Looking at other pics I definitely think my pizza came out more charred than all the others. All in all it's a solid place that is needed in the area as a pizza place like this does not exist around here. Couple of things to improve: 1. I would have wait staff. They seem to be over staffed when I went which was great, but it would have been nice to have been waited on especially at paying over $20 for a personal pizza. 2. Add dessert to the menu. They have a Nutella pizza but I could have gone for a tiramisu or something. Even if it is bought from a bakery or something. 3. The prices for the toppings are kind of crazy. It was an extra $3 for mozzarella cheese. Yes it was high quality but still. All in all I will return as I am impressed with how quaint the place is and the pizza was tasty, I mean where can you find pistachio pesto in the city?

While visiting in Chicago. We stopped here to get a pizza. The place is small just several tables you place your order online while you wait. It comes out hot from the oven to your table. The staff keep to themselves. The place is clean and organized. I ordered olive oil, garlic, basil and old world pepperoni It was light and very good. I ate the leftovers the next day and it was still good. Also ordered the Marguerite pizza and that was okay but the sauce was sweet and a lot of it. Ordered it again a couple of days later to be delivered it was horrible. It looked the same but the there was no taste to it. I did t eat more than one slice. If you want to eat their pizza I would say eat in the shop but don't get delivery or pick up. They don't make it the same way.

Atmosphere was cute and cozy. Service was great! On to the food...I ordered the margherita which was excellent! A nice standard Neapolitan style pie. I also decided to order the pesto caprese. The buratta was good but the pesto sauce was a bit too salty. I would've preferred it without the pesto altogether to be honest. I'll definitely be back! Great spot!

Before I crack my knuckles and throw down, you should know I stopped in for a Margherita Pizza. So, let's take a quick detour: The couple times I tried to make my own salsa, I started by throwing tomatoes into a blender. I quickly learned this was a noob move, because you are left with tomato water! I mention this, because the tomato sauce at Strapoli reminds me of these failed culinary experiments of mine. I'm not sure what they were going for, but the result was bland tomato water. When the pizza was still piping hot, it slid right off together with the cheese. Is stayed put a little better once it cooled off some, but still not great. Speaking of cheese, the pieces of mozzarella were fine, but in light of everything else, they effectively stood alone. The small bits of basil failed to make an impact, and it seemed no seasoning of any kind was used. No EVOO either. The salt, red pepper, and oregano helped wake the slices up somewhat, but this seemed like a half-measure. Besides, food should be great out of the kitchen, and not mandate additional seasoning by guests. Without them, the only flavor I was able to pick up on was the one of burnt dough. As much as I want to give them some credit for a cute location and friendly service, this is not enough to get them out of the hole. A well-made Margherita Pizza can be heaven. This poor thing was purgatory.

I love a good Neapolitan pizza and this one is so good! Cute little shop with some outside seating, but feels very European. Fresh, quality ingredients and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Pizza was great! Waitstaff was very friendly, cozy atmosphere. Not great for large groups but nice spot for two. Very casual dining, but pizza was great! Pizza could be split for 2 people

Got the Margherita pizza. So good and fresh, cooked perfectly. Excited to go back and try a new flavor!

I say "gotdman". I've read a couple of articles mentioning how good this pizza was namely the "pistachina". While the pesto pizza was good the marinara stole the damn show. It taking me years & quite possibly a fucking decade to find a Mariana sauxe pie that liked. This sauce is special to say the least. Not to sweet, full of flavor, texture is light. It's just quite possibly the best sauce in Chicago whischnis a tall order in a renowned pizza town. Yes the portions are small & yes considering the size this is quite expensive but the taste of amazing. The dough is chewy but not obnoxiously so. In closing this is quite possibly my new favorite pizza in Chicago & if not it's on par with the best.

Must visit this spot!!! This pizza is fabulous! The owner and his family were so so nice. The vibes are also very quaint inside. Don't skip out on this awesome Diversey pizza spot.

Strapoli is always amazing! I've been on multiple occasions and it never disappoints. I feel like I am eating pizza in Rome! Their salads are also amazing. It is BYOB, so I recommend bringing a bottle of wine! Must stop place for a casual, delicious meal.

We got so lucky on Valentine's Day - we walked in around 6:15 PM and got seated immediately at one of the bar areas. We were instructed to use the QR code to order our pizza at our seats, which I could see helped with the line of pick-up orders flowing in and out. After 6:15 onward the place was packed. It felt like a private night with the owner Marc Berec (https://www.instagram.com/marcberec/?hl=en) as we watched him craft pizzas behind the counter. Italian music played in the background as we sipped our BYOB wine from Foxtrot across the street and enjoyed our fresh pizza. The Pistachina pizza's strengths are the pesto and mushrooms, however, I would love it if the pistachios on top were a touch more diced. Cheers!

The pizza was soggy. Crust was. a soggy mess and not cooked properly. You are better off with a frozen pizza.

The pizza was burnt on the bottom and crust. Iced cold when I picked it up and very, very soggy. Will never go here again.

There's a fair amount of seating considering the size of the place. Wasn't able to get a spot today unfortunately, but we did go at a busy time on a Sunday morning. Even though we were seated at a regular table, the place had a comfortable vibe and it was easy to settle into. The counter women were efficient, nice, and filled our orders promptly. They did give my friend the wrong size coffee at first, but corrected it quickly and without any problem. One thing I didn't love: my cappuccino was served in a Styrofoam cup while we were staying there. If you're drinking in, it really should come on a ceramic cup and saucer. Save the Styrofoam for takeout! The best part was that we stayed for a couple of hours and no one hovered over us, or made us feel like we had to leave. As for the coffee itself, it was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable either. That's a shame too, because the space is so comfy. Still, there are plenty of other coffee spots on the North Side - and this just gives me a reason to explore others in the neighborhood.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.
