Anyways I barely got to the chip isle trying not to collapse due to the horrid stench that surrounded this underwhelming establishment or shall I say. Crap hole, anyhow. Me and Berlerp advanced to the soup isle in preparation for our "tuna fish artichoke collar green dippery do specialty soup" which I did not make by the way. Credits to Megan flap by the way! All went well until I headed to the deli meats, I was greeted with a throw up worthy aroma putting me into a light headed mess, the last time this happened was when I participated in a hot and heavy Pilates lesson. As I was proceeding to the checkout I heard a beautiful voice interposing my ear rectums, she said "Kyle Migiligin please come to the front" that's when it all added up I must have left burlerp in the soup isle! Holy hell! I sprinted towards the front hoping Berlerp was pleasurably content, on the way there it struct me I had my sleep wear up and up zipper Skechers! Instead of my proverbial Velcro striding flippers, this caused me to tumble feet first on to the jello display fuck sakes! Thankfully I managed to grab the carriage and pull myself up. Finally me and Berlurp left the hell hole and headed home! Anyways guys decent work but could use some Febreze. Other than the exorbitant prices, the customer service is poor. I was at the self-checkout, and it wasn't recording the price and the register said help is on its way. After several minutes of waiting, I searched for this "said called help" and still no one available to assist. I then asked an employee stocking shelves nearby for her assistance to which she replied someone at the front of the store will help you. I told her I couldn't find help. She didn't care. How about calling someone for assistance? Or doing your job? Apparently in this day and age, that's too much to ask for. Wow, I'm really surprised at the reviews - I love this store , and shop here regularly. Very clean, always find what I want, employees are always helpful. Love the seafood department (always great salmon) . Cashiers are always nice. Only downfall as all other grocery stores are the prices, but we can't do anything about that. read more

I just want to tell people about my experience today 1/6 at Stop and shop in my neighborhood, the one I visit almost every day and some days more than once. I'm a Hispanic middle-aged woman, who happens to be an LCSW (Just to point out that I earned a degree in this country, so I can speak the language) I do have an accent and for that I have always suffered racist micro aggressions and remarks which have made me very aware of situations like this. I visited my local store today and went straight to the deli department, there was an older man that I have never seen before working that department. I told him I wanted roast beef, and I made the remark "the rarest you have", he asked me multiple times "what!" and I kept repeating myself saying "rarest, bloodiest, raw." After repeating many times what I wanted he said, "I don't speak your language". I was speaking English, so I asked him "what do you mean" and he reply, "I don't speak whatever you are speaking." Then he proceeds to turn around and cut the roast beef. I was on the phone with my daughter and she asked me if that guy really said that to me that way. I was very confused, and I felt disrespected, I told him that it was rude, and he totally ignored me and turned around. Then, I left. When I was leaving in tears I decided to speak to the manager. I went to find a manager and I told him about my experience, which he took with grace and told me that he was going to handle. He asked me if I wanted a gift card to get free roast beef the next time, and I told him that I didn't want anything free I was seeking for this to be handled and for nobody to experience this kind of treatment. I feel these situations need to be raised and people need to be trained to treat people with respect especially if you are in the customer service field. I understand that people might be having a bad day, but that doesn't give this person the right to treat me that way. I won't be back to the store and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feel this way. Expensive, store is in disarray, bathrooms are disgusting and freezers are never functioning correctly. Ice cream and other boxes in the freezer are always soft and ice glazed. Their temp control is not working yet when you tell someone it is in one ear and out the other. The bathrooms are a nightmare and to think the people that prepare your food in the deli, bakery, fish dept, meat dept or produce are in their is scary. Market Basket is changing the standards and this store needs to get their act together. read more

The main problem is that Management is not focused on the customer. One cashier Paul (short older guy) is slower than molasses and likes to strike up conversations with the customer....the problem is he is not capable of working while talking. Don't pick his checkout line even if it's the shortest. Avoid his line at all costs! Butcher/Seafood counter service is really mixed...ranging from excellent to awful. read more

