We are very pleased with the job that Chris and his team did on our roof in Citrus Heights, CA. We contracted for just half of a very steep roof. They had to remove fiberglass skylights that had broken with the wind and put on a completely new roof. My father is a carpenter and has some construction experience and was very impressed with their level of workmanship. They added a vent and that had not even occurred to my father. The workers were friendly and played pleasing music. We appreciated that they all wore appropriate safety equipment. This is great company! I was pleased from start to finish. Great communication, and my service technician, Kyle, was fantastic! He took photos during the quote process and took photos during and after the work that was being done. I had moss and debris removal done. There wasn't stomping on the roof or slamming of the tiles and property perimeter was blown off after the job was completed. This re-roof started with an excellent experienced roofer (Shaun) from Straight Line visiting my house. He took photographs of the problem areas, and suggested a few upgrades that we might consider... Like a sun tunnel... I was planning on interviewing 2 or 3 companies, but I felt confident to hire them on the spot! My instinct was right... When they came to re-roof they were three dry rot areas that had to be replaced... That roof was on its last legs! The week before the roof was done they recommended I do the necessary work on electrical... and make the hole for sun tunnel. I'm really glad I did this... This prepared the kitchen for the sun tunnel and it's made a huge improvement to the natural light there. The actual roof work was done The following week. They started on Monday and worked solidly till Wednesday, covering all the problem areas that had been discovered in the initial inspection. The only slight delay was the gutters, but that has been done now too, and everything is very satisfactory. I think this is an incredible company working together as a team. They are very responsive with any questions or problems - mostly done by text. They are top notch at all levels. Tuesday: We'll blow in R-38 insulation in the attic to boost energy efficiency, then begin the roofing installation. If any dry-rot is discovered, we'll repair it immediately under approved change orders signed by you. Wednesday: Completion of shingle installation across the entire roof. Thursday: Final touch-ups-sealing, flashing adjustments, and cleanup. Throughout one of these three days, we'll also install your new gutters, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the new roof. Phil from Straight Line Roofing stopped by as expected and gave me a ballpark estimate and let me know how long I should expect my roof to last. After my review was posted, Jack Borba, the owner of Straight Line reached out to me. We had a long and very frank conversation on the phone about my experience. He listened intently and genuinely wanted to know how he could make up for the issues. He advised me that Straight Line has a standard 5 year workmanship guarantee. He confirmed that my final contract was missing an attached document that outlined the guarantee. He and a supervisor came to my house and addressed the issues identified with the roof replacement. To put my mind at ease and make up for all of the shortfalls, he provided me with a 10 year workmanship guarantee. This is one of the biggest roofers in the area with a lot of positive reviews. I think they could have afforded to ignore one of the very few bad reviews.
