Great supermarket with nice weekly sales. Ice cream is on sale every single week! There's always a deal on orange juice, 2 for $5, sometimes 2 for $6. Cereal, beverages, you name it, there's always something good on sale here. I buy their store brand flavored sparkling water. It's dirt cheap and friggin delicious! They did some major renovations to the supermarket over the summer and it looks great! They have a larger and wider beer section now. This is literally my most favorite supermarket in my area. If I wanna shop cheaper than stop and shop, I goto Western Beef! read more

This is the worst store in the world. I complained that the meat I purchased made my family sick with diarrhea and told the manager how much the meat cost. He said that he could not do anything without the receipt. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I should sue the place for the bad meat and the mistreatment. This place is despicable. Me and my wife shop at this location because it has been the best grocery store in our area. Last Saturday my wife and I were doing our regular shopping trip and we're making quesadilla's so we picked up a bag of quesadilla cheese. When we opened the bag it had an awful smell coming from it so I checked the expiration date and it had expired 3 weeks prior to the date we purchased it. I called the store to inform them of their gross negligence by allowing product to sit on the shelf and be sold 3 weeks after it has expired and spoke with a rude customer service representative who didn't even ask what the product was and said if I had a problem then I just need to bring in the expired product then hung up the phone. Worst customer service and lazy staff for not checking product expirations on the shelf! read more

Hmm. I love stop and shop. But lately, I am "sincerely disappointed". The last two times I went and I go on a weekly basis, they had practically nothing in stock. Chicken... literally no chicken on the shelves except for one severely overpriced organic chicken breast on the bone. So not only did I end up spending nearly 10 dollars on about 2 pound of chicken (with the bones!) I had to spend like 40 minutes cutting it off the bone before I could cook with it! Over all Stop and Shop is convenient. Yes they can be on the expensive side. One issue that I do have is, those cloth bags you are supposed to get a .05 cent refund for each bag you use, this is a Stop and Shop "policy" and this Stop and Shop never gives me the refund! And it is always too late, since my boyfriend does the paying and I do the packing, and he doesn't seem to care. I am like dude that is 25 cents. To him that is no big deal... but let's do the math... so that's a dollar a month, and 12 months make's that 12 dollars. I know that doesn't seem like much. But that is still 12 dollars towards... something else. 12 whole dollars! Their sushi section is kind of lame looking, and I would not buy sushi there. Their uncooked shrimp in the seafood department is supposed to be deveined.... So not! I spend an hour doing it over last time because they were done improperly. We have also gotten mussels there, which have usually been in great condition, although I would rather get them at a real seafood store, since theirs tend to be on the "old" side. The most was I think 8 or 9 days after being harvested. They were still alive, but when it comes to seafood the fresher the better. Parking lot. If you go there... please don't be one of those people who will kill to get a parking on the main level when there is parking on the second level that is more than twice the size!!! read more

This is probably one of the nicest Stop & Shop locations I've ever been too, and without a doubt is one of the nicest grocery stores in all of Queens! This location reminds me of a store typically found in a ritzy upscale suburb. The store is HUGE, and right before thanksgiving everything is fully stocked! The employees are helpful, and don't seem like they hate their job or their life.. a rarity for that type of job! Overall I definitely recommend this location. read more

Queens is hard to navigate if you don't live near a subway station and this supermarket is far far away. Having a car isn't exactly necessary to shop here but depriving an old lady, pregnant woman, or 300lb man of their personal space on the bus will get u the evil eye. This place is great for one stop shopping cause it's huge and the prices aren't that much higher than your neighborhood grocery store. They have one of those Starbucks kiosks near the entrance for all you caffine junkies out there. I haven't tried any of the drinks but I suggest walking the extra few steps and going to the real starbucks store just outside the market. The kiosks u see inside stores are only licensed by the mother corporation and quality suffers because of this. Parking here can be tricky so beware of the concrete polls. Try to park on the first level cause the elevator is slow. read more

I love this stop and shop location. Usually it is pretty quiet, even on the weekends. Has a good parking lot where I always get a spot without waiting. And has the best vegetarian/vegan selection out of all the local stop and shops!!! I also enjoy the self checkout and I'm always in and out of this place so quickly. Great location and nice staff. In the last 2 years I have not once had staff be anything other than rude. And their produce is disgusting. These people should be embarrassed at the ridiculous prices they charge for G-d awful food. Big spacious clean and almost always well stocked. What more do you need in a supermarket. Parking lot seems small but if you go to second level there is plenty of rooftop spots. The only knock if I had any would be there is never enough registered opened. All though additional self check out registers were added. read more

