ok... so good cheap drinks, was told "it's too busy" for house shots. Every drink, even song requests after when a major concert packs your bar on a "slow day"... i havnt been to a bar where the staff is to busy to serve or cater to its customers. unfortunately, not being from here i'm not ok with this horrid service. Avoid this place at all costs ! There was one person in front of me and I ended up waiting 10 minutes for the bartender. After getting my drinks there was not only a fruit fly in my drink but also my dates drink. When I went to complain the bartender got defensive and said "this is happening to everyone in Queen Anne!" When I said that is still gross she said should could remake them but is just going to refund me. While refunding me she complained again to me for not tipping. I don't have to tip, and I certainly wont tip after waiting 10 minutes for a drink with bugs in it. Again, avoid this place at all costs. read more

This place is as reviewed. I only saw one television, so this is not a sports bar (which is a plus in my book). Credit card okay at bar. More seats around the bar than most places in the area. There are also bench seats. Couple pinball machines. For food you need cash. Because of a Yelp review, I knew I could place my order (and pay) at kitchen window and food would 'find' me at the bar-which it did. Came here on a Saturday around 5pm. I never leave negative reviews but this bar really deserves the worst review. We (my husband and I) were in town for a hockey game and stopped in for a beer. The place was pretty empty on a Wednesday afternoon. Ordered beers and the millennial bartender told us they didn't have that, despite a sign saying they did. She then told us we'd do better at McMenamin's, basically asking us to leave in a sarcastic way. Apparently this bar is making so much money (or are still flush with gov PPP money) they can pick and choose who they serve. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

Streamline's the kind of local-dive you'd expect in a small Midwestern town. Everyone seems to know each other, the bartenders, and the people walking past; the people who serve you one day are sitting by you the next, and if you show up more than once, they know your name & ask you how you've been. This is the place I've always dreamed of having but wasn't willing to sacrifice city-living for. Also, the tots are fire. read more

We went here on a recommendation of a journalist friend. Apparently one of the owners is a journalist too, so we decided to check it out. We were there mid day, so that felt a little weird, but thankfully we weren't alone. It's a pretty cool place and the First Amendment is definitely alive and well there. I didn't get a pic because my phone was dying, but the sign on the t.v. says. "READ A FUCKING BOOK". Good advice these days. I bought a cool t-shirt to remember them by. Just tried to attend had heard good things from friends who lived a block away was told by a female bartender that "you look like you belong somewhere else" after asking for our ID And explaining to us that we were not their audience. I'm always a little unsure about how to rate dive bars that are just trying to be dive bars. Wine selections include "red" and "white," the food is sporadically available and not a draw, there's no air conditioning so it's hot as balls in summer or when crowded, etc. Not a place to bring the Queen. But drinks are cheap, bartenders are cool as fuck, the aesthetic is retro fun, there are games. . . it's hard not to feel welcome. read more

This place is so calming. I come for the atmosphere. They have lavender vaporizers and free artichoke hearts in a bucket. Nothing unusual ever happens here which is great for me because I have a condition that requires no surprises. Plus the regulars have the classic Seattle Freeze which I need so people don't interrupt me while I'm bored and insecure. read more

Stopped in on my first night in Seattle on a Sunday looking to unwind with some friends. This place was near their hotel so we took a stroll and settled in because it wasn't crowded, we were maybe 1 group out of 4 groups of people total. Pretty much ideal for chilling out after a full day of traveling by plane and car. The ambience and decor is so authentic I almost teleported to the early 90s before we were all incessantly staring at our smartphones. I imagined what it was like to hang out there 20-30 years ago and it felt very nostalgic. Loved it. We raided the jukebox, ate some delicious dive bar food (the server who brought us the food was very nice), had a couple vodka sodas (great bar staff as well) and chilled. This is exactly the kind of dive bar you are probably looking for in Seattle. It's also conveniently located near downtown and isn't overly touristy- which is a major plus for people looking to feel at home while away from home. I'll be back! read more

First timer, great experience! Low, yet well-lit atmosphere. Whoever ran the music was amazing. Bartender was very hospitable and the patrons were mellow. They also have board games available to play, and sports on the TV's for fans. What I especially appreciated was the large amount of public ads they had for awesome events around the area. They were plastered around the entire bar, including a bar calendar marking fun events nearly every day. Also: The ceiling is a giant chalkboard, they have t-shirts for sale, and they don't pressure you if you order mocktails all night. Sweet bonus. read more

Love this dive bar! Good place to stop before or after dinner or pre/post event at Seattle center. Very spacious, two separate rooms. They always have drink specials and cheap beer. This is definitely a dive bar but in a good way. After having a not very pleasant experience with our hotel bar, my husband and I ventured out and came across this place. Still feeling a bit of a hangover from last night's visit to the Streamline, so an opportune moment to review one of Seattle's best dive bars. Actually, if you are from the Midwest (Wisconsin in particular), you should feel at home here. Actually feels more like a neighborhood tavern than a dive bar to me. Love this place. Has such a unique chill vibe and I go here at least once a month, more in the summer. Perfect place to take a stroll to when I wanna kill some time on a weeknight but don't necessarily wanna ~go out~, or even when I just want to get away from my roommates for a bit. I almost always chat with someone at the bar, and by now a couple of the bartenders recognize me. A real neighborhood bar and probably one of the last few OG Seattle businesses - especially in this part of town! This gem has incredibly friendly and fun staff, who recognize customers and make everyone feel comfortable. Perfect place to experience that 'being-yelled-at-by-someone-without-a-highschool-diploma' charm. One bartendress was super pleasant and easy to deal with. The other was super rude for no apparent reason. Like, I was placing my order and she walked away mid sentence because I didn't say it fast enough. I asked for a beer sample and she poured me a shot of foam then slammed it down at me. Scolded us for a few other things, I don't know, maybe some are into that stuff. Friends and I enjoyed the Jenga w/ dares on the pieces. On a hot day, be warned that there is no AC, and the downstairs billiards arena was piping hot due to the nearby taco kitchen. Really cute dive bar. Has comfy booths and a nice patio. Reasonably priced beer, and a good happy hour. Food orders are cash only but delicious and well worth the price! The cook there is a such a nice guy too, very friendly, and you can tell he puts alot of tender, love and care into his work. Most importantly though this place, last I checked at least, has some of the best bathroom graffiti I've ever seen in a ladies room. read more
