We were so disappointed in our visit today to story land. The water park broke down for 1 1!2 hours. The rollercoaster was out of order for several days. One of the attendants told my granddaughter she could. It wear her water goggles in the water park when it reopened. They sell the goggles right there at the gift shop at the water park. We had to speak with three workers until they said itwas ok for her to wear them. At this point she was crying and was done! We went to the animal section and there pens were empty, we thought they were inside due to the heat but the worker we asked said they do not have animals anymore. There was no signage or hating off this section even though there were no animals. To top It off. We got a parking ticket on the car when we came out saying they charge for parking??!! As a child, we frequented NH quite a bit for camping. We'd always visit Santa's Village; but I don't know that I've ever been to Storyland. Honestly, Storyland is very dated. After going to Santa's village with my little one, there didn't seem to be a need to go to Storyland as I felt disappointed. Some rides were closed and the park was just kind of sad. It could definitely use some upgrading. All that said, the water park is a great addition. It was a bit cold while we were there, but the small water park is a fun spot. read more

It was a lot of fun for the adults, as well as three children ages 1, 2 1/2 and 4. I pushed the baby in the stroller and he and I enjoyed the "people watching". The older two had plenty of rides that they loved, and we played games and went to the Peter Pan and Tinker Bell Show. We have been to Storyland so many times in the past and I would've given them a 5 star each time. But Summer 2021 was a horrible disappointment. In the times of limited attendance and social distancing, we weren't surprised to find that we had to book our tickets in advance. What was surprising is that the number of people admitted to the park on a given day was MORE THAN I'VE EVER SEEN ... EVER! Normally, if you have to wait in line for more than 1 or 2 ride cycles, that's a busy day (i.e. 5-10 minutes). We were there for 3 hours and only rode 5 rides -- the worst line was a 45 minute wait (Polar Coaster) -- Roar-o-Saurus was a 30 minute wait. But it wasn't just the 'bigger' rides that had lines. Everything was a solid 30 minute wait. The lines were packed in tightly like an ordinary summer -- no social distancing. Most of the food areas were closed which lead to long lines for the few that remained open. Several rides were closed which put even more pressure on the ones that were open. Stay away from Storlyand in 2021 and perhaps give it a try in 2022. It's a great place and normally a wonderful experience but they clearly decided to maximize revenue at the expense of safety and the enjoyment of their patrons. read more

I took my kid here a few fridays ago. We bought the season pass since it made sense with food vouchers and guest passes if we decided to go a second time. If we didn't, we were only out like $10. We show up, the line just to get your picture for the season pass was out past the kennels and took 45 minutes to get through. Once we got in, the lines were ridiculous (I've been here plenty of times in the past). At least half the food stands were closed, resulting in crazy waits just to eat. I can't describe how disappointed I was at this experience. It was supposed to be a fun weekend getaway to go camping and the park with my 5 year old and the lack of staff in the park ruined a good part of the trip. While I was standing in line for food, I was seriously contemplating calling my credit card company to file a chargeback on the season pass, since this isn't what I paid for. read more

The folks that own Lake Compounce bought this and if you have been there you know what Storyland has become - a soulless void of a space made only for taking money. No one is smiling at this place - workers or customers. It is empty but the lines are long. After 3 kids and two decades, I'm done. It's Santa's Village and Disney for the 5 year old. REPLY TO OWNER. I don't think I'll fill out your form. The tone of the owner reply should tell you everything you need to know. I would also add I was there summer of 2022 as well when the food lines were crazy and management was standing around gabbing. I walked over and suggested they help the staff (and ultimately the customers that all have small kids) and got blank stares. These people bought a balance sheet -- that's all. Very upset, I tried to purchase tickets online, said error message, so ok but looked at my bank charges are pending That was Sep13,2023 I sent them a email not understanding why, They said the charges should fall off 2-3 business days, Ok to go back online purchase tickets, Ok I go on decided to use a credit card, says error message, I email They say no problem on there end, and I received a text from my credit card asking to approve purchase, Yes, ok still no tickets emailed, So I email again, They tell me to close app go back in purchase should be fine. After 1 bank charge and 3 bank charges I'm out of $263.94 and being told refund in 2-3 days , no tickets no refund today is Monday Set 18, 2023 I get a email asking to put purchases through, are you kidding me NO, Not sure why they can charge you that day in a process for a week with no tickets they're holding up money in both of my accounts and show no accountability and then think that I'm going to purchase tickets. Just came back from a weeks vacation in Glen NH and our first visit to Storyland with our 2/12 year old little girl. Hats off to Storyland for an amazing experience! From a special tea time with Cinderella, to a character dinner after the park closed to the amazing rides and just overall theme of the park I couldn't have asked for more. We spent 2 full days here and she was asking for more! The grounds are very clean, the staff was wonderful! I would not hesitate to come here with your child as they will immersed in the magic and never want to leave. The staffing for the food places were a little sparse and the only time we had to wait much at all. We will be back for years to come! read more

