Crab tots, twisted cauliflower, and crab cake appetizers.
    Megan T.

We were in Florida for a quick weekend and wanted to grab some lunch at Stormrunners Tavern while we were in town. I am glad this was the place we chose, as it was fantastic! What we got: *Mango Meltdown - A frozen drink of mango and strawberry flavors, so refreshing on a warm day at a waterfront restaurant! *Category 5 Crab Tots - neither of us really eat tater tots, but this menu item sounded too good to pass up. I'm glad we went with it because it was hearty and flavorful with all the tots, cheese, and lots of crab! *Crab Cakes - really good crab cakes, with plenty of crab. *Twisted Cauliflower - our server warned us these would be spicy, but we were okay with that. They definitely had a kick from thai sauce and hot honey, but nothing that made it uncomfortable to eat, the right amount of spice. We had ours grilled, and enjoyed every bite. Needless to say, we ordered a fantastic meal of appetizers to split while enjoying the waterfront view on a beautiful day. If you are in the area, I highly recommend!

My first visit to Gulfport and I needed a quick lunch spot near the venue. Stopped in with a group of three and had our food out in 15 minutes! I just got a salad but it was fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly. View doesn't suck either.....

If you're looking for a great dining experience with a view of the water- this is the place! The service was good, the waitress we had was very nice and helped us with some of her own recommendations. Food was really good! Really liked the fish dip (very flavorful) and my BBQ sandwich was really good as well! -Kids eat free on Sundays and look at that 10 for $10 lunch menu

Excellent service with Amy for a late lunch with beautiful views of the inner coastal waters. Smoked dip was yummy and the Onion dip was to die for. Will definitely be back.

Today I took a leisurely stroll down the Pinellas Bike Trail and ended up at Stormrunners. It was a beautiful day with a great view of the inner coastal! I went up stairs and was greeted by CC and Amy Stormrunners Superstar Reps armed with a smile and bright personalities! Check out the food! My Burger was amazing and they customized it to my spec with Perfection! Can't wait to go back! Let's not forget the live one man band, "Big Gravy"!!! Fantastic atmosphere! Many thanks to all for your hard work! It definitely shows!

We really loved the views from the upper floor. Our server Cierra was nice and pretty attentive. The food was not bad but also not highly remarkable. My tater tots were the most flavorful part of the meal. The Korean Bulgogi tacos were unique but the meat was a bit tougher than it should be.

Friendly bartenders, nice strong drinks, and an overall good time! Ambiance is lively and inviting. I had a cbd infused tequila cocktail. Consume at your own risk! I was feeling alright for the night! There's so much to do outside of this bar. I enjoy this area a lot!

OBSESSED with this place! Great drinks, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Can't beat the view either! They had a great DJ the night we went too. Will definitely be back soon!!

We went there with some friends for their "soft opening". Considering the place is not even officially opened yet, my comments are going to be about the physical space and bar area at this point. After they get up and going and have the kitchen with some experience behind it I will try to come back and leave a review on the food (they weren't serving food later on in the evening of their soft opening night). The place overall is really cool and you can tell a lot of effort went into the physical design. Perfect location on the corner in Gulfport and the second floor bar and viewing area will definitely be a fun place to go. They also have an outside area on the first floor that's very dog friendly that always adds to the atmosphere. We sat at the main bar on the first floor. Service was very attentive and all the employees seemed like they were really enjoying themselves and the crowd for the first night. Really positive atmosphere. Service was fast and the drinks were good. Prices seem very reasonable from looking through the menu. Giving this a five star for the soft opening and just based on physical layout, service and staff. I'm sure we will be coming back once they get their legs underneath of them and I will try to update this with more comments on the food. Definitely a place worth stopping in.

Let me start by saying that this was their first day with paying customers. Some say that you shouldn't review until a business has had weeks to get things right. I say this restaurant has 3 owners who all own other restaurants and this place should have all hands on deck for this opening. No manager ever came by to see how the food was and the tables were only half full. Overall the food was just ok with one big exception, the tortillas on the tacos were like trying to chew leather, completely inedible. Honestly dont know how you can possibly get them that tough and we have been eating tacos for over 4 decades. We told the server, said she would add it to the list for the manager. Messaged the restaurant and got a lukewarm reply that they mostly get great reviews. Ok, so not wowed by the food at all and will no doubt keep going to O'Maddys and Neptune grill which in 9 years we have never had a bad meal. The place looks great and I hope that they improve, but this was today's honest experience and that is what yelp and reviews are for. Perhaps if we eat here in the future with a better experience we will update with a better review. We wish them the best

Parking is minimum $50 a day + fees. A cocktail? For an hour? Haha no. I'm being mildly disingenuous. The bar staff (and likely restaurant staff) will give you a QR code to validate all $58 of your parking. But it made me acutely miss a time when you could just park and patronize an establishment. Just don't forget to validate your parking, cuz they sure didn't ask preemptively. They were celebrating a 3-day grand reopening when we went on Saturday. There was *one* artisan in their market space. The music was pumping loud enough to not be able to converse. Although it drew a crowd of younger folks, there was not much to behold from the "grand" reopening. Not even s cost of paint. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. A bar that wants to serve tourists with mediocrity and move on to the next crop of people who will never be there again. If you're a tourist it'll probably be fine, if overpriced. If you're a local, don't bother. To be fair, we should ask if there was anything good. hm ... no. We won't be returning. 3 stars is probably generous.

