I don't go there anymore. Just recently I was there and asked one of the employees a simple question. She was very rude in her response and walked away from me. Maybe she needs a course in customer relations or something like that. Now I go to the Stop and Shop in South Setauket or the Fresh Grocers in Oakdale. Produce is overpriced and goes bad quickly, many other items are also overpriced, the place is dirty and has homeless people loitering around that steal items, and the current store manager is very narcissistic! There's also a heavy-set chick with glasses who works behind customer service with an attitude problem. I've also seen some of the employees being yelled at and spoken down to when it was uncalled for on many occasions. My granddaughter gave me $100 gift certificate that you purchased at Stop & Shop on Montauk highway in Sayville for Christmas there was no card in the package when I opened it she went to the store and told him about it and they keep giving her the runaround to this date I have not she has not received her money back they said it happened to other people to if that's the way they treat their customers please do not shop at the stop and shop thank you Still cannot get any help with this and it is July 2020 I cannot believe they are treating me this way read more

Everytime I buy meat or chicken here its bad. I've returned bad food to this market many times. It's gone down hill over past 9 yrs. Too bad it's the closest market to me it's my only choice. If I could give zero stars I would. I've ordered online pickup twice since I moved here. Both times I've waited excessively for my order. The first time I was physically in the store because I forgot to put something on my order (my fault) and they called me to tell me my order would be ready for an hour. The second time I sat in the parking Lot for over 30 minutes and then a manager came out and said sorry for the delay we are backed up. Don't commit to orders you cannot fulfill for people during their selected time. The reason for online pickup is for people with busy lifestyles. If I knew it would take this long I would have shopped myself. read more

Only complaint I have about this place is that their employees who gather up and return the shopping carriages left in the parking lot back to the store do too good of a job. I need a carriage to help me walk and I always try to park near one that's been left in the lot by other customers. I go here and they're almost always back in the store. So if the manager is reading this now you know your employees are doing what you tell them to do. read more

The absolute worst grocery store on Long Island. The actual stop and shop. Grocery store chain is horrible to begin with. Store never has enough cashiers at the registers causing lines to going up and down the aisles while trying to check out. No direction where the line starts with employees standing around, looking at the long disorganized lines not trying to organize the lines. The lay out of the store makes no sense. Unlike any other grocery store on Long Island. It seems to be out of stock of items every time I go to this location. The produce is often turning bad. The deli never has enough people behind the counter. The over all select of products seem to be less then other grocery stores. All and all this is a last resort as far as shopping. It's never a pleasant shop. Rather go to Guntia's a small family owned Grocery store where every cash register has an employee behind it. The produce area blows all of the stop and shops away. Besides the produce, Guntias the meat section by far is so much better, with selection and quality then stop and shops. Advice would be to stay away from Sayville Stop & Shop but don't be fooled,the Bohemia is just a little bit better. To bad you can give a zero or even better a negative rating. read more

This has to be the worst grocery store around. The selection is horrible and the staff is just as bad. Tonight I bought some items and told the cashier, Carmela, that I needed a bag. She added the five cents gave me my change and moved on to the next customer without bagging my items! How clueless was that. There are frequent long lines while 4 employees are hanging out chatting at the courtesy service counter. When will management or corporate address these problems that have been going on for years. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this store is terrible , I live seriously a min away & hav to drive to meat farms or best yet market to get items that stop n shop just don't seem to hav.. " what super market dosnt hav flavored coffee creamers .. so crazy the store never restockes for some reason. Bad management I guess . Sorry stop n shop gonna switch to shop rite! A friend of mines went into the store to buy an item and because his ID was from another state they denied him to use his card. The female manager exact words were "I'm not going to take this because your ID isn't from New York, Go somewhere else". I would hate to pull the race card but I've never witness anything like that before, you don't tell a customer go somewhere else as if they are not welcomed.
