Beer was great, food was decent. But it seem like the barbecue was not quite as good especially the brisket in the pulled pork.

My husband's favorite place to eat (and drink). They have a good selection of beer and he loves theor meat sampler platter with pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket. It comes with beans and a healthy p Sized piece of cornbread. We split the plattee between us and still have leftovers and we are big eaters. I also love their buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese. Our son ususally gets their sliders, which come with his choice of meat. I ways get the mimosa because I dont find their wine selection very expansive. We would eat their more often if they had better wine. Comfy atmosphere. Great service. Waoters have loint of sale i pads that they bring to your table which adds to the efficiency of the place. Food adequate (actually street tacos with pulled pork rocked), beer cold, service was initially awful. . The Borg wearing the Apple City Roller Derby tee was about as friendly as a rapid El chubracabra (sp) . Fish tacos are 5% soggy fish and 95% cabbage/lettuce. I mentioned this to our server. Her reply: Yeah, I get that a lot. Apparently not enough. My wife's wrap oddly had warm, soggy lettuce in it. Went on for lunch, waitress greeted with a smile, clean atmosphere, loud acoustics. When I asked if I could get a sample of their 5 beers that they brew she said I could only sample one or I could order the flight. Decided that if they wanted to sell their beer they would be accommodating like every other brewery I have ever been in. Decided to leave and travel 15 minutes to Manson to the Lake Chelan Brewery who allowed me to taste all 4 of there beers without hesitation. I live in Wenatchee and would highly recommend not going to Stormy Mountain brewery. If in Wenatchee, all the Breweries are great. read more

Food and drink and service were handled well for our large party. But don't order anything with shrimp in it. The shrimp are so shrimpy that you can't see them and imitation crab is added to make the food taste more seafood like. Not worth the extra $1-2 we paid for the shrimpy shrimp. read more

I loved the fact they were dog friendly ( you can sit outside with your pup), but the food.... was terrible... my husband ordered the tacos, the meat was SUPER dry and I ordered a southwest salad... a salad.... and the salad I could not even finish. I added chicken and the chicken was freezer burn to the point where you could see the freeze burn on it and the meat was so dry it crumbled when you chewed on it. The black beans weren't fresh and dry and the green onions and the lettuce weren't even chopped to bite size. I just paid and left without finishing my meal. My wife had the chili (I tried it too). We both agreed it was pretty good. I had the bratwurst and while the meat was good the bun was really dry and tough - like it was several days past its prime. The cornbread was good, but they serve it with honey butter - which my wife hates, and by the time one discovers the butter was tainted you have likely ruined the whole piece. The kettle chips are nice, but I expect fries or something more substantial for the price point. I am not a fan of those plywood booths. Some cushions would go a long way to making the seating more comfortable. Lastly, the service was good, but the server seemed to just not want to be there, not smiling or engaging in any way. read more

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. The place was pretty busy, but we found a table. We ordered 2 beers and 2 ciders. For dinner we ordered 3 burgers and a German sausage plate with chili. Our burgers were ice cold and flavorless. The sausage was good and the chili was good, but the entire bowl was filled with a big hunk of pulled pork that wasn't pulled. We told the server and she said "oh, sorry". When our bill came, it was $96. What? A different server billed us, but it's on an iPad so we didn't see the bill. Our server refunded us $40 for our awful burgers. We asked for a bill and realized they charged us for 4 ciders and 3 beers. They refunded us the entire bill and we left. They made good on a bad situation and the server was good, she still got a tip. We won't try it again. read more