I know that many businesses are having a hard time staffing due to COVID and unemployment benefits. Many rides and food areas were closed for different periods of time resulting in long waits and limited food choices. Entrance prices were pretty steep for what you received. Food prices were crazy high with limited options. The park was very short staffed for a Monday during the summer. This was one of my favorite spots to take my grandchildren ... hopefully, Story Land will return to five stars! read more

We have visited the park at least a half dozen times before and always enjoyed it. This year, I was shocked to discover that they were selling blackface makeup in the gift shop (Yum Yum Station--the one you need to walk through before leaving the park). It is racist, inappropriate, and offensive to see this being sold, period, but especially at a children's theme park. The color is "African Brown" and the company is "Disguise Stix"--I've included photos. They should make a public statement in response and work to rectify the damage that this has certainly caused. Beyond that (and really, do I need to say anything else?), half the rides were closed, the lines were long, the park was in terrible shape, and the food was mediocre. First visit and I'm so in love! Went at the end of the season (August) and there were no crowds! So great for the toddler age and making fun memories. We went after 3 and got our free tickets for the following day. Did the water rides first day so we weren't walking around soaking wet for the day. Came back second day and did everything else! Love the Egyptian water ride where you can squirt people while on the ride and as a bystander, so much fun! Beware you will get completely soaked! Staff was mixed bag of enthusiasm...the characters waking around and in the show were really great and interactive with the kids as was the pirate ride and the swan ride. The mining walk thru was kinda hilarious and reminded me of 'marble columns' from SNL. A lot of the rides had photos that you could purchase, I wish there was a discount for buying them for multiple rides as they were kind of expensive. Super clean and well maintained. So my 7 year old had fun and that is the sole reason I'm giving 3 stars and not 1. This was also her 1st theme park experience. So to start we had to buy tickets ahead of time because they are limiting capacity (so they say). Not a big deal but the place was super packed on a Monday. Both parking lots were overflowing so I seriously doubt they were limiting anything. Because it was so crowded the lines for the rides were all at least 20 mins, most of them much longer. There is a line for anything, rides, food, drinks, bathroom, you had to wait in line for any of it. To give you an idea, we were there from 9:45-4:45 and rode a total of 4 rides not including the train. Rides would probably move faster but only one operator at each ride handling the loading and unloading and working at a snails pace. I can't blame them, I'm sure it's hard to maintain any amount of stamina for the whole day. Each ride has a shaded area to wait but the lines extended far past these areas so most of the day is spent standing in the hot sun. There were lots of things that were not open, and I can understand there is probably a staffing shortage, but we paid full price and lots of rides and attractions were not open. They have a QR code to scan to get park info on your phone, but the server obviously can't handle all the traffic because I could not get it to load all day, even though I had plenty of signal. So your stuck trying to decipher the little cartoon map all day, only to find a destination and find them closed. I think the most outrageous thing was the price of the poor quality food. It was higher then you'd pay at a ball park and was less the fast food quality. I included a pic of our lunch which was close to 40 dollars. Be sure to pack a lunch to avoid being ripped off. This, the second of a two year streak of bringing a toddler (and this year, an infant) to Storyland on the last open weekend of the season... The cast, the rides, the atmosphere... they definitely showed they were ready to close. And I don't blame them! The park is intense and engaging for, well, little kids, but many of the rides petered out - the pirate ship had a lot of ad-libbing that made the whole boat a bit awkward, and Blackbeard didn't do whatever thing he was supposed to do! Our guide blamed a squirrel chewing through a wire. Weird. Character parade and dance had the late teen and twenty-somethings laughing and joking with each other more than engaging the squids, which felt a bit cheap and unnecessary. The park itself is fun, and maybe it'd be a different feel if we didn't make it a habit to go on the last weekend (happenstance, I tell you!), but I'd argue every day it's open should look and feel the same. So we bundled this trip into a camping trip, rather than driving about 3 hours from home, it was just 1.5 from Laconia with a 2.5 year old. I had purchased the 7 day in advance tickets at a discount and also checked the website to see if there were updates on any particular rides (some wooden dinosaur themed coaster was closed but we would not have gone on that anyway). Pros: - ample parking (there's even a tunnel to cross