Picking up an online order at the store during the week when nobody's even there shopping should not take almost an hour to get your stuff after they've already texted you saying it's ready. No matter what location (there are 3 locations within a 4 mile radius) the customer service is horrible! Yesterday while paying for my groceries I watched the bagger put all the heavy items into 1 paper bag (which I paid the dime for) and then stand back waiting for my 92 year old mom to put it in the basket I decided it's time to never shop there again! First I want to say that this review and rating is directed at the management and their inability to educate their security guards. The store as a whole is clean, and fine in general. I came here on Tuesday, November 17th at about 6:10pm. I was trying to check out, but the checkout lines were 2 or 3 deep in the only two lanes that were open. All of a sudden I saw that the security guard was motioning me to go to a newly opened lane. As I entered the lane he told me "he needed me to put my mask over my nose" I thought it was odd, but I complied. I have COPD and get winded easily so I typically wear the mask covering my face, but sometimes I need to put it below my nose when I'm having trouble breathing. I didn't think it was a security guard's place to tell me about this. They typically stand near the door and watch for disorderly conduct. Later I called the store customer service and asked if security guards should be telling customers how to wear their mask. I was told they do not. So I asked them to please educate their security guards. I'm not sure if I was speaking to a manager, but she said she would tell him. read more

Been going to this Stop and Shop multiple times a week for the last 1.5 years since we moved to the area What I liked about it seems to be diminishing for some reason I like specific items and now they either don't exist anymore or they are never in stock. For example- Kevita- the probiotic drink- never see it in any flavor but the most disgusting one- cayenne/lemon Daiya cheese- that's completely gone now- looks like it's been replaced with a different cheese "veggie shreds" which is not a replacement, it's not vegan. I buy diet coke for my boyfriend while I am there- Yesterday I could only find ONE small bottle of diet coke in the entire store- seems pretty weird but it happens all the time. Also- for the love of god- STOP having a blaring announcement every time the phone rings over the entire store- I think I heard "telephone call on line 28973894" over and over and over and over and over again the last time I was there. Nobody wants to hear it. So, now, I go to market basket- they have every flavor of Kevita, all flavors of Daiya and a huge gf section. I know Im not the "normal" customer- but I am a customer that comes to this place four times a week and spends insane amounts of money on specialty foods. read more

I won't lie I'm not a huge Stop & Shop fan but this location is the best one out of the 5 locations in my area. This location is spacious inside and has ample parking in its plaza. it also has a gas station on site. the gas station still appears to offer price reductions for stop & Shop points. The staff at this location seem friendly and knowledgeable about the various departments within the store. also, they properly staff this particular location so you don't have long lines. I give 4 out of 5 stars and wouldn't certainly recommend this location to others. read more

I shop here as a last resort. This place is the most ghetto grocery store I have ever shopped at and keep in mind that I have lived my entire life in an inner city. We"ll start with the fruits &veggies: The produce is almost always to ripe, nearly rotten or even rotten most of the time. The meat department has often little to no selection and what's there is usually grayish in color the pork was a greige color last night and that was all of the pork chop, ribs and loins. The hamburg was also lackluster in color somewhere between a light pink with a brown hue. I don't know about you but I tend to like my red meat...well. Red. The chicken was gross the package was puffy and if you handle food you know that when meat packaging starts to puff that means the meat is spoiled or spoiling. I've been here a few time since I've moved to Attleboro it's not my preference because each time I've come here this is my experience I'm not sure why I keep hoping for something to change. Some staff can be rude if you can find one. They have 1 or 2 registers open even when they're busy and I refuse to use self checkout. I just can't fathom how a big chain supermarket can be so gross. I've shopped at Stop & Shops before and have never experienced this level of neglect. I'd rather shop at Américas food basket in Mattapan. read more

