Been here many times for bowling, arcade and movies. The bowling and arcade are solid. If you get food at the lanes, every time it will be slow, and you'll have to remind someone that you ordered. The theater seats are great, and the food is good enough. My main issue -- 3 out of the last 4 times I've been to the movies I've had problems with getting my food. They just plain forget me. Tonight was the worst. I told them after waiting way too long that my food hadn't arrived. Then after another 20 minutes someone showed up with my bill. I told the young man that I wasn't paying for food I didn't get. He was courteous and understood. Minutes later, as the final scene was playing out, another young man showed up with my food. I hangrily laughed and pointed out that the movie was over. He brought me to go boxes so I could heat up cold food once I got home. This happens once, no big deal. But it's clear from my experience and reading these other reviews that this place, while nice, is not organized or well-run. read more

This is always a fun place to hang out with friends and family. I went today to see Doctor Strange and the service was fast, the food was hot, and it was good for theater food! I got the jalapeño Texas burger, the Scarlet Sangria, a Texas Blonde beer, & a order of original chicken tenders. There was some confusion about the chicken tender meal but the staff was friendly and fixed everything right away! I also played arcade games & did the bumper cars. It was a BLAST! Got a chance to visit a second time. S&R is still a great place to have fun and very clean atmosphere - the kids enjoyed quite a bit the arcade, and this time we bowled. The lanes are clean, the electronics are easy to run, and there is food/drink service while you play. The one disappointment is that we reserved a lane from 2-330pm. The website recommends that you get there 15min early to get all the admin done for the lanes. I went in before the rest of our party to do just that. I got everyone's shoes got a drink and sat and waited until everyone got there at 2pm. Pretty seamless. However, at 315 our time ran out. I was not informed at that time, but The "official" time started when I checked in and not at 2pm. So we felt like we were shorted about 15 minutes of play. I went to the employee to explain what happened in a couple of different ways, and was basically told "too bad." This was a not very enjoyable occurrence in an otherwise successful trip. read more

We came for our first movie theater experience since COVID hit. It didn't disappoint. The recliner chairs are super comfy, they're heated too! So Lux. The kiosk, for whatever reason, wouldn't print our ticket so we had to get the person at the counter to print our tickets for us. We didn't order food this time, but we usually like to get popcorn, so we'll have to try out their food next time we come. The theater was a good temperature. We almost always bring a light sweater or hoodie just incase it gets cold and it usually does. The rest of the facility is pretty cool. They have an arcade and bumper cars, a suspended playground and skeeball. Bowling too, of course. Check it out, you'd be surprised. $10 for a movie isn't bad. read more

I asked kindly if he could put me next sine I had waited 3 hours and he told me that we would be on the end of the line and giggled when I told him no thanks. Would love to say I have experienced this place as it looks cool but my interaction with them has been nothing short of ridiculous - Made an online reservation this morning at 8:30 AM for two lanes at 2 PM with some friends. By 10:30 AM my wife was running a fever of over 100 - obviously, trying to be a responsible person, I called them to tell them what was going on, assuming they didn't want myself or any of my family who had potentially been exposed to my Wife, we haven't yet been able to get a COVID test yet since places are closed due to the weather, but generally guidelines say that if you or someone you live with has a fever that you should not be exposing yourself to others. George, the manager that answered, told me that it says online that they do not offer refunds for bookings. I told him that I was aware of the policy but that generally these days businesses make exceptions on things in the interest of public health. He told me that regardless of the reason he would not be refunding my $200. I understand policies, but exceptions can always be made. This is pretty awful customer service and even more importantly horribly irresponsible on the part of this company. They are more or less incentivizing people to go ahead and come in so that they aren't just out money. Won't be supporting this company or any of their PinStack locations also owned by Entertainment Properties Group Inc. Beware, don't make reservations online at these places because god forbid something comes up and clearly their staff doesn't know the definition of decency. read more

