I had a problem with the installation and called to get replacement and possibly look at some more. She indicated to me that her first appointment to come into the showroom was a month out. When attempted to indicate that I already had product that I just needed to order more, she said "we're not a good fit for you" and hung up on me. I run 3 businesses... dealing with difficult clients and customer service. Behavior like this is never acceptable. Motor Mouth Lacy, in a condescending, rude, and aggressive tone hung up on me before I could explain that I was a customer looking for prior product. I actually called back to get Lacy's name, I said to her that I didn't appreciate her condescending tone, lack of professionalism and she hung up on me again. At no time did I raise my voice in either conversation, use profanity's or calls names. Frankly, she hung up on me less than 30 seconds after I got on to the phone. I imagine Lacy is either part owner or family member. I can't actually imagine anyone with her lack of skills and behavior is actually employed. Or maybe the employers don't know about her behavior.. that frequently happens.

But, I really wanted to deal with a local company, not some big outfit from across the water. Bill at Creative was great when I made my initial visit. He knows his stuff, took his time to explain everything, and followed up every question. I ended up picking a granite I never thought I would, but the price was right. It took couple of weeks for templating appointment, and then two weeks for the manufacture which they do on site with their giant machines. I really liked being able to review how my countertop pieces were being placed on the slabs I chose, and having the ability to tell the designer "please turn that one 90 degrees, to take advantage of that white area I want to see in the top right corner of the backsplash" etc., because they have photos of your slab they lay out on! The installation guys, that I ended up calling the "J crew" because all three of their names started with J, were extremely polite and professional. Yes, sadly we ran into couple of issues. Not with the extremely complicated pieces with 6 different angles that had to go into awkward places - those "weirdos" were all measured and fit perfectly. It was the rectangle backsplash piece that had an issue, and it was addressed on the spot, and resolved to my satisfaction within 2 days. Kudos to Creative to owning their mistake, owning it, and making it right. Overall, I would go with these guys again, and do recommend them. And no, they didn't ask me to write them a review.

