We visited Pier Teaki when we explored downtown St. Petersburg on Wednesday. We parked our car on the street and took the free shuttle to the pier. Located on the fourth floor of the Pier Point structure, Pier Teaki offers a fantastic waterfront setting with beautiful views. We hurried into Pier Teaki because a thunderstorm was expected to arrive within an hour. Luckily, we found a cozy cabana where we could relax while watching the dark clouds roll in. For drinks, we ordered the NA Piña Colada ($9) and the NA Passionate Pineapple ($9). Both were refreshing, flavorful, and excellent non-alcoholic choices. We also shared the Dip Trio ($14), which was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the drinks. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing! it was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the ocean breeze, and take in the waterfront views. In the end, the strong winds pushed the storm clouds away, and it never rained after all. We had a wonderful experience at Pier Teaki and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting downtown St. Petersburg. read more

The weather cooled off beautifully last night, so my husband and I decided to enjoy dinner with the sunset outside at Pier Teaki. Being on that upper deck at sunset was magical! Seating is first come first served and seat yourself. We were greeted right away and our server quickly took our order. Once we got our food, we never were quality checked and drinks weren't refilled. Not sure where our server disappeared to? Food was surprisingly good! We got an order of wings, ceviche, a smash burger, and mahi tacos. The wings were so crispy and delicious that we didn't even use any of the buffalo sauce or ranch that we ordered on the side. Highly recommend! The tacos and burger were both on point. Our only complaint was that the ceviche was super fresh and refreshing, but the knife cuts were terrible so we'd end up with large pieces of fish just kind of stuck together not fully cut apart which was a little unappetizing. I've been to this pier a couple of times while visiting St. Pete, and it's become one of my favorite places to stop. The first time I came, I brought my rollerblades and decided to get in a workout by skating all the way to the end of the pier. I even stopped at the coffee shop on the first floor afterward for a well-earned caffeine fix. Since I was there at the crack of dawn, the upstairs wasn't open yet. This visit was a completely different experience. The four of us made the long walk to the top floor restaurant, grabbed a high-top table, and enjoyed the incredible waterfront views. We ordered some fun, over-the-top cocktails, snapped plenty of pictures, and spent the afternoon soaking in the atmosphere. Come for the views!! I would not make a special trip to this bar, but if I was down by the pier and felt like a fun drink, I would stop in. Getting a table or getting service in general is always chaotic. The drinks are pretty good but expensive, and the food is just ok too (we had wings and flatbreads). It was a Saturday night and the bar was packed. There was a DJ giving it a club vibe. We got cocktails that came in fun tiki cups. They have a menu of bites. The only part that I did not love-- it wasn't a windy night, but it was super windy there. I felt like I was getting wind blasted which was a bit unplesant, lol. Ambiance: If you're visiting downtown St. Pete, this is an absolute must-stop. You come here for the vibes. The views of the water and downtown St. Pete are stunning, especially at sunset. There are tons of seating options, including couches, high- and low-top tables, bar-style seating around the perimeter, and even tiki huts that I believe can be reserved for groups (I'm not entirely sure how reservations or pricing work). This would be a great spot for friend groups or for pre-dinner drinks on a date. Instagram-worthy: 100%. This is a fantastic spot for photos. Drinks: We ordered a piña colada and a spicy margarita. Both drinks were very cute and very strong. My margarita was a bit cucumber-forward, which wasn't my personal favorite... but to be fair, it was listed on the menu. Food: We didn't order any food, so I can't personally comment, but the menu looked like typical bar food. Getting there: The bar is located at the very end of the pier, above a small gift shop. We went to Driftwoods for coffee and a danish (always great!) and we ended up going up the stairs and discovering the rooftop Teaki on the end of St Pete's Pier... we sat done and had panoramic views of Tampa Bay... it was pretty toasty and warm today... but that high up offers a wonderful breeze that felt like the perfect AC... we ended up sharing a Margarita Flatbread, having a couple adult beverages and a lot of water for the long