the busy road if you park across) - although would have loved to know how to get preferred parking right up front - dog kennel onsite - we didn't take advantage as our pups were with a sitter back home but good to know! - bathrooms easily accessible - they were anywhere you needed them, although I saw some clogged situations they seemed okay for a park with a ton of kids - calming rooms and baby/mother's rooms all over - good to know for folks who need them - Dunkin' Donuts right at the entrance - we grabbed coffees on the way out - stroller rental if needed - also, can measure a kid who is at a questionable height for rides - decent rides aimed at younger children (I'll get into the rides later) Cons: - interesting enough for little ones but truly super dated - just trying "Its A Small World" rose at Disney but throughout the entire park - wait times - okay maybe we went the wrong day/week but there were cases in which we waiting close to 30 minutes. Nothing was worth that wait - staff - some seemed okay but most were young foreigners who were just going through the motions. The young man on the buccaneer pirate ship was making very stale jokes and also talked about previous passengers in a sort of a making fun way. - gift shops - think dollar tree merchandise but not dollar tree prices - phone service - okay so one doesn't really need their phone but if you do, service (AT&T) sucks out here. - camps visiting - this made it to the con list as we noticed some of these kids from camps had no chaperones and while in lines some were being little you-know-whats - geese - so of course there are always parents that let their kids do whatever and some had chased in this poor goose into a sheltered outdoor spot where folks were taking a quick brake, and the goose was looking for food and being taunted by kids whose parents of course did absolutely nothing, then said goose took a nice big poo right there so I'm sure someone walked/strolled though it at some point in time Rides/attractions: - the pumpkin ride to Cinderella castle - okay so we waited way too long for the stupidest ride. This literally is a giant pumpkin with plastic horses and a teenage "driver" that picks you up and it's a two minute ride up to the castle - that you can walk to... this was the first ride we came across and stood in line for but had we known it wasn't really a ride but rather just a short pumpkin taxi we wouldn't have waited. And some people added to that wait by asking for photos in the pumpkin - staff should have said no. Don't waste your time if there's a line, just walk to the darn castle. - Cinderella castle - they don't let you take a photo on your phone you have to buy a photo. Cinderella at least seemed happy and the prices are typical prices you pay for these kinds of things. We got the ornament and digital photo, you have to do a weird scan and download thing for the digital photo with your receipt that's good for a certain time frame so I couldn't do it until after leaving the park as my service was bad. - general mother goose/story book land- my 2.5 year old liked some stuff but creeped out by others (I'm talking to you, Humpty Dumpty). They had farm animals too which was neat. - buccaneer pirate ship - soooo stupid and long wait. It was literally like a very underwhelming attempt at pirates of the Caribbean sort of theme. - polar coaster - barely a line (10 minutes at most) and super fun! My daughter was a little scared at the end with the abrupt stop but seemed to enjoy it. Would have loved a photo on this ride. - air balloon Ferris wheel - this was fun, not a long wait and goes around a number of times. - water raft ride - this was a decent wait time but I think it was worth it. Fun times and you do get wet! - splash pad - my kid LOVED the splash pad outside of the raft ride. It was the kind where random holes shoot water. - Daniel Tiger show - eh, we stayed for about 5 minutes. My kid likes Daniel Tiger, just wasn't exciting - tractor ride - this was great despite it being our last ride due to by toddler needing a nap, it lets the kid "drive" in the front seat and parents sit in the back. We will definitely be back here not entirely sure when but it's perfect for toddlers. I think we will wait until she's a little older for Santa's Village so we can utilize that park well. Visit Date: May 27, 2018 Came here with hubby and son before leaving NH when we came with my family on a memorial day weekend trip. My son and I were a little tired so we were a little cranky but overall this park is pretty impressive. It's part zoo, part amusement park and there's lots to see. They have a bunch of animals representing various nursery rhymes and stories, a decent ride selection and best of a all a live Daniel Tiger show. Daniel Tiger is one of my son's loves right now. We ducked into a gift shop, of course everything was overpriced. My husband bought a $3 soda, we managed to convince the kid to get an $18 Katerina instead of a $54 bed time daniel tiger. We also got our son a $4 lollipop. The Daniel Tiger show was so much fun. He loved seeing Daniel Tiger live and since I kind of know all the Daniel Tiger songs I'm not going to lie this soon to be 36 year old was also very excited. I'd come back here again if we went back to New Hampshire. read more

