This is one of my favorite Thai spots in San Diego! The owners are incredibly kind, staff is thoughtful, and the food is even better. I've gone here about four times in a couple months that I've lived in San Diego and I'm always leaving wanting more! It really surprises me every single time I go. It's extremely clean and well decorated, such a good vibe That you might not expect from the outside.

Good soup

We were acknowledged as we entered the restaurant were asked to seat ourselves. The services was quick & staff friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its cute Thai place on Rainey day to have soup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered soup & I enjoyed my soup they were generous with the shrimp. We ordered a noodles dish really liked it. The portions are enough for two people unless you are hearty eater. I'm not sure about the parking situation, the restaurant is in a shopping center with few spaces in front. I don't know if street parking is limited.

What a find! Great food. Small place but wait was very short for a table on a Saturday eve. Tried the pad Thai and drunken noodles - excellent. Service was polite and fast.

Pad Thai, spring rolls

Excellent place for pick up! The pad Thai is delightful, very flavorful. Beware that medium is very spicy lol. The spring rolls I felt were not as good as other ones that I have tried, not a lot of flavor or anything interesting inside of them. They were very friendly when I went to go pick up, and the food tasted fresh. I'd love to try some other items on their menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the restaurant also looks really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Never disappoints! Always super fresh and delicious. This is my to go place when I want delivery.

Green papaya salad. (Try it with some peanut sauce). Amazing.

We love Thai Joint. Usually we order delivery but decided to dine in tonight. As usual, the food was awesome and the service was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a nice dinner and liked that we could have conversation with our food because it's not loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food was pretty good, & we were seated right away. It was a good amount, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a casual dining place so people can come here for friends and whatnot, maybe not a super romantic place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hi .we came to dine in at Thai joint and got seated n had water brought to us..the server named Donavan came after 2 mins and rushed us to order ..but 15 mins later he brought our food in Togo containers bagged saying the kitchen by mistake made it to go and he said if we still want to dine in or to go ..we were so disappointed and just said we will have it Togo as the server was not apologetic..we regularly have Togo orders and this one time when we wanted dine in we were left completely disappointed..we were not even offered any form of discount as a form of apology.

Delicious!! My sister and I stopped in here for lunch after a market and were delighted by this experience. We had two Thai iced teas with coconut milk and shared tofu spring rolls and som tom salad to start and Thai yellow curry as our main! My sister is a vegetarian and they had ample vegetarian options which was great! Our server was so kind and attentive and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the space was clean and relaxing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had zero complaints and empty plates.:)

I love this place so much. Authentic, welcoming, and not expensive. If I can't think of anywhere to eat, I hit up Thai Joint. Never disappoints!

Amazing food, great quality tofu and rice used here that really amplifies the flavors of the dish. My friend and I met up here on a Thursday night and we seated immediately ([[HIGHLIGHT]]although space is limited and parking can be challenging[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]). Folks who work here are great and my friend and I were able to chat about life over a great dish of panang curry and thai basil with fried tofu. We also got the thai tea and it was very sweet! Overall, I would definitely come back here and try more vegan items at this place!

Located in a small plaza off of a busy street with a handful of parking spots that is difficult to get in and out, Thai Joint on Adams is a decent place to get Thai food. Pretty good for the area but not one I'd go out of my way to get. The restaurant is in the middle of the plaza. I got it to go and my interaction with the staff was lovely. They were semi busy when I arrived on a Saturday night at 7pm but all had smiles across their face. Chatted with two people and they took the time to introduce themselves and ask me about my plans for the night and if I ever been here etc. If you choose to eat there, it looks like there are enough seats for about 50 people. The left side of the business is pick up and the kitchen and the right side is full of tables and booths. I ordered two things: Kra pow w duck and extra veggie. I asked for medium spice and they gave me a 3 out of 10. I should have specified a 5 out of 10. It was great flavor but zero kick. It was a good dish. Better than I expected. Just small portion size. I ordered it with brown rice. Red curry w duck and white rice was the other order. I ordered a 7 out of 10 spice level. The spices ended up setting to the bottom of the container and requires a really good mix in order to get that kick. It could have been hotter and next time I'll order a 8 or 9. The 7 tasted more like a 5 to me. Small portion size again. It's not real duck, it's vegan duck. Tasted pretty similar to the real thing. To get four star I want to feel like it was a memorable meal. And while I'm happy I came, I won't be dreaming about this meal.

