If Scott G (owner) spent as much time effectively running his company and holding his team accountable as he does here on yelp justifying his and his staff's piss poor performance with all his pathetic excuses, he'd probably go a lot further in life. All one has to do is scroll through the negative reviews and it plain to see that the pattern of complaints has been the same for 14 years straight: unresponsive staffers, poorly maintained properties, inability to rent out properties in a timely way, holding on to security deposit, requesting deposits before providing leases for prospective tenant review, and so on. Everyone can't be wrong. Streamline Property staff and the owner completely suck. read more

This company is ridiculously unprofessional. We toured a townhome to rent last July 2025, and the agent was already unprofessional compared to the other agents we'd met on other tours, I was immediately concerned that if we rented the place how difficult would it be to have her as a agent, but it was a nice place so I overlooked it. We received the application and it said if we weren't approved we could receive a refund for the application fee. This was the first time we'd seen that on an application before. I'm sure we have a screenshot of that message somewhere in our phone. We did not get approved because a part of our income was guaranteed scholarships instead job income, even though it was still 3x the rent. They wouldn't accept the scholarships as income which is odd but fine, however we requested the refund that was promise because we weren't approved. The agent agreed and said she would get it done. She never did. Month after month I would randomly remember and reach out about it. I reached out about twice monthly and every time she responded with surprise that we still hadn't received it and she'd tell us that she'd get it done time after time. At this point it was the principal more than the money. If you promised a refund, then issue it. Now we are in March of 2026, l sent another follow up, because she told me in January that the office would have to send us a check and she instructed me to send an email to the office with our address and other information so they could do that. To my follow up she responded that they don't issue refunds once screenings are completed (which is not at all what the message on the application said) and that they are unable to issue a refund. Again I'm not pressed about the money, more so the principle. Because this behavior is beyond shameful, and it's disappointing that some companies are so content with operating in such a scammy manner. Zenet Takele was the agent for that home, and it's probably best that we didn't get approved because we probably would have suffered the same undesirable situations that some of these other tenets of streamline have suffered with, like the lack of action on repairs or lack of accountability. read more

These people are unprofessional crooks. Do not rent or buy a property from them. Be VERY careful when reviewing their leases. They are essentially slum lords that will try to pin everything on the tenant. They have unlawlful clauses within their leases that they will try to hold over you but go against Maryland state housing laws/codes. I unknowingly moved into a unit that was infested with mice and discovered the mice less than 1 month into the lease. They were non-responsive to service requests and bullying when they did respond. They tried to say that I was responsible for pest control as the tenant. They also claimed that I was financially liable for the remainder of the lease term if I decided to move out. After a month of no support- I moved out and then they found a new tenant without mitigating the issues. They are now withholding my security deposit and trying to charge me a "New Lease Fee" which is equal to my monthly rent (about $2,000).... Even though I left the property due to inhabitable conditions. I am sure some of the property managers are great. Ours has been just a nightmare. We are renters of a property, and every time we put in a maintenance request, there is a 50/50 chance of it getting taken care of on time or even 80/20 at all. If it is an electrical, they tend to respond relatively quickly. Pests, we are on our own. Pluming, about a week OR MORE. Exterior problems, a week - maybe never. An example is our shower had been leaking, so I put in a request. A week and a half later, still nothing, closing in on 2 weeks, finally, the PM had a guy come out. The first guy says he would be back with a part to fix it. So when the company called to schedule the next visit, we were happy to get it in ASAP, especially before the holidays. Only for it to be a new person and a new company entirely that showed up. Of which said the same thing! Only then to have the PM email us later that night asking for a third person to come in for an ESTIMATE. This is the first time we heard or were told that they were looking for estimates. This whole time, we thought the issue was being resolved, and they were just getting estimates. At this point, our water has been leaking for 2 and a half weeks. (Can't wait to see this water bill!!! That we will no doubt have to pay all of!) The third person comes in the next morning and then says, "Oh, I see nothing wrong," and then breaks the shower further. This caused the temperature valve to break completely. To the point it nearly burned my husband, as it would no longer allow cold water to cool the water. That is just the start. I put in work orders that have never been completed, but they were marked as complete. We had/have RATS, and they don't care, even though it is a safety issue and violates housing rights. The PM said it is on us, and it is our problem. I am not exaggerating when I say this, that my husband killed one that is about a size 11 in men's shoes. Before that, it was mice. Tiny mice, and they still didn't care, and it seems like they will not care, considering when we were about to move, they were trying to rent the place off ASAP without even considering fixing the attic where the issue is for the mice and rats. read more

