Beautiful restaurant! We came here for dinner and during their Sunday happy hour. Cocktails were amazing and very unique. Their rib eye was phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Very well priced in comparison to other restaurants these days. Buffalo wings from the apps were flavorful, and the shrimp app was delicious too (but it was spicy that was noted on the main menu, not the Happy Hour Menu). Drinks were my favorite overall and I'd definitely come back. Love love love the decor here and there was enough TV's surrounding the restaurant to keep my little ones occupied haha! What a cute place for brunch and tea! My coworker and I went this afternoon and it was happy hour. They had an extensive menu of drinks and happy hour food. Unfortunately we had to get back because of work, but we will definitely come back for drinks some time! We didn't have a reservation but didn't need one. We were seated right away. My coworker had a caramel latte and I had a regular latte since the machine wasn't foaming. The waitress was very polite and we then ordered brunch food: my coworker got a classic Eggs Benedict and I got the Chile Verde Chilaquiles. Mine was delicious and my coworker really liked her eggs benedict too! My plate was huge and piled full of chips and pork and green salsa with over easy eggs and cheese on top. The eggs were cooked perfectly and went really well with the pork. We left feeling satisfied and wanting more. The tearoom looked like so much fun and whimsicial with the Alice in Wonderland vibe and women wearing hats! We definitely need to go back for tea. read more

We were greeted immediately by the hostess and sat without delay. Our waiter was friendly but a tad slow. We had to ask a couple of times for missing items, but he was quick to remedy it. My 16-year old daughter made the plans to take me to the Mad Hatter Tea for my birthday. A special mom and daughter date where she was treating me. The experience was awful. We had to get up and complain four different times. It was not crowded. There was no excuse to wait 35 minutes to be acknowledged, and only after we complained. There was no excuse for having to wait another one hour and five minutes for our food - tea sandwiches, pastries, and fruit. There was no excuse for telling me that a glass of champagne was $7 when the menu clearly stated it was included with the tea package. It wasn't the cost, it was the principal and how it was yelled across the aisle when I asked if I could have a glass after seeing other guests receiving theirs. Let me add, we frequent the Anaheim Hills location. It was only after this horrible experience that I learned they also started offering the Mad Hatter Tea as well. I so wish that I would have known. We would have saved ourselves a drive, a horrible experience, and my daughter would have been able to spend her money and felt the day was special. Shame on you, Story Whittier. read more

Had a nice dinner on Valentine's Day. Appetizers were awesome as we ordered the shrimp and seared ahi tuna. It's all about the sauce. The main entrees were ok... I ordered the ribeye with mash potatoes and vegetables. I asked what kind of seasonal vegetables and she never got back to me. I don't like steamed vegetables, especially carrots and green beans. For a ribeye my steak was bland... it was a good size but lacked flavor. All in all I like Story and how they reinvented the restaurant. The shareables are always great. We had date night last night and usually head to Uptown for dinner. We live near Story, noticed it was new, and decided to give it a try. Wow, great decision. The ambiance is lovely. Classy, chic, and romantic. It was decorated for the holidays and felt like stepping into another city. The restaurant is large, yet still feels intimate, which impressed me. The service was excellent. Our server, Lisa, brought our drinks right away. I ordered a Mumm's Rose and my husband ordered a version of an old fashioned, the Dillinger. Lisa returned quickly to let me know they were out of Mumm's and had substituted Veuve. Yes, Veuve. She even made sure any second glass would be honored at the Mumm's price. My husband, who grew up in Kentucky and takes bourbon seriously, said his cocktail was outstanding. He ordered a second. For dinner we shared the tuna tataki, my favorite. I wanted a second plate. The pork belly lettuce wraps were fresh with great flavor. The bourbon sliders were pure comfort. Yum all around. I am thrilled to have such a great spot so close to home. It's a Very interesting restaurant with a very interesting theme. We got reservations for brunch which is mostly breakfast items. There were a couple things we asked for but they were out of some of the items (biscuits and gravy,they were out of gravy must be really good hope to find out). There was ten of us. A couple of the plates we got were eggs Benedict, I got the chili Verde and eggs, strawberry pancakes, chicken and waffles, regular stack pancakes and eggs, short ribs chilaquiles with eggs. There were no complaints and every plate was empty. Can't remember the waiters name, but he was really patient and professional really made the first time here worth thinking about coming back. This area has a lot of restaurants that are just to much of the same everyday choices. It's nice to have something that brings something different to the table along with interesting scenery.
