I was recently there on a Monday evening about 6pm. I noticed they served breakfast so I ordered scrambled eggs, Swedish meatball, American fries and toast. Our waitress was pleasant and our wait time was short. When I received my meal, I remember thinking I had never seen scrambled eggs look like that before. They looked like a mess and had no taste. My American fries had been burned so badly they were literally black and crusty. I could barely stab them with my fork. The meatballs were not what I consider Swedish and I'm Swedish! They were in a thick, dark brown gravy and that is not what I consider Swedish meatballs to be. They were tasty compared to the other items. I didn't end up eating my toast as it was literally soaked in butter. I was very disappointed with my entire meal. I have had their burgers and fries and always enjoyed those but the breakfast left a LOT to be desired, unfortunately. read more

We lost our Storheims in Green Bay roughly 10 years ago, and both my wife and I were stoked when we discovered that there was still a Storheims in Iron Mountain. After shopping in the morning, we stopped in for lunch with the kids. The food wasn't bad, the staff was friendly, but everything from the menu, food, inside decorations was just so different than we remembered, that it just kind of squashed the excitement. Mind you, for Valentines Day, my wife and I drove from Green Bay to Sturgis, Michigan to visit the last remaining Hot 'N Now in the world. We were trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice, but it just didn't pan out. We will be going back at some point, with our expectations being more realistic. Two is generous. We were a party of 6. We were told our food would be out shortly and over 1 hour later we got our food. My berries/custard never came out for the pancakes. The soup wasn't microwaved all the way through so it was steaming but barely warm. The ice cream order got messed up three times and after that we gave up. The waitress was nice and the food wasn't too bad, so there's where the two comes in. We definitely will not be back any time soon which is a bummer. Always treated with a smile, friendly staff, comes to you right away with your drinks and menu, tells you about the daily deals sometimes they have buffets also, we tried there hamburgers and they were great, there fish was great, but on the smaller portion size, and there pizza and pasta buffet was good, the salad I love e and the homemade speggetti sauce is delicious!! My daughter just loves there grilled cheese sandwiches, no one makes them that good and cheessy, a great place to go for custard also, we went after taking kids and some friends swimming and order the earthquick I believe it's called, oh my it was so huge, even with Sox kids we had some left! Storheim's - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Iron Mountain, Michigan

Storheim's is a great place for a quick bite and frozen custard if you're in the mood. (Quick unless you order a pizza, that is, then you'll be waiting for a while). Just try not to look at their overstimulating sign as you drive by... or you may crash trying to catch the flavor of the day. They do have a drive through as well as a good number of tables inside. Atmosphere is not it's strong point, but I don't think that's really what they're going for. As the other review mentions, it's pretty much like a Culver's. All the food I've had here is at least decent as Culvers (not a real high standard, but you know what you're getting here) and their frozen custard is always a lovely treat. read more

We have been going to Storeheims for several years. The food is always delicious, the staff is very accommodating and friendly, and it is so much better than Culver's. The Italian buffet on Thursday is especially popular with my grandkids. read more

Think: a more rustic version of Culver's. Seriously. It even has the same color palette going on with the gray brick exterior and azure-blue accents. The only thing that sets Storheim's apart, from an aesthetic-standpoint, is the wooded interior of this fast food stop. That is, the seating and walls are essentially all composed of logs :D Service: on point. Custard: yUm. Prices: decent - not exceptionally cheap, but not crazy expensive. *Note -they do have some other food options at this place, like pizza, I believe? but we just tried out the custard. read more

Cross between fast food and home cooking! Waitresses were ok but not the friendliest. No atmosphere. Wife and I had Swedish meatballs that were tasty but the real mashed potatoes could have been warmers. Iron Mountain is not known for its culinary tradition. There were not a lot of choices. This venue served inexpensive and decent food but don't think I'd go back if I was ever in Iron Mountain again. Now that I think about it see no reason to ever go back to Iron Mountain!! read more

This is an old classic. Pick this over Culvers 11/10 times. Unique menu. Great staff and good quality burgers

Great desserts (custard and more)? Yep. Great burgers? Yep. (Packer burger is decently big.) Great breakfast? Oh yeah. Second only to B's in town. Try the cardamom toast. Pizza? Meh. Two parties sat down, ordered, ate, and left before we even had our meals on the table. Almost felt like we were at the forgotten table.

I've stopped at Storheim's every time I've been in da U.P. for their creamy frozen custard, but I had never tried any of their other food until my last visit. On a whim, I decided to try their Swedish pancake breakfast. It was very good! Thin, Swedish-style pancakes served with lingonberries, Swedish meatballs (you can also get ham or sausage on the side), hash browns - all were great. read more

All time worst buffet experience I have encountered in my 29 years of life.... Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, and the interior remodels they did great as well. The wait staff was short, meaning two waitresses for a packed Sunday morning breakfast was NOT enough. The owner was trying to direct them, but they were not accomplishing anything. Saw way too many tables waiting for drinks, plates to be cleared, and even for their bills. Our waitress was so bad that she only came to our table twice in the hour and twenty minutes we were there. I had to get up and ask for more drinks, grab more napkins for our table, and try to stack our plates seven high so we could have room to eat. Right before we left our waitress glared at our table while walking by trying to see the tip we left. Because she had only come to the table one time to pour more coffee, and one other time to give us our bill, we left $3. As she passed our table under her breath, she mumbled "Three *CURSE WORD* dollars." It was unbelievable. My 9-year-old son saw her say it too. Thoroughly unimpressed.... Like I said the food was delicious, but the small amounts that are made to bring out were gone as soon as people saw it there. Instead of making double batches to ensure people were able to get food, they continued to make one small batch at a time. We waited for over 20 minutes for more scrambled eggs and bacon to come out before finally paying our bill and leaving. read more