Oh my. Apparently I have been slumming it when it comes to supermarkets. I like to do my food shopping based on the stores that have the best sales. I generally go to Pathmark in Ozone Park but I have been trying to eat fresher and healthier and their salad choices aren't so hot in price. I checked out S&S because they had the Dole bagged salads buy 1 get 1 free. When we walked in I felt like I was walking into Tiffany's. The produce section looked so fresh that even my notoriously unhealthy husband wanted to buy a bunch of stuff (and we did.) Their sales were actually pretty good and they had a very nice selection of food. Everything looked really fresh and there were a lot of choices. We even tried some of the S&S brand things and they were very good. Overall I am very impressed and have been here quite a few times. I haven't tried self check out yet but it seems like such a great idea and helps speed up your shopping time so I will give it a whirl next trip. read more

This is a really large and clean Stop & Shop! Make sure to avoid the chaos of the parking lot by going to the upper level where there is an elevator to the store and plenty of places to park your car without a problem. The deli and bakery section is the best around plus their prices are really great. It looks like the staff at this store knows what they are doing! read more

This is your regular old average suburban-style grocery store. The aisles are wide, everything is clean, and the sales are decent. Produce prices are in line with suburban grocery stores, though, it's usually cheaper to get produce at your neighborhood market. They double coupons, too, which is fantastic! read more

The store is always crowded..not enough registers open ever! It would be acceptable if the food was better...stop and shop brand food has gone way down hill.. We used to buy the store brand sliced cheese from the deli and it used to taste like...cheese! Now it is clearly oil based and quite nasty. Our family go-to supermarket with tons of weekly sales and overall great prices in general. Wide selection of items and their house brand items are also pretty decent as well. We split our time between here and Trader Joes on Metropolitian for all our food shopping needs. They also have a decent sized parking lot for those who drive in. read more

Great gluten-free selection with new products all the time. Frequent sales. Helpful and courteous staff. Diverse hiring policy. Always clean. Union shop (I don't mind waiting for a human cashier, but it's not usually a long wait). The prices are a little higher, but you get what you pay for, and I don't have to drive all over to find food I can eat. read more

Seems cluttered in some isles. Feel like I'm gonna trip over merchandise. I bought a bottle of the stores brand antacids, and didn't realize it was expired . Very crowded at times. It's an underground bunker. This is what supermarkets will be like after a nuclear war. Produce was sparse and what they had hadn't seen fresh in some time. Place was dirty, and since it was underground, you would expect better lighting. read more

Poor management here! No courtesy what so ever!! I forgot a coupon at home n was told they can not take a photo text of it or any form of e-coupon. I was told to come back with the coupon, as I return the customer service dept is putting their signs up and say they are closed we can not help you after I explained to them what happened......A $10 off coupon cost you a horrible rating and experience at this location! The amount of money i spend here and a simple coupon can't be honored as a one time courtesy......your prices and sales may be great but your customer service needs a lot of fine tuning .....because my time is your money....... read more

Love this one stop/shop over all . You can not find employes like the store manager! she runs all over the store picking up slack where ever she sees it . The employes are really friendly , i spend 150 at least a week here ! Price are good too , fresh seafood , meats etc . THE ONE PROBLEM HENRY THE MANAGER (HA) OF DELI. Stop and shop paid money a lot i am sure for 2 kiosks so shoppers can enter their orders ,continue shopping and when done pick up the order .. After the manager has admonished him 2 times he still refuses to plug the kiosks in . He has decided STOP AND SHOP belongs to him !! Refuses to keep it on claiming he does no have enough help. This is now the only supermarket I shop at. Very clean, well organised and in general staffers are willing to help you find what you're looking for. The only downside is that it's always busy so if you're going to stock up your trolley then go later in the evening (open till 11pm) or first thing. read more

I wanted to give this place one less star due to the frustrating parking garage where, if you try to park on the first floor and there are no spaces availabe you end up at the exit. I also wanted to give this place one less star due to the fact that the elevators are frequently out of service. But, the manager of this Stop and Shop is so welcoming and so in touch with his customers, that I have to give this place 5 stars because of the manager. I've been coming to this Stop and Shop since it opened. The current manager, who I believe is named Michelle, clearly has compassion for his staff. He appears to hire staff who is "challenged" and manages to keep his staff for years. This is truly admirable. I've also seen him filling in for a cashier, filling in for a stock person, and getting involved with the day to day operations of the store. There is no question that he cares about his staff and about his customers. Despite the parking garage frustrations I have to give this Stop and Shop 5 stars. The 5 star rating is because of the fantastic manager who truly understands the needs of the customers and truly understands his staff. read more

I ordered a baby shower sheet cake on a Friday night for Sunday morning. Pedro was so helpful and the flavors he suggested were fabulous! Chocolate mousse filler with yellow cake. All the women at the shower loved it. Even the owner of the restaurant where we held the shower asked where I got the cake!