I have lived close by this stop and shop for a good 6 years, I am a frequent shopper here, out of convenience only!. I feel like every employee I have come across is miserable. I've called to complain a few separate times because of how awful it is. I'm done complaining and literally done shopping there. I work in revere and will resort to going to that one on my way home as I've done before. I don't know why I've given this location so many chances but I'm completely done after last night. Expensive store. Terrible service at dunkin. Trevor is constantly back there playing with his phone. Approaches guests as is they're an inconvenience. It's an inconvenience shopping here. Today, there was a young child in the back of Dunkin. Violations? Shelves in the store aren't stocked. Bakery isn't replenished. Produce on the shelves expiring in two days. The girl at the deli was a complete a********. We were waiting for confirmation on food allergies to decide which salad we were going to buy, and she said, "can I help you?" I said, "oh we are just waiting on food allergies..." Then before I could finish my sentence, she rolled her eyes and walked away. I watched as my boyfriend finished his phone call, and she said something to the other person behind the counter and hey both turned and laughed at me. Very rude staff at Dunkin Donuts. Firstly he hid 20 feet away from the counter and was on his phone. He was not pleased when I asked for service. He did not like my emphasizing decaf instead of regular coffee. "I heard you the first time". Since I am courteous and friendly, getting back mean aggressive response is uncalled for. "Super Stop and Shop" Hmm? The Super is a tad misleading. This was my first experience with the chain and it nothing special. The prices are a high and selection is not the greatest. The do carry Boars Head brands in the deli section and they offer a service that allows you to place your order and they call you when it is ready which is sweet.The service is good and the staff is friendly. I think they should change the name to just Average Stop & Shop. read more

The place is shiney & clean. BUT.... If you want to be degraded for using coupons this is the place.... esp by Cheryl or Mary. They dont honor the full amount of the coupon, they dont/wont let you to get free items since they beleive youre scamming them. They will begin an agruement about it in front of other customers & workers. The customer service booth is closed in the morning so its not beneficial if you go in prior to work. read more

I like stop & shop mostly because it is so clean and bright. I do think, however, that it is really expensive unless you've spend hours cutting coupons and only bough on-sale items, which I never have time to do either. I often come here if I'm in the area and need a little something real quick. But otherwise, I stick to Market Basket. Much cheaper for the same stuff, although its smaller and maybe a little bit more crowded, I'd rather go someplace like that and save $$, especially on big shopping trips :) read more

Just wanna say how pleased I was at the deli this evening. I was grateful not to have to compete with a crowd, but mostly I was pleased with my server's attention to detail and desire to give me the best possible product. He showed me selections of what I had asked for and then gave me samples so I could approve the thickness. I felt totally catered to, which doesn't always happen at a busy deli! Usually I never put reviews up, but today it was more convenient to go to stop and shop instead of market basket (I was shopping for my mom who lives in Danvers). I wasn't sure how the lay out was due to the pandemic and I understand it may be stressful for the workers (I work at a grocery store myself), the way I was talked to twice by a worker managing the check out line was not friendly at all. I wasn't aware that the line was being regulated by her and it started in an aisle, and she did not speak to me the way a customer should be spoken to. Left very disappointed and felt a little dumb. She could have been a lot more friendly instead of being rude in front of many customers. I knew I should've gone to market basket, very great customer service there. read more

The lines are always really long, it is like they are never prepared staff wise. In their defense I do often see a "now hiring "sign. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you can really get some good deals on wine at this location. Some of my favorite wines go on sale and they will be 2 to 3 dollars cheaper than regular! I hate this store. I only stop here when I absolutely have to pick up something. They don't even stock their shelves and it really, really pisses me off when I make a special stop and they don't have the item I need. I'm not talking some obscure item either. I think one time it was Thomas English muffins (I am addicted to them). Another time, it was something like fresh parsley that I needed for some recipe. Another time, a special stop here for a Carvel Icecream cake...NOPE, on sale and no more in the freezer. The bakery people act like they don't know why you would have the audacity to stop at the bakery counter to ask a question like, "can i order a cake"? I don't shop at stop and shop very often but when I do I always use the self checkout lane. This time I had a lot of food and a lot of veggies so I figured it would be easier to go to a person this time. When I came up to the cashiers register I noticed she was disinfecting it, so I waited for her to be done because I didn't want to put my items up on a wet belt. She hits me with "are you all set or what?" I say "oh sorry I didn't want to put my stuff down if you weren't done". No response. Oookay.. I start putting my stuff up. She asks if I have a phone number, again I don't shop there often so I decide to give my moms number and I start to say it and she cuts me off "type it in, nothings changed in the last 3 months". she could have said "oh just type it in over here on the pin pad" and I would have been fine. But that attitude made my grab my stuff right off the conveyer belt and go right to self checkout. Maybe you need to retrain cashiers some customer service because I will never go back to this location. read more
