Now in their second week, Strada, the newest Pardini restaurant in Fresno has opened with a bang! I normally give a restaurant a month or so prior to trying and reviewing to allow"bugs" to be worked out. No need to with Strada. After reading the great reviews hfor Heirloom, a close neighbor, we decided to go there for Mother's Day lunch. Looking at the 150 plus people awaiting the opening, we moved down the parking area a bit to Strada. With an about 30 people waiting outside and another 40 or so waiting inside, we decided to go for it. About 35-40 minutes later a very talented looking crew was preparing our Sandwiches. The wait wasn't bad and I spent it learning about this new eatery. A knowledgeable young lady who was passing out menus to the line was very helpful with a friendly personality and seemingly a full understanding of the menus content really helped. The inside was clean, neat and comfortable. Some Italian music would have added a nice touch. I ordered the Spicy Soppressata, a nice sausage with spicy Calabrian pepper spread, Sun dried Tomato spread and Arugula. My wife ordered the Prosciutto Sandwich with fresh mozzarella and tomato, arugula, olive oil and aged balsamic. Both sandwiches were created with care and were absolutely delicious. Speedy prep and checkout. The best sandwich I've eaten in a long time. I thank the extreme line at Heirloom for directing us to Strada. Jimmy, you did it again! We'll be back. There is still about a dozen sandwiches I want to try out.

Love this place! The line was a little long but honestly, it was well worth the hype. We waited about 20mins for our order to get taken (the line was well out the door about to reach the parking lot). The focaccia bread was cooked right in front of you so you know it's super fresh. I really appreciated that they crafted the sandwiches right in front of you and the methodical approach they took to layering the ingredients and wrapping the sandwich to make it look presentable. I got the prosciutto with salami added. It was delicious! The only thing I would change is to add more balsamic but that's my personal preference. I also got the fresh baked cookie. Amazing! It was soft, warm, ooey-gooey chocolate--just delicious. I'd literally go back just for it. The restaurant was well decorated with plenty of seating. It was also very clean, making it an excellent dine-in experience.

Located in the parking lot of Noble credit union and a short distance from their sister restaurant Annesso's, you'll always find a long line outside of Strada. If you are in line outside, it can take anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes to get to the front and complete your order. It's a very similar setup to Butterfish in that the line wraps around and you place your order, making your way to all of the ingredients, including the spreads and proteins. The setup seems to have a lot of room for improvement in efficiency. The few times that we were there, we saw one, sometimes two, individuals cutting bread or at the bread station. There's one person who takes the order, grabs the bread, and puts the spread on. From there, someone in the back slices the protein and a third person puts the sandwich together and passes it down to be wrapped. On our first go round, it took an hour to get in and they messed up my order by giving me someone else's. I already paid for it had to wait about 10 minutes to get my order. We've tried the Mortadella which my husband swears by and will not deviate from. I think it is delicious although the ham is more of a bologna texture. Everything about the mortadella I loved minus the protein so I subbed it out for prosciutto at our next visit. The prosciutto ended up being a bit too salty. Our third visit, I tried the Straciatella. This didn't come with a protein, so I ended up adding the prosciutto again. It was just ok with the prosciutto. The price points for the sandwiches are very fair. I think that once they become more efficient on the line, the reviews will creep up a little bit closer to five stars.

The sandwich was very yummy! Walking into the restaurant felt super clean and just really classy. I enjoyed being able to watch them craft my sandwich together and even watch them take the focaccia bread out, freshly baked, and used for the sandwich. The service was wonderful! Everyone was very nice and friendly! The line was out the door and it wasn't as long as I thought it would take. My only big issue which is honestly why it's a 4/5 was because when they took out the bread from the oven, there was a whole in it. Instead of saving it they threw away right in front of us. It was a perfectly baked loaf with just a small hole in it. I understand not using it because quality control but I also think they didn't need to throw it out, at least not in front of the line. It just felt wasteful.

