I finally checked out Poached Kitchen, and it definitely lived up to the hype! While they don't serve alcohol, you honestly won't miss it because their freshly made juices, handcrafted lattes, and coffee are absolutely fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and family-friendly, making it an awesome spot for brunch with friends, family, or even larger groups. The staff creates a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. As for the food--delicious across the board! But if you're going, do yourself a favor and order the avocado toast. It was fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. If you're looking for a fun brunch destination with amazing coffee, fresh juices, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Poached Kitchen is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be back!

Stopped here for breakfast -- they have been open at this location, and the line is usually out the door. Walked in today and there was no line (surprise). You order your food and then find a table ... ordered the egg scramble with chicken sausage and the lemon ricotta pancakes -- both were really delicious. There is parking lot on the property, cute open and airy setting, and staff were very friendly -- will definitely be back!

This morning we had breakfast at Poached Kitchen -- and it's quickly become a regular for us. We used to go to their Downey location, but now that they've opened one in Whittier (only 10 minutes away ), it's our go-to. First off, the space is beautiful -- tons of natural light, great music, and an upbeat, welcoming vibe that's perfect for a breakfast spot. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and super helpful. Now, the food. I ordered the breakfast burrito -- it's ginormous and packed with potatoes, sausage, chorizo, cheese, and eggs. Super flavorful and honestly one of those meals where you just want to keep eating even when you're full. We also shared the blueberry ricotta pancake for the table and it was stellar. The blueberry compote wasn't overly sweet, and the ricotta balanced everything out perfectly. To drink, I tried the dulce de leche latte (I usually go for the vanilla), and it was so good -- definitely adding it into the rotation. My friend had the eggs Benedict and was raving about it too. Overall, this is such a solid breakfast spot -- great food, great service, great vibe. Definitely a regular for me.

Excellent experience - can't believe how fast the food came out and how good it was! Dulce de leche latte was a tasty as the foam was beautiful. Churro waffle was yummy, and the Brunch Burrito was awesome with the short rib and green tomatillo salsa. Servers were all very nice and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Went for brunch with my grandparents and ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which were absolutely delicious and came with generous portions. Even during the busy rush hour, the staff was incredibly kind and seated us quickly so my grandparents didn't have to stand for very long while waiting. We were still able to find a comfortable seat, and our food came out surprisingly fast. The atmosphere was welcoming and made for a wonderful dining experience with my grandparents. Whether you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch with family or just want a delicious meal, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Great food, friendly service, and an all-around enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back!

This is an order at the counter and go sit style establishment. They will bring the food out to you. It is a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. I tried the birria Benedict and it was a large portion, great flavor, and a hint of spice. My husband tried the salmon Benedict and really enjoyed it. My favorite was the seasonal waffle. It was amazing. Perfectly sweet, and had a great texture balance. I would go back to that alone. Service here was also great. Food did not take long, and we were checked on a couple of times.

Poached has such a cute and refreshing brunch vibe -- clean, new, and bright. We arrived right around opening, and I loved the casual ordering style: order at the register like a café, grab a number, and choose your own table. We tried the classic breakfast plate with bacon, potatoes, and scrambled eggs, along with their seasonal Pumpkin & Pear Cream French Toast. The breakfast plate was large, filling, and nicely presented. The French toast was delicious and the pear was perfectly juicy, but there was a slight aftertaste from a sprinkle of seasoning (maybe nutmeg or cloves) that I personally wasn't a fan of. Service was also fast and friendly. Even though it's a more casual setup, they checked in on us regularly to make sure we were doing okay, which I appreciated. I also ordered a green tea matcha latte -- 10/10. So good. It is on the pricier side for brunch, but honestly that seems to be the norm these days. I'd definitely come back, just maybe not super often. Overall, a great spot for a cute brunch outing!

Amazing morning family date. We enjoyed our visit but there were a long wait. When we finally got in we order at the cashier first and then they give us a table number to sit on. We found ours and enjoyed a fresh cup of cool water. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking space as long as there's movement happening otherwise, there's no parking haha. We did go in a Sunday Morning so that would explain a lot. We liked our visit and we enjoyed the time. Overall was good.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious--every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance was warm, cozy, and inviting, with tasteful décor and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent meal and a wonderful dining experience.Definitely will come back

Black beans, chilaquiles with sunny side up eggs. Matcha latte iced!

Food here is always made fresh. The ingredients to my breakfast chilaquiles (green) are all cooked to perfection and more than enough for a perfect serving! Black beans that come with my meal are just the right side to this meal and you can get your eggs made to your choice. Service is frequently offered at table and the ambiance to my choice outside dining is so beautiful and welcoming. I give this breakfast location a HUGE must try! Thank you for always making my breakfast special and inviting. Definitely coming back!

I wanted to love this place but it just wasn't it. I ordered the Birria Benedict, it was not good at all. The meat was almost like it was blended (almost like a sloppy Joe) minimal taste, no seasoning or spiciness, it had some hollandaise sauce, and the muffin was hardly toasted. The hash brown even lacked flavor. Three of the four meals we ordered were cold. It was pretty pricy. As for the service, the order taker in the front was meh, nothing welcoming about her, maybe because we were the first ones there. We will not go back.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. Overall, nice local joint for a peaceful weekend or vacation breakfast. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Will be back sometime.

Their moles are definitely worth trying. We've had the mole negro and the mole pipián, and both were delicious. The mole negro is a little sweeter, while the pipián has more spice. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. They need a little more staffing so the service can be as good as everything else.