I cannot recommend Streamline Management. Their handling of property issues is marked by a general laziness. Most notably, during a heavy storm, our basement began flooding. The gutters had been recently cleaned, and there were no leaves around the house, but the ground was so saturated from the rain that hydrostatic pressure caused water to rush through the foundation into the basement. It was even flowing down the back of the breaker box. Streams of water pooled under our stored belongings, ruining some of them. We immediately submitted a maintenance request and called the emergency line, but no one answered. We left several voicemails. The next day, Noah, the property manager, responded in a dismissive tone: "Is the water flowing toward the drain? Yeah, that happens. It's not a big deal." Upon inspection, it was clear this flooding had been happening frequently over years. The streams of water had worn divots into the tile floor, like a riverbed eroded over time. While I don't own the property, it was frustrating that we weren't warned in advance to avoid storing items in the basement. The flooding occurred several more times during our stay. On another occasion, a large tree branch fell in our front yard after a storm--too large for standard yard pickup. I reached out to Noah for advice, but my message was ignored, and we had to pay for removal out of pocket. Even if it was ultimately our responsibility, an acknowledgment would have been appreciated. In our final month, we were informed that prospective renters would be touring the property. We were promised at least a day's notice, and that same-day notices would be rare and at our discretion. Instead, Noah multiple times gave us only an hour's notice, leaving us scrambling to clean, pack, and get our pets out of the house. Some team members, like Marguerite Schmitt, who was kind and compassionate, and Katie Messner, the helpful office manager, were great to communicate with. But from a property management standpoint, I cannot recommend this company. As mentioned, their laziness is disconcerting, and I would be cautious not only about renting from them but also about trusting them to manage a property I owned. read more

This Company has crooks and incompetent employees. They give you a warm and trusting feeling that they are managing the property owners property, but in turn, they have no moral compass to protect property owners. Maintenance bills were paid 3-12 months late, tenants damage the property and property owners have to pay for damages. I have had a positive experience overall with Streamline but in this review I want to specifically call out Kyle who performs maintenance on Streamline Management properties. He came out to fix just one thing but took the time to fix any other little things around the apartment that we had not put in requests for yet. Our experience as tenants renting a property from Streamline has been nothing short of abysmal. The house was turned over to us in terrible condition: no working A/C, fridge, washing machine, or dryer, outlets throughout the house had not been tested/repaired (as alleged to us would be done prior to move in). The house additionally has a skylight, which has a visible crack in it. This crack has led to flooding, internal damage, fire alarm malfunctions, a visit from the fire department in the middle of the night, and probable mold development in the ceiling. The first flooding occurred 70 days ago and the only progress that has been made has been a tarp placed over the crack on the roof (and even this was not secured until over a month after initial notification). The contractors that the team has sent have been unhelpful: addressing problems separate from what was requested, at times taking our personal appliances off the property, and giving little to no warning when planning to be available for repairs (less than 10 minute warning to appear onsite). The team at streamline is consistently unresponsive unless we call, text, and email for every issue, has deleted our maintenance requests off the portal as they see fit, and continue to blame the owner for their lack of ability to solve any of our issues. Details aside, its safe to say we will never be renting from this company or doing business related to Streamline in the future. It is clear to me as all negative reviews online of the company have come from tenants, rather than owners, that Streamline is in the business of finding renters to keep their owners "happy", and leaving the tenants out to dry. read more

While everything Scott G wrote in his reply sounds reasonable, it's a load of BS that does not accurately reflect the conversations and correspondence that took place before and after I was given an offer to lease the home which was then rescinded. Botton line... I was given a written offer to lease the home on Water Street, but it required that I submit a substantial deposit before I could see the lease contract I would be required to sign. That in itself is beyond sketchy. But make no mistake, had I submitted the deposit and signed the contract, the home would have been mine regardless of anything Scott claimed was of concern to the landlord. When I asked on Friday evening and twice over the weekend if the deposit would be refundable if I did not agree to the terms of the contract, I NEVER received a response. I never even received notification that the lease offer had been rescinded. It took three or four calls on my part to the leasing agent to find that out. read more

Worst experience I have ever had with a landlord or rental company, do not rent from Streamline Property Management! Messages were left un-replied to or replied to very late, repairs were never completed, and most of all I was left living in a unit that was moldy and flooded when it rained heavily. Wish I had paid attention to some of Streamline's negative reviews before signing a lease with them. I rented the basement bedroom at 1608 S. Springwood Drive, Silver Spring, MD, and there was no end of problems with the unit and Streamline's management. In July, one of the hottest months of the year, the AC broke down and while they did send out a repair man to fix it, we continued to have issues with the AC over the course of lease. During the pandemic, I left to stay with my family, while my roommates stayed at our rental house. When I came back and was unpacking, I realized that the basement apartment was damp and there was mold on the walls, floor as you can see in the attached photos. Many of my belongings were damaged or ruined. While the mold was throughout the apartment, it wasn't immediately visible to my roommates or the AC technician Streamline sent since it had grown behind the bed, in corners, in closets, etc... It was a struggle getting Streamline and our property manager Lauren Mitchum to deal with this issue. While she did drop off a dehumidifier and did send a maintenance person to help clean up the mold, I continued to find more and more areas where the mold was growing. Lauren was often slow to respond and slow to solve the issues. My health was beginning to be affected and did not feel safe sleeping in the unit, I asked if it would be possible to let me out of my lease one month early since at this point the unit was still moldy and actively flooding when it rained. Lauren and the property owners refused my request. In the final month of my lease, Streamline did not send out any technicians to clear up the additional moldy areas and did not fix several other issues I had raised. I reached out to Scott Goldberg, Streamline's CEO, and despite him promising to look into it, he never got back to me. read more

