The ambiance was nice and the service was very attentive. The food was just okay for me and didn't really suit my taste. The pad see ew was a bit too sweet for my preference, and the crab fried rice was a little bland. The hamachi nigiri was just alright, though I did enjoy the agedashi tofu.

First you walk in and it smells amazing. It smells like perfectly cooked entrees. The drinks look so tasty, I opted for a beer. We had basil fried rice and they added chucked on request. I had Panang curry and it lit me up. Spice level medium is more like lava spicy. So tasty and fresh

Krua sits where the beloved Thai Gourmet used to stand, but the decor has pretty much been untouched. The new restaurant serves not only an expansive Thai menu but also sushi and Japanese eats too! Happy we went to try it before word gets out, as we enjoyed a peaceful, quiet, and yummy meal even on a Friday night :) The food was delicious! Definitely not cheap, but the quality and presentation were nice. Everything was tasty, but we absolutely loved the crab omelette and Tokyo risotto! ** Crab omelette (5/5)-- never had this before, and it was a huge blanket of crispy fluffy egg studded with large lumps of crab meat. Super tasty :) ** Tokyo risotto (5/5)-- interesting combination of savory and a little sour/funk from the truffle. I liked how creamy the rice was while retaining a bit of bite. The seared tuna on top was yummy as well. Definitely comforting~ ** Beef skewers (4.5/5)-- extra tender and flavorful. Slightly too salty for me and too sweet for MT. I could eat a few plates of these! ** Green curry (4/5)-- a little on the watery side but still flavorful. I liked the variety of vegetables (bamboo, mushrooms, eggplant), but there wasn't much protein. ** Pad Thai (4/5)-- bouncy noodles with lots of flavor. This one mostly tasted sweet for me, but the lime and chili flakes on the side amped up the flavor profile. ** Glass noodle salad (3.5/5)-- beautifully presented and herbaceous, but it was mostly sour and needed a bit more sweetness and salt in my opinion. The noodles might have also been slightly undercooked. Our waiter, Anthony, was sweet and friendly (and our busser constantly refilled our water glasses!). They were able to accommodate our no-spicy request for weaklings easily! The parking lot was packed but there are several reserved spots up front for dining customers as well as a lot the back. We're definitely returning to try other dishes-- give them a visit before word gets out!

We went for my son's B Day dinner he wanted Asian fusion. It was excellent. Drinks, appetizers and entrees. Staff super nice. All the food had lots of unique flavors each dish very different. I had a Thai staple pad thai noodles. I will be going again and highly recommend it i for dinner with family or even a date night.

This is a new Thai-sushi restaurant on Richmond. I went around 9:30 pm, which wasn't a busy time, so the server was very attentive and helpful. I visited on the third day of their soft opening. The restaurant feels elegant, like dining in a fine dining space, with beautiful Thai decor everywhere. That evening, I wanted a light dinner, so I tried the sashimi of lean tuna and the madai crudo. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. I also ordered their signature cocktail, the Aris the Red Dragon, to pair with my sashimi. However, I was a bit disappointed with the drink--I could mostly taste lime juice, and it overpowered the gin, which is supposed to be the main spirit in the cocktail. Overall, the freshness and quality of the ingredients were 10/10, and the elegant atmosphere and decor were also 10/10. Next time, I'll definitely come back to try some of the Thai dishes.

Some of the best Thai food I have had back in the US after living in Thailand long term. Great service and wonderful owners.

I've only got to-go from here once, and from what I remember, the wait wasn't too bad. The parking is quite difficult since the lot is so small. To share, we got an order of crispy veggie spring rolls and a bowl of tom kha with chicken. Both always hit the spot. Some Thai spots make tom kha too salty but I think this one is seasoned well. We also ordered pad see ew and pad woon sen with tofu. So delicious! The portions are pretty generous, so we had a good amount to take home.

I ordered it with beef, and the beef was very tender and not dry at all. Furthermore, the overall dish has the wok hay flavor and was one of my favorite pad see ews I've ever had. Thai Iced Tea - it was your average thai iced tea where it wasn't mixed at first(which I think is a sign of authenticity!) and sweet at the perfect level with condensed milk. What makes this a four star was that the service was a little iffy in my opinion. Even though we were in a large group which makes it harder for waiters to order, the waiter stared at one of my friends and started mumbling despite him already ordering which made it pretty awkward.

When you come in, wait to be seated, order and pay at the table. 2. Price - approximately $15 a plate. 3. Ambiance - Classy restaurant. I love the white linen on the tables. Soft music, white and red walls with Thai decor. Natural lighting during the day with warm interior lighting. It appears that there has been a makeover to the restaurant. I like the new look more. It seems more upscale in appearance. Dress code here is business casual. 4. Food - I've had their YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND WHITE RICE. Curry is a bit sweet to my liking, but overall, it was a good meal. Will have to try other dishes next time. Food presentation is nicely plated. Not messy or sloppy. 5. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try again and will highly recommend this place.

It's cute from the outside, and as soon as you walk in, you're warmly welcomed by both the waitress and waiter. Once seated, they were quick with drink orders and attentive throughout service was impeccable...For food, I ordered my go to Tom Kha Kai, along with the crab wontons from their happy hour menu. The Tom Kha had a lighter, more watery base than the rich coconut flavor I'm used to. I know this can vary by region, so it wasn't bad, just not my personal preference...The cream cheese crab wontons were decent and nicely presented. They also served a complimentary appetizer, which was a fun surprise, a taco shaped fried wonton wrapper filled with cabbage and their house dressing...Overall, if you're looking for a quick Thai bite with excellent service, this place works. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 not because it's bad, but because the flavors didn't quite match what I personally look for. For what it is, it's solid. -- Pilgrim Sojourner

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! The mango was soft/sweet, the rice and sauce had that salty coconutty flavor. Aside from the delicious food, the interior is cozy and the waiters here were friendly and gave great advice on what to order. They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