Storyland is a New England legend for good reason. It's a destination point for the under 10 (and parents crowd). There is plenty of parking and the staff is exceptionally polite and well trained. Storyland is utterly devoid of any trace of a rip off. They take your family fun seriously and have reverse engineered one of my favorite amusement parks. While the under $35 per person entry fee well worth it, consider the $64 season pass. For one thing the park is a little too big to do in one day. This is because of the number of rides and things to do and also, because it's a chill spot. It really is worth it to relax, take your time, enjoy and double up on what you enjoy. Upon entering the park your options are go right - which leads you into a sort of leisurely fairy tale land that's a lot of fun for younger kids. Climbing, running, banging swinging etc. Little houses, Mother Gooses Shoe house, a little school house, a giant fun tree and slide, a giant pumpkin house animals and more. Mother Goose is always on hand somewhere - and then the rides begin as you enter a new land that includes a pumkinmobile that takes you to Cinderella's Castle. There are the gentle Swanboats that even a 4-5 year old can drive, the giant Swan boat that takes you to a land where the kids have to rescue magic and Prince Charming, a pirate ride, a carousel, a crazy mine, an ice rollercoaster a jungle tour, and a wet Egyptian ride. This can be reached by going straight past Dunkin Donuts (this is New England) when you first enter. Just go by Cinderella's tea party house (the tea party is a bargain at $9.99 per child with adults free) the Swiss mini church and hut, and the ginormous Swiss clock tilt a whirl. If you keep going straight you enter another action land if you can keep the kids out of the nutty professors lab and fun house -you will not be able to - it's a magnet for kids and a great place to hide if it ever rains or you need a cool place to take a break. In the back area are more aggressive rides like roller coasters, shows and more. To the left is the panda water roller coaster, the wild raft, and the antique cars the kids drive (beware of a line) and more. I've hit some of the highlights in the park but have not even touched the area outside! Go have some fun!! The rides are fun and varied and safe. The park is divided up into multiple parks areas. All are interesting and all are a walk away. read more

This is the lesser of the two child friendly amusement parks in the White Mountains. Santa's Village bests this park every day of the week and twice on Sundays. In the end, Story Land doesn't have that big a budget it seems, and it shows in some of its appearances. Story Land has one decent ride - Pharaoh's Reign. Other than that, nothing to write home about. Half the attractions are staffed with teenage ride operators/employees with Russian accents, all trying to sound funny or relevant to visitors , but really making bad jokes that hit a thud with patrons - or providing some dull scripted rote commentary about the ride you're on. To be honest: They sound like they would rather be elsewhere. The operator of the larger of the two Swan rides even quickly pulled away from the dock before we could board in a ride that had maybe 4 patrons; yeah right, like the ride was *that* crowded that she couldn't wait 30 more seconds?! Are you kidding? The Safari ride has some guy pulling you with a lawn tractor on a five minute ride past inanimate deteriorating "wildlife" and the highlight features a bridge that "might" give out...but is just a laughable hydraulic production that lowers you about two inches. It's so bad you could almost do the ride twice to get the laughs out of your system. There's one ride that you get inside a large pumpkin for a ride to see Cinderella at her castle; the ride features two replica horses (so tacky) pulling you and the ride operator drives so fast, you'd think he's headed to the closest off track betting parlor to place one last exacta. I only wish I had a seat belt so I wouldn't exit the ride with a case of CTE. After every ride, it seemed there was always someone wanting to offer you "2 for $20" deal at a kiosk booth for keychains and photos that were taken of you during your ride. Ahhh...No thanks. Head to Santa's Village instead. It's worth the trip. read more