Walked out questioning every life choice that didn't lead me here sooner. First, the Blue Hawaii. The menu literally says "discover what lurks inside this shark infested bowl" -- reader, I discovered it. It lurks. It lurks HARD. $29 for a triple-size cocktail you could legally register as a swimming pool? Reasonably priced. I'd pay that just for the cherries on top, which were arranged with the dignity of a Vegas headliner. The frozen cocktails in general are a steal. Pina Colada at $11, Lava Flow at $11, Hawaiian Mai Tai at $10 with a *dark rum floater* like it's just casually showing up to the party uninvited. I had a Cou-Cou Cooler and now I understand why it's called that. I am, in fact, cou-cou. Ordered the Florida Pork Nachos because I am a patriot. The mojo pulled pork, jalapeño queso, pineapple pico -- at one point I made eye contact with the flamingo on the menu and I swear he nodded at me like, "yeah, brother. yeah." Also got the Tiki Bleu Burger. Bleu cheese crumbles AND bleu cheese mayo. They're not playing. This burger has a position on bleu cheese and I respect that. My friend got the Warm New England Lobster Roll. She has not spoken to me since because she's still emotionally processing it. $33.99 well spent. Saved room for the Banana Butter Cake like the menu BEGGED me to, and I'm glad I listened because it has the audacity to be that good. We only had one drink and 2 apps and was there for just about 90 minutes. So much for a quick bite. We will most likely not come during peak hours. The good: Got to catch a great sunset and have a tasty and healthy dinner ( ahi and pineapple chicken quesadilla )...the accompanying salsa for the latter was good and we wanted more than the tiny cup it came in, but since no one came to check on us, the taste of the quesadilla decreased.

You can eat at the bar or at any of the picnic tables that you pass on the way to a kind of food truck with a window where you order your food and buy bottles of soda and iced tea from a vat full of ice. I loved the vibes right away. I got in line at the "truck". Then it was my turn to order. Well, whaddaya know, they just ran out of blue crabs! And no soft-shell crabs were available as the water they live in is not warm enough yet. But they did have one of my favorite seafood delicacies, stone crab claws, so I ordered those instead, and asked for the mustard sauce instead of melted butter. I also ordered French fries and cole slaw for my sides. And then I ordered one-half dozen raw oysters, because. I was given a little wire stand with a card inserted into the top with my order number on it, to be placed on my table. Then I sauntered over to the bar and ordered an IPA from the busy, bearded and well-tattooed bartender. If you are wearing shades you will be admonished to remove them before paying, and I saw why, as the display on the... pay thingy has excessive polarization. Next I found a good spot in the shade and sipped my beer and checked the place out. Was there music? I think so, but I can't remember! Just all kinds of folks having a good time. Two preschoolers were busily playing in the sand by the main walkway to the food line, and took up most of the path most of the time, but nobody seemed to mind. If you aren't into playing with little trucks in the sand I think there is also corn hole off in one corner. If you don't know what that is, I dare you to look it up. After not too long some plates of food showed up, and I took some pictures and then got busy. First I tried the fries, because they are best when fresh and hot, but the fries were limp and sad. I just let their little ol' hand-cut selves alone. The oysters were served on the half shell on ice, and came with nice hot grated horseradish and cocktail sauce, plenty of lemon wedges, and saltine crackers. They were excellent! Then I turned my attention to the claws, glorious stone crab claws. I noticed that I was given butter instead of mustard sauce. That didn't stop me. But what did slow me down was the lack of a claw-cracker. The claws were pre-cracked a bit, but not in a way that was helpful to get at the meat. And I need leverage to rip the joints apart as my fingers don't work like they used to, so I asked for, and received quickly, a cracker. Some of the claws were on the small side, and the meat in some of the claws was a bit soft-feeling, but it was all pretty tasty. However, they fell short of my previous experiences elsewhere, including when I cooked some at home a few years ago. The cole slaw was very good. The young guy who brought my food and cracker tool was friendly, and quite funny. The woman who took my order was also nice. The bartender was just to busy to be anything but awesome. So all in all, the food was a bit of a letdown. I will try to go back for the crabs, and I saw hush puppies in a photo, that would be better than the fries.