walk back to our wheels. We arrived shortly after a rainstorm, and since the seating isn't covered, everything was still wet--which was a bit of a bummer. That said, we decided to stick it out, and I'm glad we did. We shared a few appetizers and had some drinks. The menu is on the smaller side, and the food is definitely on the pricey end for the portion and quality. The staff was great too. My server Ashley was polite, funny and super laid back. I didn't eat this time, just grabbed drinks. My old fashioned was $17.98, small but very strong and really good. Just a heads up, there's a 20 percent service fee added to purchases, which seems common around St. Pete at this point. I'd absolutely come back. If you're in the area, it's worth the visit. Pier Teaki is a rooftop bar with amazing views of St. Pete! While I didn't care for my drink that much, I really enjoyed spending an evening here watching the sunset. We even saw a manatee swimming in the water, which was a nice surprise. Around 7:30 they had a DJ come out, which definitely made our experience here. We went on a Friday night, and as the evening went on it got busier, but never felt overly crowded. I appreciated that different staff members checked on us throughout the evening. Pier Teaki is a great spot for outdoor drinks and watching the boats on the St Pete Pier. We went here a few weeks ago and had a great experience! Drinks are a little on the pricey side my Rum Runner was $20 including tip. If you are looking to splurge and enjoy the views it's worth it. Parking is a little hard to come by and it is costly in some parts of St Pete. We ended up parking in a garage a little out of the way for $20. It's a fun outdoor area though plenty of seats and areas to watch. The tourists can be a bit annoying but honestly that's anywhere you go in Florida these days. My daughter and I wanted to visit the Saint Petersburg pier on a Sunday afternoon just around sunset. After wandering around the shops and attractions, it was hard to resist the restaurant at the end of the pier with a bar on the top floor. We were greeted by friendly servers, including Nicholas who took good care of us. He helped me select a local craft beer from the menu, and we ordered some tater tots and a flatbread. I definitely recognize you would come here for the views and some drinks and not the food, which I'd say is true. Unacceptable double standards and fake service I had a terrible experience at Pier Tiki due to blatant, exclusionary double standards. I sat down at an empty bar and asked the bartender for an espresso martini. He looked me in the eye and lied, telling me, "We don't have espresso at this bar," and offered me a canned drink instead. I ordered a different cocktail and closed my tab. Minutes later, a couple sat right next to me and ordered from the exact same bartender--who immediately made them proper espresso martinis without a second thought. As a dark-skinned Afro-Latina woman, having a bartender flat-out lie to deny me a drink while turning around to serve it to white patrons right in front of me is unacceptable. Whether it was a microaggression or outright discrimination, it made it crystal clear who is welcomed here and who isn't. Management needs to address their staff immediately. This is one of the restaurants at the St. Pete pier and we ended up going twice for the most amazing views ever! It is absolutely breathtaking and we just couldn't get enough of it. Ambience and the views: 10/5. Unfortunately the food and drinks were pretty lacking. Pier Teaki Signature Smash burger $17- the description sounded yummy: manchego, sriracha guava sauce, caramelized onions, shoestring potatoes. It was however extremely sweet from the sauce and not spicy at all. The bottom bun was very soggy from the sauce. I asked for some lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ketchup/mayo and that helped a lot. Peterburger $14 was just ok. Had to add ketchup/mayo for some flavor. Kinda weird they don't provide any fries or chips with the burger. Pier Tiki rum runner $13 was so so. It wasn't sweet at all and not what we expected. Although I wasn't very happy with the food and drinks, I'd definitely go back to enjoy the amazing views. It would be a 5 star restaurant for sure if they can improve on their food. They also add a mandatory 20 percent gratuity. Normally that would bug me but I didn't mind at all solely because of the magnificent views and ambience. read more

It was a hot day but we walked out there- there is a free tram you can catch at the beginning of the pier if you don't feel like walking all the way out there. Service was quick, you can just walk up to the bar too. Food was pretty good- wish they cut up the ceviche as it was difficult to bite.. but the plantains were so good.