Absolute disappointment. No transparency from anyone at Storyland of it's current state. No offer of refunds either. Many rides were closed, all shows canceled, a water pressure issue, lack of employees and many food stands closed. They sold out their allowed capacity tickets so it was packed. So the very few rides that were open you stood in line for up to an hour in the 98° heat. No misting tents. Both splash pads were not working. Cinderella remained 10 feet away and masked. Finding refills for the $20 souvenir cup was difficult. Bottled water sold for $4. Bathrooms were unkempt. No character meets. Very disappointed. Enjoyed: polar coaster, bamboo chute, dutch shoe, carousel, the tractor ride, ride with cinderella to her castle, tea with Cinderella, train ride, swan boat, big boat. Our 4 year old didn't make the cut off to the dinosaur ride. Good bathroom and diaper changing facilities too! Character dinner was good to check out, but as others have written food is not that awesome. The rice pilaf was the best dish. Husband wanted to go out to eat again afterwards. read more

Storyland continues to please but on one of the best days of the summer (August 1), the crowds were sparse compared with the past. Attendance down, prices up? Correlation? I spent $500 for a family of 10 (2 seniors and 8 regular) + lunch and photos. It seems to be about 20% more than past years. The benefit was that the lines were short and the fun was abundant. It's still a great entertainment, but maybe some people are shut out by pricing. read more

I was excited to go as I haven't been in over 15 years. Now that I have grandchildren, it's a new experience. A lot has changed in the interim; I'm not convinced it's all an improvement. Many new rides, The concession stands used to be reasonable - not any more - and what's with the tip prompts. A 25% tip for filling a slushie. This task seemed beyond the scope of the zoned out staff. You earn tips - they're not a given. My nostalgic frame of mind helped to overlook some inadequacies. Did miss Farmyard Follies. Probably will wind up back before anothers 15 years, but not in any rush. read more