I initially liked the fact that they charged less fees than other companies, and the owner personally came over to see the property and seemed like a competent professional. However, from the moment I gave them the keys, it went downhill. They had the property for over two months and were unable to move it, despite my reducing the price a number of times. Communication with the owner was awful - I usually had to send him two or three messages to get a response, despite my repeatedly saying that all I wanted was one update a week. That's not an unreasonable request. He finally handed the property over to an employee, who was much better at communicating, but again, they couldn't get the property rented. So I lost a lot of money and time. I would not recommend this company. read more

Streamline is - without a doubt - the most inept and unresponsive property management company I have ever dealt with. Here are SOME of the issues I encountered as a client: 1) When contacting Streamline management, I received no response - at all - for multiple days at a time, and in some instances more than a week at a time. I would email Streamline's representatives and hear nothing. Crickets. I finally would escalate to emailing the CEO, Scott, directly. He would typically take multiple days to respond, a response time that I find unacceptably slow for a property management company. Please trust other reviews who say that Streamline will not answer or return your calls in a timely fashion. Even when I did receive a response, Streamline would ignore half of my questions, forcing me to have to email them again to ask for a clarification, which would take another week for a response.... 2) Streamline told me on repeated occasions that they only search for tenants on the MLS, and specifically that they do not use Craiglist to advertise. I have lived in DC for almost a decade and at no point have I ever - not once, not a single time, zero times, not ever - used the MLS to find a rental apartment. I have used Craiglist each and every time, as have the majority of my colleagues and friends. I found Streamline's refusal to advertise on Craiglist completely mystifying. Additionally, Streamline did not place a tenant for me in a remotely reasonable amount of time, and when I switched property management firms, the unit was rented out almost immediately. 3) STREAMLINE FORGOT TO COLLECT RENT FOR ME FOR TWO STRAIGHT MONTHS. I was out of the country and relied on Streamline to collect rent. They... forgot? I was offered some half-baked excuse about how there were some crossed wires. The company did not provide the single one service for which I had contracted them. 4) The tenant that Streamline placed for me paid late, almost every month. I routinely had to email Streamline mid-month to remind them that the tenant was late, and to take corrective measures to enforce the lease. The company's poor handling of this very garden-variety lack-of-payment issue was very, very concerning. Under no circumstances would I work with this firm again. read more

I was a tenant of one of the condos managed by Streamline for a little over three years and unfortunately the experience definitely wasn't a positive one! They were VERY unresponsive when it came to repairs, rarely responding to my concerns when they arose unless I repeatedly called and emailed them. Although according to my lease I wasn't responsible for repairs, several times I was told I should repair damage myself. And despite the fact that Scott Goldberg said he'd note the existing property damage on my lease before I moved in, when I moved out in a timely fashion they refused to return my security deposit supposedly to cover the property damage that existed before I moved in. Overall, a terrible customer service experience and I was REALLY glad when I moved out and was no longer subjected to that treatment! read more

While I only worked with Streamline Management as a renter for about six weeks, it was a breath of fresh air after after the previous property management company we suffered under for the previous five years. To be frank, I came in to the relationship ready for battle (sorry Scott) as we were already preparing to sue the previous management company for their inaction and gross incompetence. Streamline took that in stride, answered all my questions promptly, and if I had a question the person I was working with couldn't answer, they got me to the person who could. In the time we were with them I worked with four different people and all were a pleasure to work with. My main concern was our security deposit. I'm pleased to report that after an in person move out walk through, we received our full deposit, plus interest, in less than the legally required time. Scott never answers nor returns calls, emails or texts (2 months almost) and I did an application, paid and passed my background/credit check and he ghosted me. No word after that. No status update on the application at all. Nothing! I'm still trying to contact with my lawyer and I've reported him to the Office of Human Rights, for an complaint. Scam/theft is what this is. The properties I've interested in are still sitting vacant with no other applicants... I was the only one on both of them for the last 2 months. This boy is totally laughable and an embarrassment to be called a realtor. The owners who trusted him with their homes.. come on, your place is just sitting because he's not working to fill them. It's a huge waste monthly for homeowners but, if they can afford to pay for two places, good for them. LOL! Avoid the jerk at all costs - you've been warned! read more