Solid sandwich place! We got there a couple minutes after opening and it was only about a 15 min wait! Shout out to the workers, they are all doing an amazing job and have a lot of patience! We got the spicy soppressata and the roasted turkey with pesto! The spicy soppressata to me lacked flavor and I couldn't really taste any spice in it. I wouldn't get this again. However, the roasted turkey with pesto was very good, perfect amount of meat to veggie ratio and the bread they make from scratch is very good. The inside is clean, and service is top notch. Glad we have another solid spot to enjoy! Prices are fair! Can't wait to be back!

Got in line around 11 AM (Well not me, but my partner. Bless his soul). Took about 40 mins to get the orders made. There was ample seating inside & outside but took the orders to-go. Ordered the spicy soppressata and prosciutto sandwiches. I liked the spicy soppressata better but both were good. Spicy soppressata had the perfect amount of spice that wasn't overpowering. It had semi-thick slices of parm reg, which really added nuttiness and depth I really liked. This sandwich was warmer than the prosciutto sandwich given the prosciutto sandwich had more cold ingredients (mozzarella, tomato). I am a warm sandwich gal, which is why I probably liked the spicy soppressata more. Lastly, we ordered the Nutella & pistachio sandwich. It's half the size of a normal sandwich (& half the price). Very simple ingredients that uses the same focaccia, Nutella, pistachio nuts, and flaky salt. Simple but delicious! I wanted to be mad that I could make it at home but couldn't since it was just plain good lol. Overall, the place isn't All'Antico Vinaio. I do like the focaccia better at Sam's Italian Deli, but everything here was solid. I'd come again when the hype dies down. They also said they're coming out with mobile ordering soon, so that would help a lot!

My husband and I were excited to try this new Italian sandwich shop next to Annesso and owned by the same owners (Pardini). We went around 4 o'clock on Thursday after their opening and there was a line to get in. It probably took a half hour to get in and get to the ordering point. You order at the counter where you can see them making the bread and all the fresh ingredients to put on the sandwiches. I ordered the Tuscan ham and my husband got a plain turkey and salami sandwich with no spreads or toppings. He was happy with his. He loved the bread, and the meats are fresh and great quality. Unfortunately, my Tuscan ham had way too much spread or maybe the pecorino cream was just too overpowering. It was supposed to have a calabrian spicy spread, but I really couldn't taste the Calabrian Chile. I would not get those spreads in the future but probably just a drizzle of olive oil. The spreads were so overpowering I couldn't taste the freshness of any of the other ingredients. The foccacia bread was more crispy than chewy maybe because they warm it back up with olive oil right before making the sandwich. I would maybe ask that they not warm up the bread either if I go back. There was plenty of seating inside and outside on their patio, and everyone was super friendly. All in all with the fresh ingredients and fresh bread, this place definitely deserves a try from anyone looking for a good sandwich.

Came here for the first time cus my bf wanted to try it.. I also ended up ordered a sandwich for my sis. Pulling up, u can already smell the fresh focaccia bread in the air.. it was tantalizing.. then I thought to myself.. hmm is it that smell or the pizza place next door lmaoo.. idk but when we got inside I smelled fresh bread in the works and it smelled really good! I was excited even tho i didn't come for me. The line was giving butterfish (IYKYK).. line wasn't too bad when we got there. I mean it was long but once we got to the middle it got LONGER!!! Once we go to the front where we could see the bread getting cut, I was like omg it smells so fuckin good. The focaccia looked so fresh and airy.. my anxiety started to kick in as we got closer like omg line is going and going so know wtf u want before getting to ol girl.. my bf wanted the Tuscan salami with truffle spread.. idk what else he did to it but I tasted it and it was delicious!! The truffle spread is wonderful! My sis has me get her the Tuscan salami with artichoke spread and the straciatella which we found out was a veggie sandwich so she asked for mortadella on it.. it was my first time there and the line was moving so quick I didn't wanna hold up the line and my anxiety was going crazy so I was like uhh yeah add this and uhh add that. And she was already putting shit on the sandwhich and then telling me u kno this a veggie sandwich so didn't bother to change it and added the meat she asked.. and asking me after what I want so we just kept it going. So it's kind of an assembly line kind of thing and now that im aware of how it works, u just tell them what u want to add in it as for as spread and toppings.. oil and vinegar is optional. If I was to go back next time, I wanna try the capocollo... it sounds good. Especially with their freshly baked bread cus they bake them fresh daily'!!!

