One had the decor of a Chevron gas station but no Chevron sign and the other looked to be a Shell station converted to a Chevron station with a Chevron sign out front. I went to the one with a Chevron sign out front (this one). The cashier in the convenience store was friendly, the restrooms were clean, and the snacks were reasonably priced. Fueling was straightforward and the gas itself was a good deal. I paid a little under $12 for a little over 5.5 gallons of gas. It was easy to pull in to and out of the pumping stations and the parking along the convenience store was also easy to access. There was ample space for lines if fueling up at a busy time.

Easy in, easy out with smaller than most lanes for the cars at the pumps but enough room that it's not dangerous. As far as convenience stores goes, this one is pretty Janky. They've got all the cheese laden carbs and energy drinks that you're looking for, and the bathroom has a pretty constant leak from outside and it's rather cold. Not a place to linger! Not great, but not as either - kind of the gas station equivalent of the little bears porridge in little red riding hood. Good for what you need and not much else....like a gas station should be!

There was no driveway, no yellow curb, no official City of Cle Elum parking sign, and no other indication that curb parking was restricted. The only "No Parking/Tow Away" sign was attached to the fence of a private residence behind the public sidewalk. Under Washington law, a private impound applies to vehicles on private property, while a public impound is authorized by law enforcement or another public official with jurisdiction over the public property. See RCW 46.55.010 and RCW 46.55.080. I have not found any Cle Elum ordinance authorizing private residents or tow operators to reserve or tow vehicles from otherwise unrestricted public street parking. Rather than explaining any legal authority, the driver simply told me to move my car after backing up with lights on posturing. Bummer for him, I had a bad day and am a lawyer, but also too tired to confront a wanna be cowboy. I moved my vehicle because it wasn't worth risking an improper tow, but the experience was unnecessarily hostile and intimidating.

Of course, as mentioned in a couple other reviews, the bathrooms are surprisingly decent. Usually a truck stop/rest stop bathroom is usually reserved to describe something extremely unpleasant but Warrior's is alright. If you have to make a stop here, it may be one of the better ones you have to make. It is the designated break stop when using the WV Shuttle.

It's an older gas station that hasn't seen much upkeep. The restroom was usable, but barely. It was dirty and in poor condition. Only four pumps are available, so it felt crowded quickly, even with just a few cars. The layout of the parking lot was a mess, with no clear flow or direction. I started coming to this gas station Because it tends to be quicker to get in and out of when we are driving back to the east side of the mountains. The guys that work here are always incredibly friendly and do a great job of keeping the place clean, well lit and, they tend to have gas that's about a penny cheaper than the other guys. To my eternal delight, they pointed out that they have Indian food for sale. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had came from a small gas station in Yakima, when an Indian family bought it and the mom started cooking. That appears to be what's going on here as well! The Indian gentleman who run the place seem to be Family or friends, and do an incredible job on all fronts. That now includes the Indian food! There's a freezer, now two or three, in the back of the restaurant that has 15 or 20 different restaurant quality Indian dishes. We sampled, goat, lamb, chicken, paneer (Indian cheese), and vegetable options. Everything we've had here, including the bagged garlic naan, has been amazing! We will grab two of the entrées and a bag of non-, and it feeds us for a couple of meals. It taste like somebody's mom or wife made it, and everything is legitimately worth going back for.
