We were involved in a hit-and-run accident on the freeway a few weeks back. The other driver sideswiped us and quickly sped away. Dealing with my insurance company was very challenging since the other vehicle did not stick around and we had to pay for the damages with our own insurance and deductible. Straight Auto Body was recommended to us because they used OEM parts and is a well established (legit) auto body shop with a secured lot. They have staff that knows how to fix your car and work with your insurance company. When my car was first dropped off at their shop, Simon (owner) called me to let me know that my car arrived safely and his staff will take care of it. The following business day, I was assisted by Alex and Juan. They kept in constant communication with me and provided updates on my car repairs. They answered and addressed my concerns promptly. Whenever Alex called, he was always professional and didn't waste your time. He got my insurance company to pay for the repairs quickly. I'm very protective of my car and was eager to get it fixed. Although accidents suck, it was very easy to work with Alex and Juan. They are meticulous on work details and getting the work done properly. There may be other "cheaper" auto body shops out there, but you won't get the same level service than Straight Auto Body - "You get what you pay for..." I am currently modifying a 1985 BMW R80 motorcycle. One of the tasks was getting the rear tail and gas tank custom painted. I contacted a number of auto body shops and custom motorcycle paint shops and they were quoting me incredibly high prices. I knew they were high prices since they were close to what I paid to get my rear bumper and door replaced and painted on my suv. One paint shop told me they gave a super high quote because they just didn't want to do the work. Not kidding. But when I spoke to Alex at Straight Auto Body he not only gave me a reasonable quote he had enthusiasm for the project. Even the owner, another really nice person, said my custom paint job was no problem and was also lookin forward to seeing the finished bike. Once the project was approved they provided paint sample panels and proceeded to paint the parts. They came out great. I will post pictures once the bike is totally complete. Would I return to Straight Auto Body to hire their services again? Yes, next Monday to get some more parts painted. Took 60 days to repair my vehicle; it appears if they don't get paid in advance your car will take for ever

I was recommended to Straight Auto Body when someone reversed into my parked car while I luckily was standing next to it. Considering this should have been the simplest insurance claim; Insurance somehow made this the most mentally abusive and effed up claim I have ever experienced and I nearly died in an accident once. Straight Body Auto was the ONLY positive experience and an absolute light at the end of the tunnel. They were helpful, experienced, always answered or called back, incredibly thorough, and fixed my car to a very high standard considering it was 2 months old when this happened. Alex went so far above and beyond whilst remaining consistently professional. read more

Slow, Expensive, Does not follow through with their own promises, Got rear ended and the repairs were to be covered by the other persons insurance. I was quoted $1200 from a reputable place near by but chose to drive further to Straight Auto Body upon a friends referral. I had several other dents and scratches from over the years and I asked them to provide me a good price on painting those since they would be painting a large area already. They agreed that they could accommodate. In fact the area most in need of paint was within 6 inches of the bumper panel needing repair and so I was told it would be covered in the fade which is required for the repair anyways. So I left the car with them and was told the repairs would take a few days. They reached out a week later to offer an outlandish price on the extra work I asked them to do (double what I was previously quoted elsewhere when it wasn't even being bundled with a bigger job. Disappointed I turned down the extra repairs (Strike 1). Then they took over 3 weeks to complete the work on the bumper which is 7x the quote (Strike 2). The insurance company was in constant contact with me to update me on the repairs so I know that some delay (a minority) was because they had to approve things. When I arrived to finally pick up my car I found that while I did have a new bumper with a decent paint job they did not fade the paint at all as they said they would and my bumper looks ridiculous where brand new paint now shares a hard border with a badly damaged area. If they faded only 6 inches past the border my car would look significantly better but they did the absolute minimum and not 1mm more. (Strike 3) Later when I browsing through the paper work I noticed they charged the insurance company $4600 for the bumper repair, nearly 3x what the other place was going to charge. It wasn't my money but it still upsets me knowing that this is part of the reason insurance is so expensive. For that price they should have painted the whole damn car! The one perplexing thing is that they did a great job cleaning my car inside and out and while I am grateful for that its just not enough to make up for the disappointing repairs. read more

Where do I even begin ?! Simon and his team are unbelievably amazing. I came across SAB after doing my yelp research for a good, honest body shop to fix up my rear bumper after I was hit on the fwy. The other guys insurance had suggested one of their partnered body shops but idk just never felt right and I felt as if they were going to do the most basic job on my car to make it cheap for them. I wanted to make sure I got the best for my brand new 2018 Camry. Thank goodness I came across SAB on yelp ! Overall nice owner believe his name is Simon. But the work done at his shop sucks to be honest. I got into a car crash and I was recommended to his body shop through the dealership in Glendale. It took forever to get my car back literally the longest wait ever. Everything seemed to check out great when I finally got my car back. Months later paint starts cracking from the area they "fixed." I went back they took care of it. Again I was stuck with a long wait to get my car back. Delay after delay. NOW a whole year later the paint on the car is cracking again. Same spot they "fixed" I have no idea what kind of work they do here but it honestly sucks and I won't be going back so they can "fix" again. Beware of this body shop. read more