Came grand opening day. Service was very organized and smooth. Beautiful indoor seating area and patio seating with canopy umbrellas. The order: I got the prosciutto sandwich that comes with their homemade focaccia bread. The sandwich is cut into two pieces. First off, the bread is light and airy. Really great texture, not hard. My sandwich comes with fresh arugula and lightly drizzle aged balsamic vinegar. All the toppings pairs so well nicely. My sandwich was not complicated, just delicious. I also got their homemade chocolate chip cookie. This cookie was divine! I love how it is a thin crispy cookie. Very fresh when I got it. I would definitely get the cookie again. Staff were great, one approached me as I was finishing up and gave me a to-go bag when he saw I didn't finish the other half of the sandwich. Overall, wonderful experience. Great to see another Pardini business open up in Fresno. Will be back for more delicious sandwiches.

Fresno's hottest and newest Italian place has taken me back to my trip to Italy with their sandwiches. Expect to wait in line about 10-15 minutes with the line out the door, but the food is well worth and it gives you enough time to decipher through the menu. Even though each sandwich comes with some preset ingredients & spread, you can also add on and swap out ingredients & spreads as you please (a huge plus for those who aren't big fans of arugula, as it is in most of the sandwiches). I absolutely loved the maple bacon garlic confit in their roasted turkey and Brie sandwich. I would highly recommend adding the spicy Calabrian spread or the truffle spread onto whichever sandwich you choose if it doesn't come with it already. These spreads were so flavor packed and really elevated these sandwiches to a whole new level. They just added a couple of wines & beers to their menu as well (not shown in my visit). Highly recommend checking out Strada for the closest thing you can get to authentic Italian sandwiches in Fresno!

Love when Hot & New restaurants begin!! =) 5/08/26 Getting lunch!! Arrived! Very busy! Line going Way outside past the front door. Waited...expected given reading the reviews. Moved at a slow pace. Music playing. This was at 11am. FYI. A kind worker greeted and gave a menu while waiting outside. The line got much longer too!! 10 minutes waiting outside and line moved to go in. Very nice inside. Cool! Safe & clean! Music playing. Wine bottles up on the walls, on shelves. Decides on the Tuscan Ham. Sounded GREAT!! Definitely a lot workers moving with the busy pace. You move in and around where they make it in front of you. Fresh! Fresh bread made and pulled out too!! Theres outside searing also!! 30 minutes and got to ordering. Ordered Tuscan Ham. The worker that took my order was kind. From there, after almost 40 minutes, it moved quick! Moved down, put together, cut in half by another worker, paid for, bagged and go with thanks! Oh my Goodness!! Leaving, the line tripled!! Definitely recommend going early! Otherwise, you'll get to be waiting outside a Very long time...in the heat! Lunchtime!! It's LARGE! 1/2 is enough. Tuscan Ham Sandwich is DELICIOUS! Lots of Flavor and Great bread'! Fresh & Tasty along with everything in it! I have leftovers from the 1/2. You definitely get your moneys worth! Great going to share or have another lunch! It is a process , but workers are kind and definitely have good teamwork! Set up smoothly! Even if it takes a while. Pretty sure that's normal for new restaurants in Fresno. It should calm down soon! Good service & GREAT Tuscan Ham Sandwich! Highly recommended!

