant items again.
