The tri-tip sandwich is my go to and it never disappoints, tender, flavorful meat every single time. It's great as is, but I usually add the BBQ sauce on top, which just takes it to another level. The bread is buttery and garlicky, exactly how I like it, and it pairs perfectly with everything. The pulled pork is great too, and the hot link sandwich is another solid choice, full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Yummy! I've always noticed this place but never went to it until recently. The service was EXTREMELY quick! Like as soon as I paid my food was basically ready. The food was nice and hot all the way home! If you do eat there, just know it's outdoor seating with two full-size picnic tables with a tarp over it. The parking lot is right next to the seats though, so honestly wouldn't hurt to just eat in your car if you wanted. The tri-tip was delicious! The meat was very tender and juicy and I appreciated the sauce on the side! The rice pilaf was just okay. It's not like it was the main dish, but served as an excellent side. On Cedar and Herndon avenue is placed this sandwich booth shack that sandwiches are absolutely amazing. The prices are highly reasonable and the food is the best ever. My family and I usually get the tri tip and pulled pork sandwiches. The service is very fast and friendly they take your order right away. The best times to stop there on your lunch time right when they open up at 11am. There is ample parking on site and in the shopping area next door. The some table and chairs for the customers to enjoy their meal on site. The outside setting is good to take in the fresh air. Have heard a lot of good things about here, so I gave it a try, and was I not disappointed. I got one of their regular tri-tip sandwiches and Oh man.... what a trip. The meat is so tender,juicy, and flavorful, with a generous serving for the regular. It is even served on a garlic buttered roll, which just elevates it to an insane flavor symphony enough to make a grown man cry ( myself included). Service was great as well he was pleasant and friendly, and food was prepared promptly with little to no wait time. This place is entirely outside so I don't recommend eating here if it's insanely hot like I did as there's no fans or even a lot of seating but there's at least some port a potties out. I was first introduced to Mike's a couple months ago when my friend had Mikes catered to a birthday party she hosted for her husband. Since then, I think about Mike's almost on an every other day basis. Mikes is in the RN market shopping center, tucked away in a corner of the parking lot. To be honest, I've stopped by RN plenty of times, and have never noticed Mikes. I got the pulled pork sandwich and the husband got the jumbo tritip sandwich, and we got the chili to share. I hate Chili, and after the party, I could not stop thinking about their chili. It needs to be put in a contest. Their sandwiches are delicious. My husband, who is a bbq snob, says they do their meats better than dog house, but is not a fan of having his sandwich on a hamburger bun. The sandwiches are HUGE, they don't skimp on the meat. We both ate half our sandwiches and save the other half for the next meal. The Cole slaw that comes with the pulled pork sandwich is so good. I'm not sure why when the food was catered, I remembered the slaw was almost pickled, somewhat vinegary, which I loved. When I got it yesterday, it didn't taste pickled at all.
