    Thai coffee- yes!
    Sandra V.

Came in after lunch rush. Service was fast and friendly, the ambiance was relaxed and soothing music filled the space. I ordered a beef salad with cabbage and onions. It was a 2 level spice, and perfectly balanced spice. The beef was tender and the cabbage was fresh. The sauce was spicy and tasty. I added lemon to add another layer and I was fully satisfied. I also had a Thai coffee. It was dark and sweet. Very well balanced and strong.

Tried this place based off a post from another foodie @sandiegofoodluver posting boat noodles that I've been wanting to try a new spot for. Located in the heart of North Park so you gotta find parking and it can get a bit difficult. When I walked to the bathroom I saw my friend Phitsamai working in the kitchen which I didn't know. Hello sister! There was only 1 waiter who was doing everything from taking orders and bringing out foods and bills, etc amongst 5+ tables all at once. Since she was the only 1 it did take a bit but understandable. I ordered boat noodles, Lao style papaya salad, and my son got the pad prik kratiem pork belly. We agreed that the papaya salad was a bit salty. I enjoyed my boat noodles. I like how it came with not only different meats and meatballs but tripe which is omitted at other restaurants. My son enjoyed his dish. I will say their prices are really decent and their portions are huge for the amount. Interested in coming back and trying other items.

Stopped by because I got a giftcard. Cutting to the chase, this was very bland and boring overall. Their Spring Rolls had 3 small pieces of shrimp that 1. barely covered half of the spring roll and 2. you couldn't even taste because the ratio of veggies is overwhelming. The peanut sauce was watery and didn't help the rolls. The Steam Dumpling Combo was small and bland. The dough was thicker than it should've been and completely took over the flavor. For my main, I got the Cashew Delight with chicken and it was not delightful. There was barely any chicken and it had no spice at all, but it was drowning in sauce. The veggies were the only good part. This was not filling either. Maybe they were having an off day based on other reviews, but I won't be back to find out. I didn't like a single thing I tried from here.

The food is very good. I've had the Mango Chicken Curry twice. This last time we had that plus Calamari, and 2 other apps. The Calamari is some of the best I've ever had!!!! We also had the Tiger ,a beef and salad dish, that was fantastic. We sat on the patio. They are dog friendly. The service is very good

Haven't been here in many years. Place still has it. I'm surprised it's never that busy any time I've come here for how good it is. They get the spice level right without just burning the crap out of your mouth. Small place. Quick and friendly service.

Went another time with some friends and it was SO DELICIOUS AGAIN! We got ginger tea and it was soo soo flavorful and perfect for a cold day. I also got the mango curry and OMG! I had never had mango curry and it did not disappoint. It was super yummy and it might be my new curry. As always service was great!

Great dinner spot with some friends! Amazing customer service and inside vibe. We came when it was slow, but it was pretty busy by the time we left! Highly recommend the kai soi soup and the imported suja. My friends found their food delicious as well. Reasonably priced.

want variety and savory satisfying eats for pops on Father's Day? Street Side Thai in North Park is the spot! their beef salad is hearty, and their summer rice wrapped rolls with shrimp are delish, if a bit too lettuce-stuffed. overall a savory satisfying experience, plenty of seating and friendly quick service!

Starting off with the pad Thai. I added shrimp and it tasted good. The portions of the food are pretty generous here. The soup had the perfect sourness to it. I been going here couple times and the workers are always nice and attentive. This place is so chill they have boards while you wait for your food. Food comes out fast!!!

The food at Street Side Thai Kitchen was great, we ordered mango curry, mango tango and pad woon with friend pork. The mango dishes were very savory, mango tango being very creamy. The pad woon fried pork was very crispy. The building itself is located in the busy University Ave, making parking hard but still manageable. Service was great, our server was busy but still ensured we were taken care of. Overall 4/5.

Delicious food, good servings, and about $100 for a group of 4 with a little bit of food to take home. Service was quick. And pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon. Booth seating.

This place was recommend to us by our Airbnb host so we decided to check it out. The menu was extensive but everything we tried was pretty good. We started with peach Soju and a pina colada. Our appetizers were spring rolls and tom kha soup. The soup was the perfect blend of spices that warmed my belly and made me wish I ordered a larger portion. For entrees we had the street Thai rice, pineapple rice, and a spicy coconut curry salmon. Everything and I mean everything was soooo delicious. The waiter Tah was absolutely amazing. He was super helpful with ordering and even recommended we change our orders so we could enjoy more of the flavors when sharing. He made us feel comfortable and gave us tons of recommendations during our stay in San Diego. If you're in the North Park area I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Maybe they were just having an off day today, but I thought this restaurant was just barely OK…read more After hearing how good it is for so long I was a bit disappointed TBH. I went with one of my girlfriends tonight at about 5:30 PM. We were quickly seated. I ordered a mango lemonade, which came out quite fast and was beautiful. It tasted pretty good too. I asked the server for recommendations on the menu, but she seemed startled by my question, like she was not used to giving recommendations. The two items that she did recommend didn't really sound appealing so I went with Pad See Ew with mock duck. That's one of my go to dishes at a Thai restaurant. I asked not to have any spice level added to my food, but the food came out and was just generally lacking flavor. It was very bland and even though there was a generous portion of vegetables in the dish the mock duck was super mushy. All the places I've ever been to it's sautéed crispy. Also, the the noodles were all stuck together. Like if you put noodles in water to let it boil, but you don't stir them and they just boil like that in a clump. The restaurant was very cute inside. I would be open to trying it again just because I've heard so many good things that I can't believe this is their standard experience.

I love the starchy noodles and how it thickens the chicken soup. The Lao sausage is also delectable, comes with a fresh and herbaceous sauce with a side of Lao glutinous rice made presumably the traditional way, soaked in water then steamed. It has a wonderful chewy texture that's different from short grained glutinous rice. All of it is amazing and it's hard to deviate from the regular rotation, but my eye is on the Khao Soi and avocado curry next.