This place has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing!! The staff is also very helpful and hard working but my only compliant is that the band Twin Skinny is ALWAYS there and they play the same songs each time. Like, could the management please find some other bands? I love coming here but not if the same band is always there... Also, the beer list should be changed up every so often. When we came here we weren't sure if we walked into a brewery or hooters! The servers who were all girls 16-20 something were dressed in tied up shirts short shorts and spanx! Since the owner was kind enough to reply to my previous review I must now clarify a couple of things. First of all my husband did not assault any employee, that is a very serious charge and one that is not taken lightly. For the owner to make that claim in an email response is an outright lie, irresponsible and slanderous. If they have video evidence of an employee being assaulted I would hope that they would have addressed that situation on the spot, not 10 days later when they read the poor reviews of their establishment. Shame on them for making such an outrageous statement and trying to redirecting where the real issue is. Second, I was not upset about how busy the establishment was, my complaint was that the waiter was beyond rude and dismissive. Being busy is not an excuse for a rude server, an acknowledgment from the staff that we were there would have gone a long way. The fact that we asked for a server more than once instead of walking out was a testament to the fact that we really wanted to eat there again. We have experienced Winterfest in Chelan before and expected a wait, since they were also open for the festival last year they should have been prepared for the crowd...they would have to have roaches crawling on the windows and out the door to not have a packed house on that weekend! I am also aware of their "family environment", that's the reason we brought our children. They are making excuses for a rude employee with backhanded apologies and laying the blame on the customer. Someone needs to man up and run this business like a responsible owner. Don't make up lies and threaten customers with false accusations and legal action. read more

My husband and I come to Chelan 3 to 4 times a year. This restaurant was recommended by the office staff at Lake Chelan Shores. Before I go on, let me say the food is excellent! Our first time here in March 2017 was a huge disappointment because of the service! We stood at the front for a few minutes and then "Emily" came by and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We sat close to the bar at a pub table. We sat, and sat and sat. Meanwhile At Least 5 Tables came in and we're greeted, sat and had water while we sat there. Did we tick her off for some reason? Then we watched 2 tables leave without service! I'm stubborn.... and waited and watched. Finally a male server walked by and we stopped and asked if we could order.... again food great. Service terrible. We even had to stop her to ask for our bill and when she brought out the ipad, she stood there impatiently while we figured out how to use it. Awkward! Sooooo we're here in Chelan again... September 2017. Thought we'd try it again because we enjoyed the food! We walked in, greeted by Randall, sat in the same place as before. He went above and beyond with his service. Emily was there again, this time standing behind the bar texting on her cell phone while Randall worked the room. Unfortunately, it was very busy and one table got up and left without service. About 10 minutes after we arrived we see Emily walk out with her Bike. Asked Randall where his coworker went and he replied she had wanted off early. That was a Friday night too 9/8. We will be back again... but if we see Emily? We'll eat elsewhere. Stopped in at 8:25pm tonight (a Wednesday) excited to grab some brews and food. The hostess walked up and asked how we were doing and we let her know our friends had just gotten engaged! She said, "that's great, but the kitchen is closed for the rest of the night." She was very rude and we were very disappointed. It was literally our first stop at any restaurant in town. I've been to Stormy Mountain 4 or 5 times already and it has never disappointed. I've had the tacos on multiple occasions and they are very well done with flavorful meats (several choices including smoked) and fresh veggies. Meals come with an array of their homemade sauces and salsas. All of them creative and tasty, my favorite being a siracha BBQ sauce. My only nitpick is no corn tortillas. On another occasion I had the BBQ sampler plate. It was one of the pricier items at around $20 but a bargain given the large portions of smoked chicken, pork and brisket. All of the meats were moist with a perfect amount of smoked flavor. I would have preferred some heated BBQ sauce on the side but the variety of options made up for it. The corn bread was nothing special, maybe a bit on the dry side. My daughter would probably give this place one star for the 'poor excuse for mac & cheese' on the kids menu but that seemed like an afterthought given it was only a couple bucks. As far as beers, the place lives up to the brewpub monicker. Having tried about half the 8-10 beers they have on tap, there doesn't seem to be a bad one in the bunch. The Clem's Gold is a lighter option and my top choice. The Extra Pale, also on the he light side, was excellent as well. The service was friendly and efficient. All of the waitstaff I've come across have been very friendly, knowledgeable and 'easy on the eyes.' :) The casual, unpretentious, but friendly vibe here is my main reason for being back so often. The design and decor here feels somehow lacking something. It's difficult for me to articulate exactly what it is. Could be lighting that's a tad too light or maybe just the layout. It's kind of an odd mix of beautiful dark stained wood booths with light drywall. There are cool elements/fixtures all around and I like the exposed ceiling but it just doesn't come together quite right. In summary of my long-winded critique, this is my new favorite place downtown. It's not perfect and if it were in Seattle, I'd give it 4-stars. But you have to account for the small town location, the fact that it just recently opened, and perhaps most importantly, all of my experiences were during the slow season when most Chelan establishments operate in the red. These guys are not cutting corners as a result. read more