Storyland, used to be a much better place to bring your children and grandchildren but it has been going downhill every year. We have been there the last few years and it is not like it used to be. It is for sure understaffed, which I realize that it is like that all over but to be bringing your children to a place where the bathrooms were unsanitary and many of the bathrooms didn't even have soap in their dispensers to wash up with. I would not be buying any food at this place. A couple of children in our group ended up getting sick. Quite a few of the rides and or attractions were closed, maybe due to no staff ? Also, you have to pay with credit cards for everything ( No Cash ) but this is the second year in a row we had problems with fraud alerts on our cards because we had to use cards here ? I spent $150 on 3 tickets (give or take a few dollars). Within a short amount of time they closed due to inclement weather. I was not offered a rain check after the park closed (which is obscurely located on page two of the FAQ) and will not honor rain tickets if you leave without getting a physical rain check. the CSR was so rude and unaccommodating he said "too bad" when I asked if he would help me in good faith as this is a lot of money and the site does a indicate it needs to be a physical rain check. I have proof of purchase, waited for hours in the freezing cold only to have their staff treat me like garbage. I have documented their policies and will try to find recourse as their CSR refused a supervisor to try to remedy this. 150 for sitting in the rain for hours with two six year olds. Loved visiting Storyland with my boys ages 2 and 5. They are the perfect ages for a fun filled day. There was lots of activities, rides, and shows. I also think think there was plenty of shaded spots to cool off for a minute which is important with kids. The food is a little lacking. I just got back from taking my family up to North Conway last week. The game plan was to hit up Story Land one day and Santa's Village the next. Before arriving, anyone I talked to about our vacation kept telling me that Santa's Village was where it was at and Story Land was just okay. After visiting both in the same week I can honestly say that I feel the exact opposite. To me, Story Land was where it was at and SV was just okay. Here's a few reasons why: 1) My daughter will be 4 next month. I found that for a child her age this place was perfect. It's got all of the characters from books that we read to her at bedtime, so it's already familiar in that way. More importantly though, the rides were more her speed. They weren't for big kids. Even the Ferris wheel is a smaller version that doesn't go so high that my child is scared out of her mind. 2) The park has a great "flow" to it. It's almost as if the park is one big path to follow where you can't miss anything. There aren't a lot of trees around and it feels wide open. At SV it was very woodsy and there seemed to be a bunch of off shoots that you could miss without using the map. We didn't even remember it had a log flume ride until we saw it as we were leaving. You can't miss it at Story Land though. Everything is easy to get to and enjoy. 3) There seemed to be more rides compared to SV. I may be wrong, but everyone we went with all agreed that it seemed like Story Land had more rides to go on and that SV seemed like it was gift shop after gift shop. 4) The variety was nice. They have 3 rides that involve getting wet, a few different roller coasters, and a few boat rides to go on but there were also places to meet characters and walk through houses out of children's books. It felt very well rounded. 5) The "ball room" (I don't know what else to call it). There's a giant dome there with tons of foam balls in it. There are two levels to the dome. On the top level are guns to shoot the balls at people below. On the bottom level are a bunch of cool pipes with vacuum suction that you can put balls in and watch them fly out. It's a super fun room that you can spend a good amount of time in. 6) The location. Most people stay in North Conway when they go up to the White Mountains. This place is right next to it. In fact, you could tell me it was in North Conway and I would have believed you, that's how close it is. SV is an hour away from NC. 7) Wonderful cell phone service. This seems like a weird thing to bring up, but all of our cells had great reception here, which makes it easy to meet back up if people get lost. At SV the only place anyone got a reception was near the water park. The rest of the park was a dead zone. As a result, we were transported back to 1982, where we needed to agree on places to meet if we got lost. Total bummer. No issues at Story Land though. 8) Short, quick moving lines. In and out of rides. It was great. A big difference compared to the long lines we stood in at SV the next day. We were at SV for like 3 hours and it felt like we barely did anything because of some of the lines we waited in. With the quick lines at Story Land, we felt like we were able to experience everything and really enjoy the day. So there you have it. My opinion is that if you have a child between the ages of 3-7 that isn't confident in swimming then Story Land will be the favorite. If you have a child that's a little bit older and loves to get wet then SV may be more their speed since the rides are for kids slightly bigger and they have a full water park (something my kid couldn't do much in other than splash in the tiny sprinklers off to the side). Either way, you should check out both and decide for yourself. For us... It's Story Land all the way. We can't wait to go back next year. UPDATE ON 8/24/17: We just went back two weeks ago. This time, we had a brand new 4 month old baby sister with us. Still loved it. Still beats Santa's Village. read more

Covid welcome here!! You might just leave with a little more than you brought with you Packed. Clearly this park has not attempted to scale back on visitor capacity. Full,fuller,fullest. Clearly this park does not seem to realize Delta is much more than a geographical term. All parking lots filled to brim. Very unsafe feeling as soon as you start your visit. No distancing in wait lines at all! Just packed in and crowded. No mask wearing in spite of large signage requiring them. We have been coming here almost every summer for four generations and we're so disappointed. And angry. This was our last. Couldn't get out if there quick enough. Pass on this park this year. Please! It's very unsafe. No guidelines are being followed. Do NOT visit. The Glen Board of Health however should visit. Immediately!! What a waste of hard earned money during another difficult summer. They could have tried. Please keep your famijy safe. We left and know we will be concerned for next week because if that short visit. read more

Storyland has 20 rides of those maybe 7 are for older kids ages 12-14. This past weekend 2 of the 7 closed. The bathrooms when leaving and entering park were closed for renovations. Forget about coffee dunkins closed. Food stands closed or had no food by 2 pm. Also get ready to pay $4 for a bottle of water and $9 for fried dough. read more

