I was reading through a few of the others and shocked to see anyone would call the owner, Angi, anything other than kind, genuine, knowledgeable & professional. She's a BIG part of the reason I joined immediately after taking a tour. However, it sounded like that person hadn't even been in the gym so I am unsure why that person even posted (strange). This is such an amazing workout & the classes offered, virtually, range from 15 minutes to 45 minutes so I can always find time for at least 1! I love shedding all the toxins out of my body with the infrared heat and leave there knowing I got an amazing workout in less time than I would have at my previous gym. As a busy, working mom, it is a huge perk that they are open 24 hours! I cannot think of one thing I don't like about this gym & highly recommend it to everyone I know.

Hoping to help others make informed decisions about signing up. If you want to cancel, you need to give a 30-day written notice. Meaning, you may end up paying for an extra month even if you aren't able to use it. When I signed up I was told that I just needed a 3 month commitment and could cancel any time. Seemed fair and clear enough. Long after my 3 month commitment, I tried cancelling my membership a week before it was supposed to renew, and they told me I would be billed again. They said it was in their sign up waver that you need to provide 30 day written notice from when you want your account to be inactive. I tried explaining my sign up experience and how I wasn't told about this policy and was led to believe I could cancel at any time after my three month commitment. They said they normally do tell people about this policy and that it's standard for boutique gyms. Aren't boutique gyms supposed to provide better care and customer service? It seemed like I wasn't believed or they just don't care. And that was that. Hoping to help others save their money!

And this was my fault cause I didn't ask all the right questions since I had never been a member of a fitness club, lesson learned. So if you want to do the unlimited/monthly, you are committed to a three month plan with a 30 days notice. So just be aware when you go to that free class that is not mentioned and this is just letting anyone that is interested in becoming a member. This is a great place. Altogether, I've been a Lifetime member off and on going back to 2003, and while there's always plenty of comparison and criticism from members, there isn't a better fitness operation around. Even though I don't go to this location often, I'm very comfortable with its layout because it's pretty much identical to my old club in Columbus, Ohio. While I have not taken any classes at Flower Mound, it is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and want in a club. In addition to the multitude of weights, classes, personal training, and treadmills, it also has a recovery area which, although smaller than Las Colinas, offers the massage chairs, cryo chairs and leg compression found at my home club. The #1 reason I belong to Lifetime from an amenities standpoint is because of recovery/rejuvenation - that alone is worth the price of admission. I love that Flower Mound took one of its two hot tubs in the main lap pool area and converted it to a cold plunge - so it's worth the trip when I go over there to play pickleball and then go to the tubs. As for pickleball itself, the courts are next to the basketball court as they occupy part of what was once a full area devoted to hoops. The courts are side by side and have no dividers. Last time I was there the club left a basket of balls that everyone plucked from when they didn't want to chase down a ball from their court, which I don't think is a great fix as you end up with tons of balls lying around that someone could step or trip on. As for the pickleball experience itself, the players are friendly, the space is a bit humid, sometimes there's an attendant there - sometimes not. The experience is the equivalent of what you'll find at a municipal operation like Wagon Wheel in Coppell or L.B. Houston - smaller parks with some programming, except that it is indoors with fewer courts. I don't get the impression it's run very well, or that it's a top club priority, but it's good enough to work into my playing routine from time to time when I want to change it up. Overall, the Flower Mound Lifetime, based on the time I've spent there, is an excellent health and fitness choice packed with value no matter your health mission.

I couldn't do any more of the weightlifting so I went to get on the treadmill for the last 20 minutes and she wouldn't let me saying that was not part of the Class. All I wanted to do was get on the treadmill and walk, so I just left because I didn't feel like complaining Over I like this place, but how foolish is it to tell paying customer they can't wind down on the treadmill for the last 20 to 30 minutes when they have no energy left

I saw that mentioned in other reviews before I signed up, so I was mentally prepared for the extra cost (about $100 for both). They were running a $1 enrollment special when I joined, so that helped balance things out. Everyone here has been super friendly, and I've had a great experience so far. I didn't even realize how above and beyond it is until I moved away and had another place become my "home location". Christine and Will do SO much for their members. They really put effort into showing how much they care and they treat you like an individual, not just a number. They acknowledge your accomplishments with a shout out, they host events, they provide free samples from local businesses, and they always provide excellent customer service. They're just really compassionate & passionate people and it's very obvious they love what they do. That love pours over into how well the gym and its members are taken care of. I haven't found that in another location since moving away.
