Really good casual place with great food. We had gone horseback riding in Poway. We were looking for a good place nearby and knew we wanted to head into Ramona. This place has BEAUTIFUL surroundings and overlooks the golf course. Good burgers. Turkey club was so yummy and their fries were delicious. Breakfast was great with really good bacon and ham. Order first and they bring to you. Eating outside was lovely. They have a full bar as well. You don't have to play golf to enjoy this place We ate so quickly no pictures of our food.

A beautiful setting for a quick bite before/after golf. We love Hilario - best cook. You must try the Par Four - breakfast croissant with bacon. It is sooooo delicious and buttery! My husband gets it with double egg. You can call and order for pick up if you're passing through Ramona.

Cute little place hiding in Ramona! I've lived in ramona for 33 years and never ate here until January 1, 2022. My boyfriend got a burger and I got the BLT and they were delicious! I actually was pretty envious of his burger after having a bite. The bun was nice and toasty. And the fries were really good and crisp. This is a cute little spot that's worth checking out!

Lovely setting for lunch and a beer. It was packed inside with golfers, but plenty of room outside under patio umbrellas overlooking a gorgeous fountain, the greens and Stony Mountain. Order from the counter inside and they serve you when it's ready. We had the Bratwurst lunch special for $13.00. Perfectly grilled sausages on a bun with delicious grilled onions served with a beer on tap and your choice of onion rings, fries, potato salad. Hubby had the onion rings and I had the potato salad which did not disappoint. They are dog friendly and provided excellent service! Would definitely recommend stopping here whether you're playing golf or on your way to antiquing in Romona.

Metal chairs and wooden booth/bench that lines the front and side of the restaurant. Pillows are spread across the booth/bench for those needing a little back support. We were seated quickly and our waitress addressed us promptly, which is much appreciated. I ordered the nonalcoholic blackberry mojito. It took all of my might not to drink it all at once. So refreshing, not overly sweet. We ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer, which appeared faster than we had expected. Yummy I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with the fried chicken. He ordered the burger. Fettuccine light but with excellent flavor, the fried chicken was moist and not over coated. The burger was oozing with beef juices. Although his mashed potatoes were a bit dry, the gravy was very tasty. I'd say the atmosphere is casual, but not shorts and tank casual. Definitely not business casual or dressy. The staff were all so kind and checked in on us and attended to our needs when requested. Go in and check it out for yourself, you won't regret it. It's a great place but one drawback is the inside dining seating isn't comfortable for "lazy" dining (as you don't want to sit on the seats long)

That commitment to quality and sustainability is commendable and something more restaurants should strive for. The staff is knowledgeable, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that cares about where its food comes from. Unfortunately, that attention to ingredient sourcing seems to stop when it comes to cooking oils. Many of the menu items are prepared with soybean oil, which was disappointing given the otherwise high-quality and health-conscious image of the restaurant. Soybean oil is highly processed and contains large amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fats. While omega-6 fats are essential in moderation, excessive consumption relative to omega-3 intake has been associated with increased inflammation in some research. Soybean oil is also more susceptible to oxidation when exposed to high cooking temperatures, potentially producing compounds that some studies suggest may contribute to oxidative stress. In addition, many health-conscious consumers actively avoid industrial seed oils such as soybean, corn, and canola oils in favor of alternatives like olive oil, avocado oil, butter, or tallow. I would gladly give Marinade on Main a higher rating if they aligned their cooking oils with the same local, high-quality standards they apply to the rest of their ingredients. Switching to avocado oil or olive oil or beef talo would be a welcome improvement and would better match the restaurant's otherwise impressive commitment to quality. * also loose the standard strip of high fructose sodas and provide more natural optikns of drinks ...

My visit to Obrien's Boulangerie Bakery was exactly that. I want to give a special shoutout to Café Miguel, the bartender, who is developing some truly delicious drinks that pair beautifully with the equally delicious food. You can tell he takes pride in what he creates, and it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Brenda, the manager of all managers, deserves a tremendous amount of praise. She makes it her mission to ensure every customer is taken care of, and you can genuinely feel that she cares. Her attention to people and her commitment to making sure everyone has a great experience really stood out to me. And Javon and Isaiah, both amazing servers, were fantastic. The entire waitstaff carries with them a sense of duty to the customer that I honestly haven't seen in a long time. I may have missed a few names, but I want to make it clear that every single person who helped me made me feel special and valued. What touched me most was something so simple: being looked in the face and spoken to like a human being. In a world where that can sometimes feel surprisingly rare, it was incredibly refreshing. I am genuinely grateful for the kindness, warmth, and care shown to me by the entire team. And yes... the food was delicious too!! Thank you to everyone at Obrien's Boulangerie Bakery for reminding me what exceptional hospitality looks and feels like. You made my experience memorable, and I appreciate every one of you.

A friend asked if I wanted to have breakfast when I was in town and at first I refused to go there but he assured me it wasn't the same kountry kitchen as before. The fruit was fresh and there were lots of berries at the bottom of the cup. [TL;DR: Served inedible food I did not eat, charged in full, zero attempt to make it right.]…read more I very rarely leave negative reviews and don't nitpick or blast places over small issues - and you can check my other reviews to verify that. I had heard great things about this place, which makes it even more disappointing. The only positive was the quaint country ambiance, including a nice old mural on the wall. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Sunday morning, so that's understandable and not part of my rating. The food, however, was inedible. I should note here that I came in quite hungry and with a specific hankering for a greasy chicken fried steak and eggs, so I was in a very easy to please state. I ordered the eggs "over medium," and the eggs came out with raw, runny whites and were also cold. The toast didn't arrive until 5-10 minutes later, so everything just sat there getting colder. The "steak" was mostly fat and gristle. The first couple of bites I ate were gristly but doable with help from the gravy - but the third bite was a giant glob of gristly fat that I couldn't even chew - i spit it out and that's all I ate. The hash browns tasted like frozen unseasoned potatoes with only a patch of sear on the outside while the bulk of it was mushy and pasty and gross. Of the whole meal I basically only ate my toast plus a bite or two of each thing on my plate. I left feeling sick to my stomach. After dropping off the food (and later the delayed toast), our server never checked back. No refills, no follow-up. When she finally returned, she asked to clear my very full, barely touched plate without any acknowledgment. I had to volunteer that the food was inedible. The response was dismissive and rushed, with no effort to understand the issue or make it right. An offhand "sorry about that" was offered while walking away, followed shortly by the $60 bill. The complete lack of accountability and concern was frankly abhorrent. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be back. I would have left hungry except that I was queasy from the gristle and paste.

The eggs and hash browns were mediocre at best, and the bacon was so overcooked it had the texture of a chip and was way too salty. It was all fine, just nothing special--something I could've easily made at home for better taste and a lower price. The menu overall felt overpriced for the quality, especially since most items were $17+. Customer service was fine, but nothing stood out or made the experience better. The food did come out quickly, which I appreciated, and our drinks were refilled in a timely manner, which made the experience smoother. The one true highlight was the sourdough toast--it was actually really good. For comparison, places like Broken Yolk Cafe offer breakfast-style meals at a lower price with comparable (or even better) quality and portion sizes, which made this restaurant feel overpriced for what you get. Their website lists prices as $10-$20, but in reality most items I saw were $16+, so the pricing felt higher than expected and feel that should be updated ! That said, I personally find this place a bit too pricey for the overall food quality.