Today we stopped here for a lunch. It was around 12:00 on a Monday. It was pretty chill not too many people which was nice. I ordered the see ew noodles with mock duck. I ordered level 2 spice. It was delicious and arrived in a timely manner after our Thai iced tea and other appetizer. I loved the Thai iced tea with coconut milk. It was creamy, sweet and refreshing! The ambience is relaxing and chill. I've been here one other time and after two visits, it's official! I'd definitely recommend this Thai place!

Great spot to pick up Thai food. Not overly expensive. Consistent quality. Def a staple for us when we just want to pick something up.

Does this place have gluten free items and are the listed like they are at plumeria?

Hello! Great question. We do have gluten free items upon request. Many other items are gluten free naturally. As we continue to refine our menu, we’ll be sure to list such items as “GF” as they are at Plumeria. Thank you for your question!

My favorite salads are the Grapevine and Duck Cranberry. For sides I recommend the potato salad and tomato basil bisque. The aioli they use is to die for -- can't hurt to get a side of it with any sandwich! The restaurant is situated on the corner of Park Blvd. and Polk Ave. (more generally, it's on the strip of Park Blvd. between University Ave. and El Cajon Blvd.). There is usually a good amount of parking on Park Blvd. and Polk Ave., which is nice. The space has a simple-yet-tasteful modern design and interior, is always clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Great for lunch hour or a weekend date. Update: Came back today with my friend and we ordered the B3 and the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwiches, plus sides of potato salad and cucumber salad, and a double chocolate cookie with pistachio and sea salt. Everything was really good, but the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwich was the star of the show. The cookie was great too. We both agreed the potato salad could use some salt, but besides that it was a solid meal all around.

I use a 3-strike rule when I go out because having worked in food service I understand stuff happens, but this was not just a one-off. Firstly, the man that took our order was rude, there wasn't anyone behind us waiting to order and the cashier spoke SO fast and cut me off multiple times. I felt rushed but whatever. I ordered the stuffed French toast and added bacon, eggs, and hash-browns with a latte, my fiance got the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs and black coffee. The latte was really good, and the hot coffee was great according to my fiancé. We waited close to 45 minutes for our food, they were busy obviously, as it was a Sunday morning, but we watched a few other couples get their food before ours. We got everything we ordered except my eggs and bacon, which the food runner said would be "right out". While I waited I ate half of my hashbrowns, which were lukewarm, I wanted to eat my eggs with the hashbrowns so I waited. I ended up waiting 10 minutes before I got up to ask an employee to check on my food, as I received only half of what I ordered and had been waiting so long. He went back and brought my eggs and bacon, but go figure, the food wasn't hot! None of what I ordered was hot, so clearly the food had been sitting. You would think after waiting so long for your food it would've been fresh. Lastly, there were pieces of egg shell sprinkled across my stuffed French toast. How does that even happen unless they were cracking eggs near my food or had egg shells allover their hands. The stuffed French toast was good after I picked out all of the egg shells, and I couldn't finish all of it, so I asked an employee who was restocking glasses where I could get a to-go box. He told me to ask the cashier 6 feet away, and that the boxes are behind him, but the cashier had a line to the door so obviously I didn't want to bother him. I ended waiting until the guy was restocking glasses directly in front of the to-go boxes and he got me one. All in all, terrible customer service, lukewarm food, long wait, and very much not worth the $75, and I wish we could take our tip back, that you pay BEFORE receiving any service.

I still try to stop by every few months as this place holds a special place in my heart. A no frills spot. Solid and consistent. To the point but friendly customer service. Fantastic drink, chip and snack selection. Sandwiches are always bomb asf. The hot momma and BLT loaded up is my favorite. My husband still loves their Ruben (it is his favorite place to get it.) You get a small potato or macaroni salad on the side with a pickle (perfect crunch.) I personally think it's a great little add on. Their chili is also simple but delicious. I used to frequent Fatboy's because it was close and convenient for a long time, but I am rarely able to visit anymore... parking is a bigger challenge every day in North Park, and finding even a 15-minute spot takes way longer than the drive for me now (but the walk is too far to pick up a quick meal). Today I was down the street for something else so decided to order a sandwich. I was excited, then my jaw dropped when I saw the price increases. It's $18 for the North Park Club now, with no extras. I already had a hard time justifying $15 for a sandwich but I'm officially, 100% priced out now. I know it's not necessarily on the business owners; rent is exorbitant in NP, profit margins are small in the food service industry, and operating costs are high. Our city is eating itself alive, but thank you for the years of sandwiches!