Been coming he for the last 3 years,since I bought a house in the area. But cannot shop here anymore. All your workers have no friendly personalities !! except for the manager Emily and another woman manager who are nice and have good skills communicating with customers. The manager Brendon is useless and not polite. You should keep people like him working in the back . he has no communication skills with customers to be a manager. Market basket the workers are polite to me and my wife. First the good things. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. But the selection of food products seems to shrink on a weekly basis. One week you're picking up your favorite item and the next week they stop carrying it. The quality of the precooked foods is very spotty from day-to-day (so I assume there is little consistency in the training of the staff). The meat selection is good for the most part -but often the steaks will be wedge cut instead of a good straight cut and if the meat dept staff are off for the day there is seldom "any in the back". But - as I said ... the store is clean. And that's always a plus in my book. read more

Help her..I asked him to get his finger out of my face, he proceeded to mouth off to me..I told him I wanted a manager he said go to service desk.I manager came over told him I didn't need to be spoken to like that he says oh god he isn't like that..Then we go back over and the clerk put all my stuff back within 2 minutes..He says to the manager I am not waiting on her..So Un professional!! Always love a renovated Stop&Shop! Stop&Shop is my favorite supermarket chain in Massachusetts, and while this one (on Route 1 in Attleborough) may be smaller than others, and have less in certain departments, it surely beats the store in North Attleborough! I'm a big person judging on appearance. While in some cases it's not right to judge by appearance, normally, stores with a decent appearance are enjoyable to shop at, especially grocery stores; who wants to be buying their FOOD from a dirty, frumpy, old store. This location is on the new side, renovated, clean and super organized. They have a whole bunch of my all-time FAV scanner guns, and the employees are all very friendly, Dylan (I'm pretty sure that was his name), at the service desk is super friendly. For the items they do sell, they seem to be stocked well, and for a small store, have a large section of Nature's Valley, which attracts a lot of people (especially around here, since Whole Foods isn't too close). Prices are pretty good, and definitely less than other Stop&Shop locations as much competition exists with Target, Walmart, and Market Basket being within a one mile radius. Definitely superior to the older North Attleborough location (which has great employees, but could use a facelift!) and a great choice for groceries in a not overwhelming environment (Walmart, Market Basket and Target are all ALWAYS packed!). 4 stars for the Attleborough Stop&Shop. read more

Shelf's are empty.You have 4 people working the deli and the only one actually working is the women meat cutter.I was double charged for some of my food.Who ever is running this store should open their eyes and see whats going on. read more

Ran in to buy flowers and a card. The lady at the floral counter was helpful. The selection was good. The card aisle was nearby making card selection convenient. I was able to check out in the floral department, saving a wait in the cash register line. read more

I can't give a Stop & Shop a high rating than 3 stars- I feel kinda bad about that because I shop here a lot when I don't need anything special- or when I just need my staples. I wish I could give them a better rating but there selection is just okay- and most of the time there fruit and veggies always look a little less fresh than Shaw's or Whole Foods. There customer service is so -so. In the produce, meat and deli departments it is fine- but at check out or the customer service counter is typically bad. read more

We've been shopping here since we moved from Mansfield, and most everything is the same (prices, produce, etc) aside from some changes in store layout. Wait, no salad bar? Is everythin expensive here? Their produce is ridiculously expensive. With these kibd if prices you would think everything is organic. Its not. Also it never seems ti be fully staffed. I used to go to the deli, but the orices have increased so much that i cant affird it. Their one thing i really do like is the prices and the gentlemen at the pharmacy. Been shopping here since they opened, based on their poor produce quality and inability to staff cashiers for the evening rush hour between 5 and 7 I find myself at Dave's in Cumberland multiple times per week. Perfect example.....last night, pop into Stop and Flop for a few items.....no baskets available....decided I wasn't going to walk from register to register to find one.....I could only carry 3 of the items I needed....so hey lost out on my basket/ring size....then stood in a line at the self checkout that was 7 deep back to the flower dept because they only had 2 cashiers working and they were dealing with full carriages and were slow as molasses. Due to this they forced pretty full carriages to the self checkout which is not the ideal situations. Stop & Flop.....please remove your craniums from thy backside as solving for retail cashiering is one of the easiest scheduling algorithms available.....I know, I do it for a living. Listen to me.....I gladly drive farther and pay more for better quality merchandise with a more efficient checkout experience. Let that sink in.....read it again if you have to. read more