I've been saying Fresno needs an Italian street sandwich shop for 20 years. So excited to try Strada!!! It was fantastic. From the start of the fresh made bread to the quality ingredients and combination of flavor profiles for each of the sandwiches it met all my expectations. We did have to wait in line for 45 minutes, but was worth it. They are hustling inside to keep things moving. We ordered the prosciutto sandwich and the straciatella and both were fantastic. It's super casual seating but as the rest of Pardini's restaurants, very nicely done. And to my surprise, not on menu, was a giant chocolate chip cookie which was perfection, chewy middle, crispy edges...yum. Can't wait until the takeout window is open!

The waiter was super attentive and efficient the entire evening. We went for dinner, so the restaurant was definitely dimly lit, which I think is the atmosphere they're going for. Overall, Ovidio's offers consistently delicious food, especially the meatballs and that fantastic pink sauce, making it a great choice if you're craving Italian and don't mind the crowds or slightly higher prices.

This is our 3rd visit to Dicicco's on Shaw Ave Van Ness Avenues…read more Dicicco's is a family owned restaurant. It has a long and wonderful history here in the Fresno area. Each restaurant is owned by a family member of the original Dicicco's which was located on Belmont Ave. I have great memories of the little brick building. It's where I had my first Dicicco's pizza about 50 years ago! Every visit here has been a delicious experience. Each of our servers has not only provided excellent service but they've made our dining experience a fun one. Elena was our server this evening and she was so much fun! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the food! Haha well ... Tonight, my hubby had The Don. The Don is epic! It features Fettuccine Alfredo And Lasagna as part of a 3 main dish combo with your choice of one of their delicious chicken dishes. You have a choice of all the classics: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Panna, and even Chicken Cacciatore. Can you believe that?! Well, he chose the tried and true Chicken Parm. I was surprised because this has never been his favorite dish but is mine. His dinner was absolutely delicious! But how would I know? He loved it so much that he shared a good bite of each with me. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The marinara was light and well... perfect. The Lasagna? You have to come try it. Just like Nonna's. Well, not My nonna because I'm not Italian, but you know what I mean! I decided to try something different and ordered the Old Blue Eyes. This dish features penne pasta with green onions, fresh spinach, and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces gently tossed in a delicious pink sauce. Let's have some saucy conversation here. This Pink Sauce is no ordinary Pink Sauce. It has a depth of flavor that is so good and complex that well, you're just going to have to come and experience it for yourself! It's much more than just a marinara with a touch of Alfredo. This is a unique sauce that stands on its own! You really owe it to yourself to discover a Fresno gem that offers the taste and feel of a delicious family dinner in a bright and cheerful setting. We invite you to come and experience this Dicicco's! Their menu offers a variety of dishes not available at the others. Do you have vegetarian or vegan friends or family? We do and were they ever surprised to have more than one choice. Don't forget... You can add a soup or salad for a modest charge. Along with the salad they offer a choice of homemade Minestrone or Cream of Zucchini. Either are good choices but... If you're a Clam Chowder lover come in on a Friday when you can find it made fresh. Friday is also the only day that they do not serve Cream of Zucchini. If you have the chance to order the Cream of Zucchini do it! My husband is Very picky and if he liked it you're sure to love it! I absolutely enjoyed every delicious spoonful! It was light yet warm and comforting. A soup that is perfect for a chilly night like tonight. It's so good that it's worth going out to dinner just to have a bowl of it with some of their fresh, hot buttered bread. Yum!! (PS:#1 Elena deserves a raise. She was so much fun. If I had a restaurant I'd try to steal her! #2- Do not ever let go of the person who made that Cream of Zucchini soup because it's worthy of the Soup Nazi! If you're old enough, you'll know what I mean!) (Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures)

Also, they wrote merry Christmas in our to-go tiramisus which was thoughtful. The place was well decorated for Christmas. Christmas music was playing in the background and everything about the restaurant felt very family-oriented. It was absolutely charming. I will say, the food was just alright. The tiramisu was pretty good.
