I was so excited when I first heard about this place. I'm a huge fan of All'Antico Vinaio and thought this would be similar. I couldn't have been more wrong. The mortadella quality wasn't there. With each bite I pulled away multiple casing strings in my mouth. I couldn't get thru one half of the sandwich. I switched to the other half and the same thing. Pardini nails it again with this sandwich concept. The ingredients are so fresh and the spreads help build great flavors, but the real star is the freshly baked bread. It is so light, yet so full of flavor. I literally would drive across town just for the bread. I ordered half BLT and half turkey and cheese with artichoke spread. Both were delicious but I liked the simplicity of the BLT more. It really let the bread shine imo. The price point is perfect, too. It's a tremendous value for what you get. The line was long but they have a very efficient system. It didn't take long and well worth the wait. I will def be back. read more

Strada is the latest line of Pardini restaurants (Annex, Annesso, Willow Osteria). Today was the Grand Opening, and there was a line out the door. Fair warning, it took us about 20-30 minutes from the door to the cashier, but they make it as you go along (kind of like Chipotle). They continue to diversify and bring new food concepts to this part of Fresno that sorely needs it. We had the mortadella and coppa sandwiches, and both were stellar. The pistacchio and truffle spreads are very good, and you can add or customize the sandwiches as you wish. We also got a cookie which was also very good and reasonably priced. Parking was a struggle at lunch hour, but it looks like they are building additional parking. Overall, we are very excited and will be back! read more

My wife and I have been to Europe a few times. We always come back raving about the food we find and the tastes we experience. We read this place wanted to capture some of that, so we tried it. I'm so happy we did. I closed my eyes before my first bite and was transported back to Italy. The bread was authentic, the ingredients familiar, and the overall taste spot on. It was a real treat. The line was long, I'll admit, despite us arriving at an in between time. But what do you expect when something new and unique opens up? I was just happy they were well staffed, things moved quickly, and we had no trouble finding a seat to dine in. The menu is small and focused, but with enough variety to allow for most to find a sandwich in their comfort zone. But in the end, it's all about the taste. That won me over. It was just a bonus to find the price was reasonable as well. We'll be back for sure. Hopefully to see if the relatively broad wine offerings make the place even more fun when you have some time to sit and enjoy. read more

Went today about 11. Line was not too long. Restaurant is very clean and orderly. The server at the door handed out menus which was great. The overall menu choices are excellent. I got the Capicola and my sister got the Salami with Truffle spread. Both were outstanding in presentation and flavor. The focaccia bread is made in house and you can watch them both bake and slice the bread. It is absolutely delicious in flavor. Soft and easy to chew and good flavor. I agree with another review here that it would be good for them to label the ingredients in the case so people can see. It would reduce the amount of questions and may make the line move faster. The only other concern i had is the placement of the fountain soda machine. People have to cross the line in order to get to it. It's too bad it can't be relocated either to the south east corner or to the back because people getting napkins, sodas, etc are having to disrupt the line to get past. The staff was great everyone was friendly and answered questions right away. Also the sandwiches are priced right and for hand made sandwiches with superior ingredients this restaurant is spot on. Went to Strada on Mother's Day. It was an exceptional experience. Well organized, great service and crowd management as well as excellent food! I had a turkey and brie sandwich with onion jam. The sandwich is rather large and made from home made oven warm bread, the condiments are five star quality and the owner, Mr Pardini, was in the pass. Even the bus boy was awesome. Everything was perfect. If conditions remain the same I will eat here many, many more times! I couldn't suggest anything to improve this place! ITS AWESOME! Bring your entire family!! read more

