I would actually give this place 2.5 stars since the staff members were great and friendly. I went here for a late lunch when it wouldn't be as busy as it usually tends to be during lunchtime on a weekend. You first order your food and then find a seat and grab your drink and utensils at the side of the restaurant. My boyfriend and I ordered a bbq beef sandwich and an 8 oz. salmon filet individual meal which comes with a salad and two skinny breadsticks. For the beef sandwich, you could get a side for $0.99 more, if you prefer. When we got the sandwich, MAN that was so disappointing. Not a lot of meat made it look like a skimpy, unsatisfying sandwich. It looked like nothing in the picture online..none of that mouth-watering bbq beef-filled sandwich. Instead, we got only a few pieces of meat and you can definitely tell since the top of the sandwich bread was lying down completely flat without any angle to it. When my lemon garlic salmon arrived at our table, I was hoping it wouldn't disappoint me. However, it was overcooked and rubbery and there was WAY too much lemon. It ended up being a sour salmon with loads of Vitamin C (which I kept telling myself so I wouldn't waste it LOL). Overall, I really don't want to come back here again. read more

The bbq one was more smokey, flavorful and well seasoned. The lemon garlic for both the chicken and tri-tip was bland. On Friday, my chicken was delicious, tender, juicy. Yesterday, we got dry chicken. I guess it really depends on the day and how busy it is.. or should we blame it on that darn chicken?! Breadsticks come freshly warm. Nice gooey softness on the inside; somebody catch my drool now!! Cesar salad is different and not as cheesy as most other places will have it which i LOVE. It has a kick of spiciness but I can never figure out where it's from. Maybe all the pepper? DE-LIC-IOUS. "The Works" pizza was good, not great. However, i did like the crust. Their rack of ribs looks great. I have had the BBQ tri-tips and the boneless chicken breast BBQ style. They offered lemon garlic but I'm just not a garlic fan... Bread sticks come with the meal. We came here and enjoyed a bunch of dishes family style, the dishes a hit or miss really. First of all it gets super full here, expect a wait. Once we had a table the food came out quickly, though there were a few dishes brought out incorrectly, they brought the right items out shortly after. Service was fine, the menu extensive and portions on salads and pasta large, protein portions rather small and pricey. The tri tip was pretty good, as was the pizza, the bread sticks old and hard, no flavor whatsoever. The salad was fine, lacking flavor, but the best value portion wise. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. Tri tip is okay. I usually prefer my meat hot when served. The garlic sauce on the chicken was good. The meal combo is filling so if you can it and want a balance meal, that's probably your choice. I haven't tried their salads or pizzas yet but heard they're okay. Yuck who wants to eat a cold tri tip sandwich... no one! Head chef needs to change up the menu. I must say this stone fire grill is not what it use to be, the flavor of the ribs taste pretty off like no marinade and the sauce they put on after t got parboiled and grilled made the pork taste off. It's like it wasn't basted enough as it was being grilled. I saw a sign that the staff was a group in training for Rancho Cucamonga, well good luck because it doesn't taste like the crew that's been cooking at the Hastings ranch cooking. It's off. Okay everyone this place has some great food! I tried the tri tip steak 6oz with a Cesar salad and I was satisfied with every bite. This is a great place for a quick lunch or even a get together. Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. I spent a total of $13 on my food but I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. Came here for a post final celebration with my buddies and man did we pig out! Items we ordered: 1. Tri Tip: We wanted our meat to be medium rare, but it came out well done. Although we didn't get it the way we wanted, it still tasted good with the BBQ sauce. Meat was super tender! 2. I've been to a lot of places with great Cesar salad but the dressing here really takes the cake. If you like garlic, you will LOVE this dressing. I completely understand it's not for everyone because the flavor and smell are very strong but definitely worthwhile. The salmon is also super amazing. They always cook it perfectly! It's never dry or overcooked. They give it a nice little crunch on the outside corners while still maintaining juiciness! I have also gotten the tri-tip and the chicken. The check can be dry at times. The tri-tip is good but the salmon is better. Give it a try sometime! read more

I've been to this restaurant a number of times and it never failed me. I would came here with my family (a group of 5), which is a good thing because the portions are big. We would regularly order a salad, breadsticks, mashed potatoes, BBQ ribs, and 2 portions of tritip. The Salad: Caesar salad that comes family sized. Perfectly dressed, and strong garlic flavor. The lettuce was also crispy and not drenched. Also, we still had left overs even after feeding 5 people and even after seconds. What was surprising was that the salad was able to carry over the next day and still be crisp (Not as crisp, but crisp.. better than most other salads.) Breadsticks: These things were really really good. They're semi-thin (about the size of Little Caeser's crazy bread), soft and has a strong flavor of garlic. There's about 8 in a basket and I know I'm not obsessed with bread, but I loved these things. Might want to order a 2nd basket, just in case.. because you'll get hooked. Mashed Potatoes: I don't have much to say about them, but I did like it -nothing that really stood out.... except for the fact that they were garlic mashed potatoes (the ones that we ordered at least). From what I remember they were soft and creamy. No complaints. BBQ ribs: They were pretty good. Tender, full of flavor and pulls off the bone easily. Triptip: I saved the best for last. There are 2 flavors that we got: garlic and BBQ. They were both very tasty, but if I had to choose I'd pick the BBQ. First off because, if you haven't noticed the trend, there's a lot of garlic dishes and flavors already, so the BBQ tritip gives a nice break from that. Secondly, the BBQ tritip, to me, tastes better- it has a stronger bam factor to it. The garlic tritip is good nonetheless; it's the meat coated with garlic butter. No matter which flavor you decide to go with, it's an option that can't really go wrong. It's juicy and tender, already precut and my #1 meat option here. I didn't know anything at all when it came down to concept, since the ordering is basically like going to a Panera. I was expecting a long wait since it was prime time for dinner, but there was no wait at all and it was very peaceful and empty. Anyways, we all ordered the "Our Favorite" and that got us two sides, a TON of breadsticks, baby back ribs, and a whole chicken. We also ordered the pesto pasta. The food came it out very quickly. Everything was perfect. The ribs were delicious and full of flavor and was gone in seconds. The breadsticks were soft and crunchy. Our whole chicken was half lemon garlic and half bbq, which everyone in our party devoured. The pasta was impeccable and my friend kept getting seconds. The mashed potatoes was probably my favorite because it have little bits of cheese here and there. The only (tiny) down side to Stonefire (in my opinion) is that they don't have french fries... I did not like having to get my own beverages. I did not like having to get my own utensils to use. If I were to return here, I would most likely just order it to go and eat at home.