Eh, good enough. On the plus side they seem to have restocked things well after all that COVID nonsense. And the self checkout is pretty efficient. That creepy floor sweeping robot is always getting in the way though. And it's pretty hit or miss whether other customers will respect any of the COVID precautions. read more

Went in today for a few things. Store was filthy. There was refrigerated items put in dry good sections everywhere we looked. Produce section was filthy. The floor was covered in onion peels, shreds of lettuce everywhere and empty cardboard boxes spread out. I had to rummage through half of the stock of red onions looking for one that wasn't mushy and soft. The worst part- we watched a mouse run across the aisle and slip into the base molding underneath the shelving. Mind you this was the day before the super bowl. The store was PACKED. If mice are running around with a full store imagine the infestation they must have when they are closed. I worked for years in a grocery store. I understand the challenges of a busy weekend in the grocery store, but this was completely unacceptable. Disgusting. read more

I'm giving this location one star because of the smell! I walked through the deli-seafood dept and couldn't believe how bad it smelled in there! I wanted to vomit. I love stop and shop.. I'll stay loyal rather than go to the new market basket because i love the gas points and coupons. I don't usually shop this stop and shop. I usually go to Broadway in Pawtucket. When I did shop here out of convenience the other day I liked the first impression of how "markety" it looked. Very cute! But out of EASE to shop I found it hard to find everything I needed in produce. I'd honestly rather have LANES instead of little squares scattered. My opinion doesn't really matter because I don't usually shop at this one but whatever.. That's just my thoughts. read more

This store is generally very good. The staff is stable and knowledgable. The store is always clean and rarely out of stock on items. There are several reduced for quick sale shelves. The bakery items at 50% (yesterdays price) off are generally a good deal some items are just not good one day old. My only negative comment would be about the reduced for quick sale produce shelves. I live a few hundred yards from the store so I do not tend to do long range planning when shopping there. Reduced produce is generaly produce which will not last long after purchase and if you are planning to use it that day or the next it will often be fresher than the produce that your neighbors bought 6 days ago while doing their once a week shopping. I have because it is convenient for me been a long time fan of the reduced shelves. About a year ago (perhaps two I am not sure) I went to the reduced shelf and it had been dramaticly changed. There were russet potatoes on that shelf repackaged and priced at $1.99 per pound. The russet potatos on the regular shelf were on sale at 10 pounds for $4.99. I thought it had to be a mistake so I asked one of the produce staff if he thought that it was a mistake. He told me that a new corporate policy limited them from reducing produce more than 50%. I asked him if he thought that $1.99/lb was less than 50% of $0.50/lb. He told me that he had no control. I returned to the shelf and found that most items were reduced by so little that it was hard to say if they had been reduced at all. Since then I still go over to look (with a few rare exceptions, bananas are the only item worth buying) and there are lots of items which are marked UP (unit pricing) and very few items which are really marked down. A price reduction of 5% to 20% for bruised, damaged, or just plain old produce is not incentive to buy when an other store may have that item on sale fresh for that same (reduced for quick sale) price or less. I hope that the store which does support a local food pantry has changed the reduction policy in order to donate their older produce to that or other food pantries. In general I still do most of my shopping at that Stop and Shop but I do go to an other market a lot more often now for fresh produce. OH one other note: that Stop and Shop never ever sells Polar Raspberry/Lime soda except in the diet version, so I am forced to go to Shaws in the summer when we use that soda for making Lime Rickeys. read more