Incredible! Be prepared to find a line, but it goes quickly. A smiling clerk greets you at the door and hands you a menu. There is lot of help behind the counter. One person brushes olive oil on freshly baked focaccia bread while another slices. I ordered roasted turkey with brie. Another person sliced the meat while cheese is cut at the next station. Bacon compote is part of the sandwich, giving it an unexpected sweetness. It was delicious. Next time, I plan to order something more savory, like salami with truffle or pesto. Sandwiches were delish and employees were friendly and efficient! I had the Roasted Turkey with Brie and it was super yummy! I would have bought a whole loaf of their bread- it was so good. A whole heck ton of Brie on mine, well worth the price! The jam was delish, but there was a lot that it sometimes overpowered the meat. I added Stracciatella to it, so that calmed down the strength of the onion, and added a bit of freshness. The husband said his salami and artichoke spread was killer. They're so brand new that I am as equally as pleased with my first time, and excited to see what's to come!! I was happy I asked if I could add something custom to my sandwich, as it wasn't too clear when ordering that I could customize! First, I am not going to complain about having to wait in line for 40 minutes. We knew what to expect. We ordered 9 sandwiches for our family. I ordered the prosciutto sandwich and specifically asked for no arugula. I reminded the people making my sandwich that I didn't want arugula. I was assured that they heard me. Well the person making my sandwich piled arugula on my sandwich then put the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the arugula. Then he realized his mistake and removed the arugula along with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So I received a prosciutto sandwich with mozzarella. I'm not sure that the sandwich was worth the wait. The bread did not live up to the hype. The mozzarella and prosciutto were good, not great. I may give the place another try. I really wanted to like this place. We came here on a Friday evening, and the line wasn't too long. We waited for about 15 minutes to be served. They have a pretty diverse menu, and there are a lot of options for any taste bud, along with the robust kids' menu. They also have alcoholic beverages and a nice wine list, so that's also a plus. I got the Tuscan ham sandwich, and my partner got the turkey artichoke spread. Both of us felt as though the sandwiches lacked adequate seasoning, mainly salt. It seemed like there was no additional seasoning put into any of the spreads, the bread, or even the deli meats themselves, which were tasteless, even for a ham, which is really supposed to be salted relatively well. It culminated in a bite that was rather disappointing. The focaccia was fine, but again, it lacked any semblance of seasoning or salt. I think if I come here again, I would request extra salt to be put on my sandwiches. I do urge the owners to reconsider and revisit the seasoning for the individual components to make it come alive a little bit more. read more

This was my second time at Strada's and while waiting in line and looking over the menu I decided to experiment and found a sandwich I hadn't seen before and the additional ingredients were appealing so I ordered it. It's the roasted turkey and salami sandwich with provolone, tomatoes etc. including a spicy relish. When I tried to described the ingredients to my wife and looking at an original menu we had I discovered this is something new that has been added and isn't even shown on their website or Yelp. Best part of the sandwiches is the fresh baked bread, delicious and toasted perfectly with that crunch I love. I got the Tuna (that's how I judge a sandwich place, my standard) and all it had on it was the tuna and their marinated peppers. No condiments or sauce, or toppings which made for a very dry sandwich. Also got the Pesto Turkey, this one wasn't as dry (still no sauce other than a light spread of pesto) but it was so bland! I was hoping for more since this place was so hyped up, but if I'm gonna be spending $14 I'll just go to Deli D. This Sandwich place is good. Decent quality. Focaccia Bread is good. Nothing over gold and nothing below average. Now, if you customize your sandwich with any spread any toppings and meats without adding on 3-5 dollars extra, this place may just be a 4 or 5. Fair price, but long wait time and loud and cramped space. I did try all the sandwiches and my favorite is the Turkey Brie with extra roast tomato, extra sweet peppers and an extra spread of artichoke, but keep in mind this is a 16-17 dollar sandwich by itself and it barely get me full. Keep it up, the restaurant won't be my usual but I do recommend people to try it and support the business and I will eat here once in awhile if I am ever near there. read more

LA also has some delicious Italian sandwich spots, and many of them tend to be much more generous with the amount of meat they include. I visited Strada today and had such a disappointing experience. I have Celiac Disease and asked if I could order a sandwich with no bread. The sweet gal working the door went to ask for me while I stood in line. She approached a lady at the front that seemed to be in charge. When she asked, this lady looked inconvenienced and quickly and abruptly said "no". She said they had no plates and no bowls and I could not be accommodated. Wow!