Awesome park! We had a crew of 16, and had a blast. Kiddies under 9 loved all of the park. 10-15yr olds had plenty of fun too...there's a flume, raft ride, and 2 roller coasters they loved. We went on a Sunday and there were almost no lines!!! There's a free dog kennel set up, and plenty of spaces (26?). This place is an absolute stop while in the White's. Great job Story Land as the talk with the group is that the Dino roller coaster is the best in the Whites...even better than the reindeer one at another popular stop...according to the kids!!! read more

I never went to Story land as a kid, but better late then never is always my motto. We got there when it opened at 9:30 and the place was already packed. I suggest ordering your tickets online because there is a separate line if you already have your pass. The general admission line was so long but with my prepaid pass I didn't have to wait, walked right through. Entering the park was overwhelming, there was so much going on that you knew it was going to be good. I started off on the cute train ride around the park, it gives you a little game plan on what to do by seeing it that way. I thought the rides were going to be really small and kid oriented but there were just as many adults riding them as the kids. I loved everything. The turtle twirl ride was my favorite I did it twice, those were no joke. I loved the tea cups, the polar coaster and the balloons. What I REALLY didn't expect though was the Roar-a-Saurus. That roller coaster was no "kids ride". I thought it was just going to be a little roll down the track but it was SO fast and pretty steep!!! I was screaming the whole time and when they snapped the pic you could see how scared I was haha. Definitely will not let you down if you like a thrill. Only $12 to buy the picture at the end (and it comes in a super cute frame) a great price for priceless memories. The prices in the park weren't too bad either. I didn't eat while I was there but I got a few fountain drinks along the way they were under $3. There's so many gift shops around the park that you will want to bring a decent amount of money because there is SO much variety. The park is really clean and the workers are friendly as can be. Best of all this place operates smooth and the lines for rides are not long at all. Overall I can't say enough good things about Story Land. I don't have kids and I still went just to enjoy myself and take a break from everyday life. People of all ages can come together to have a little fun and make some great memories. I definitely plan on coming back again and again :-D read more

Kids between the ages of 1-10? Bring them to story land instead of the regional amusement parks. All the rides allow adults to accommodate the child. This cannot be said for other parks. This place has everything rolled into one park for children and parents. There's story book themed attractions like cinderella's castle. Old woman and the shoe. Three little bears house, etc... Amusement rides like alice in wonderland tea cups and the wooden shoe rides. Water park rides like the Bamboo water chutes, to the new Egypt themed and interactive Splash battle ride where people in the boat and people watching the rides can spray water cannons at each other. A mini themed zoo where there are three little pigs and ba ba black sheeps. Not enough variety? Well, they even have a circus to boot with a few family acrobatic and animal acts. Price is decent, and food is the normal children's fare. Nothing fancy. There's face painting, storyland DMV for drivers license to round out the experience. Make sure you take advantage of the admission special... After 3pm you can enter the park with the purchase of a full day's ticket and you can re-enter the park bright and early the next day as well. Young kids normally can't handle a full days of play well, so allowing you to split 2 days with one ticket is great. Plus it gives the parents some shopping time in the conway area. read more

We were looking for a place to spend time with our little niece, so we decided to take a trip to Story Land for the weekend. It has been a little while since this trip, but after finding some pictures from the weekend I knew that I needed to write a review for this park. This little amusement park located in Glen NH was a fun weekend getaway for us. The park is a little warn down which is typical of a lot of the parks in NH, but it is maintained well enough that our time here was great. A few of our favorite parts of the park were their teacup ride, their mini roller-coaster as well as their pirates ride. The staff here was very interactive and polite, but some of the characters were a bit off. That being said, we loved this park and we would definitely come back in the future after visiting some of the other parks in the area. read more

My 6 year old son and I make the 2 hour drive 3-4 times a year. We love Storyland. We love the playgrounds, splash pads, rides (mixes for all ages and levels of bravery), and shows. I find the food prices to be much lower than other amusement parks. We get our season passes on Black Friday so we definitely get our money's worth! Can't wait to return again in August! read more