Due to construction delays, we put the selection of new flooring on hold. A few weeks later my contactor removed some of the existing LVP floor to do foundation work. When my contractor was then unable to reinstall the floor, we panicked since it was critical for the next stage of our remodel. I immediately reached out to Alexander at Emerald Installation. He was AMAZING! Alexander came over that same afternoon and reinstalled the flooring. It was beautiful, and just in time for the next stage of construction. Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is! These accolades are long overdue. Bryan did amazing work and we will use him again for any and all of our tile needs. Bryan rescued our custom walk-in shower during our remodel from a pretty shoddy initial job. He tore everything out, started from scratch, and made sure we had the best shower/tile job we could have imagined. After some unforeseen foundation repairs delayed the project, he stayed late and worked on his days off to ensure it was completed on time. Not only could they not stick within the timeline, but they did things so bass-ackwards that the new contractor had to redo so much of what I had been billed and paid for... for instance, before rebuilding the wall, they set the trusses. The trusses were set crooked and a couple were set backwards. Two of them broke because of the stress of being wrongly installed. They billed for full demolition, but did not complete it. They billed for clearing the crawl space and laying plastic, but it was not done. They used 2x4 for an exterior wall when code is 2'6. I could go on and on, but the biggest of all their mistakes was that they have a $30K installment that has not been used and claim they don't have to refund me. There is a lawsuit in the works. Better Business Bureau is involved. The state attorney General is aware, and waiting on others to let them know of the deceitful practices. He threatened to sue me if I gave a negative review, but the truth is something he can't defend against... His response to my complaint with the BBB: " on Thursday, July 13, 2023 The Contractor and Mrs. Johnson entered into a contract for the Contractor to provide services. The contract included a clause that stated that the entire contract amount would become due if the client stopped, slowed, hindered, or in any way prohibited the Contractor from providing work or fulfilling the Contractor's obligations. Mrs. Johnson violated this clause by refusing to provide access to the worksite, failing to provide timely approvals, making unreasonable demands, and requesting to separate from further services from the contractor. As a result, the Contractor was unable to complete the work and suffered significant financial losses. The Contractor's attorneys have reviewed the facts of the case and believe that Mrs. Johnson has violated the contract. They are currently gathering the necessary information and will be responding to Mrs. Johnson shortly with a more detailed account of the client's violations. In addition to the contract amount, the Contractor will also be filing separate lawsuits for each instance of inaccurate and negative reviews found on social media sites and government agencies. These reviews are highly inaccurate and blatantly misleading, and they could have a significant negative impact on the Contractor's business. The Contractor hopes that Mrs. Johnson will resolve this matter promptly and to the satisfaction of the contractor. If they do not hear from Mrs. Johnson within 10 business days, they will assume that she does not dispute their claims and will proceed with legal action. The Contractor is confident that they will be successful in their legal action. They have a strong case, and they are represented by experienced attorneys. They are also prepared to take this matter to court if necessary. The Contractor is committed to protecting their rights and their business. They will not tolerate being treated unfairly or having their reputation damaged. They are confident that they will be successful in their legal action and that they will be able to recover the full amount of the contract and damages for the negative reviews". Originally, we requested one kitchen drawer to be repaired, but when I let him know that another drawer was on its way out, he made time to fix our second drawer and only charged us for one. At first I was pleased with the initial consultation with Christopher and Diana. Their response was…read moreimmediate and they to found a time to give us a formal bid for a 15x25 paver patio. We were told that we were working with a family business that was given to the son and his girlfriend and they had been working together for 7 years (later Diana told me she was new to the business). They gave us great ideas how we could design our patio and fire pit, did measurements and said they would email a quote the next day. The day came and went as well as four other days. I called and texted per their voice mail request with no response. After I left a negative review, they got back to me stating their laptop and iPad were stolen. I gave them the benefit of doubt and they gave us a small discount off the price of the job. We decided to proceed. I give them 2 stars and here is why: 1. Chris was never seen or heard from again - they stated his Dad was sick and he left for Mexico for the summer. 2. Diana was only on site very briefly and occasionally - a handful of times, which I actually have documented. 3. The crew of 5 that was promised along with Diana or Chris always being on site only happened after I quit being polite and the last 2 days of installation, minus Chris or Diana. Diana only appeared after I said I was not releasing final payment. 4. The patio was to be level with the grass, per Chris they were to dig down 6-8 inches, the crew dug down 1 inch, I complained and a crew of 2-3 came out the next half day to dig deeper. Patio is still a good 3 inches above grass line. 5. Crew had no idea the size, dimension or details of patio, they kept asking ME how it was supposed to look. 6. Crew had the circle kit / pit in more than half the patio, I said that was not the design, had I not caught this, my pit would literally be off my second step - all unusable space. 7. We went back and forth from 1 step to 2 about 15x as the crew said they could then couldn't do it. 8. The pavers were laid incorrectly, when I told the two man crew they stated "don't you like it"? We had decided on particular pattern that wasn't being followed. Texted with Diana (as that was our only communication since we was never out to monitor the guys) and told them to relay the pattern. They tried to take the easy way out instead of relaying all the pavers, I said "Not acceptable" and directed them to pull them all up and start again. 9. I was told by a crew member who was laying the pavers that the border would have to be laid different directions on each side, horizontal on one and parallel on the other - I said NO they all can and will be laid in the same direction. 10. After pavers for patio were laid, the crew began to load all the leftover bricks - which were a ton. They had cut my grass 2 feet wider than they should have (since they had no plan to follow) and said I could plant grass. NO - we had plenty of pavers left, after a call to Diana they did lay the additional 2x15 feet of pavers. 11. Fire pit was NOTHING like we agreed. We told them we wanted a propane pit, the igniter switch and start switch on the side. Chris stated "NO Problem" and that he could even build a cover for the tank. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED AND IT WAS A DISASTER. 12. Fire pit was supposed to have a cap around the top - crew never finished it, built it too tall making for the cap to not be installed. the pit should have been 33" circle fire, we ended up with a 24 13. Diana brought me a regulator for a bbq/propane, had I used it for the pit it would have blown up. 14. To get my fire pit useable and somewhat appealing cost me another $300 - After my text to Diana about holding payment she removed that cost from my final bill. 15. The plastic trim that goes around the pavers to hold them tight was not complete around the back of the pit circle, I was told it was not needed, have you ever seen half a border, it looked unfinished and forgot. I stated they needed to finish the border whether it was cosmetic or not. 16. The same day I made final payment to Diana, Chris sent me a message to ask if the patio pavers was done to my satisfaction, he never replied to my response. 17. After having a rainy day, the patio is NOT level and we have water that pools and sits on top of the pavers. Had Castro their Project Manager been on site like he was the final two days, I believe this all would have went a lot smoother, had less problems and errors and I would have had a pleasant experience. If you want to be the project manager, do all communication by text, and have nothing done that was promised, this is your company. May 2020 - Due to the poor build quality, danger to the lack of ventilation and the igniter being below the burner our firepit was a hazard. Our pit did not pass inspection and cost us an additional 3k to have a professional company rebuild the whole pit.

I used CQC about 7 years ago to remodel two bathrooms -- both of which were torn down to the drywall and substantially updated to spa quality luxury bathrooms. They also enlarge some closets and repaired a rotting and molding roof. Recently I hired them again to help repair another bathroom and while he was super busy he was honest with me about his timeframe to get to the work. Everything was completed as promised and I am confident the bathroom is better than it was and will be problem free.