We went here on a random Thursday and unfortunately it was the same week of spring break. They searched our purse which was kinda different when you think of going to see a movie or bowling. I guess in this world some would see that as proactive. The theatre seats were clean and comfy, but the service was terribly delayed. The food, when. It did come, was cold. There was no soap in the bathroom, no paper towels, and I had to give the lady in the stall next to me toilet paper from my stall. The place has potential perhaps with a really good management staff. Hello!! Today, I went here on a field trip and there was both pros and cons. Pros being I absolutely loved the games and bumper cars! It was a lot of fun! But on the other hand the customer service was awful. I needed a refund for my cash when I tried to refuel my points and the lady very rudely rolled Her eyes and was like "did you not see that it said no refunds????" And I didn't know what to say because if there was no refunds then why was there a refund button??? Right before her this man was like " ughh Tecs can't do refunds" and just walked away. If you want a fun time, just go to PinStack. Strike and reel is basically the exact same but more expensive with worse service. There are similarities everywhere you look. The only noticeable difference was the theater aspect of it. The arcade game selection is good, but really annoying because most of the games don't give many tickets. Also, the dining part of strike and reel was a complete mess. From the wait time, to the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. We waited over an hour for one burger and a salad. And the salad came 20 minutes after the burger did. Our server even lied about our food, saying "they are just roasting the bun." Then proceeding to take 30 more minutes to serve us the burger. Love the comfort of their theater and cleanliness. REALLY disappointed with the service. We've ordered ice water with food here before but now we apparently have to order bottled water. This was more frustrating as I had thought free ice water was a requirement by law for any business that serves food. I could be wrong. We also ordered food and an appetizer before the movie. The food came out approximately half way through the 2 hr movie but no appetizer. 3 different employees came to check on us the last hr of the movie. We reminded them of the appetizer all 3 times and with 20 minutes left the appetizer arrived... cold. I'm giving this place 2 stars because of the service (or lack of) we got. It was our first time here and we were seeing a movie. Our theater wasn't open yet so we went to the concession stand and wanted to order drinks. My husband asked what their seasonal rotating beer was and they looked at him like he had 3 heads. They had no clue what he was talking about. No big deal, he ordered a different beer. Instead of handing them to us, they said our server has to bring them to us in the theater. We were confused by that but went and sat down in the lobby waiting for our theater to open. We get in the theater and we order our food before the movie even started. 30-45 minutes go by, and we don't have our food. We noticed everyone else around us were receiving their orders. So now I'm getting pissed. We pressed the call button and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come. It was a different server than the one who initially took our order and we asked what's up with our orders. She said she would go check and never came back. The movie ends and we're pretty peeved. We went to the concession stand and told them what happened and no one gave us an apology, discount etc. We wouldn't have asked for any of those things because we're not those types of people but an apology would've been nice. Then, we tried to purchase game cards for the arcade and none of the machines were working. Apparently their WiFi was down and that's why the card readers weren't working. I get that technical glitches happens but it was shitty timing for us since we did not have a great experience with our lack of service beforehand. I will say the theater was nice and the chairs were super comfortable. But they seriously need to train their staff to be more prompt and professional. read more

We called management over to see and tried to return our drinks and she insisted and gave every excuse in the dictionary. She said the glasses were washed in a dishwasher. So what! Beware of thieves at this establishment. Went for the first time on a Saturday evening for a movie and dinner date with my wife. We had high hopes for this place as it looked very full. I spent about $150 there not including the movie tickets. Monday morning I woke up to a notification showing that a transaction at the bar had been updated to include a $50 tip that I had never left. That was way more than I even spent at the bar! Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the help they hire at this place and won't be returning due to management's lack of judgment with the people they hire. Alrighty then. Here we go. There are so many parts to this one event space it really has to be broken down. Eh weather on Sat night 7pm- parking lot is PACKED! But we found a decent spot in the well lit parking lot. You walk in and everything g is just right there. We stepped up to the I formation desk to get our bearings. Nice fellow out of the quad of people was super helpful in breaking it down for us. Moves, food, bowling and arcade room. We decided to get on the 50 minute waitlist to eat in the food area. Then ordered drinks in the bar area. Strict measured pours- not exactly overwhelming buzz pours. The prices are high IMO for the pour and sized of drink. The bar was rocking and I think we were even served by the bar manager. No two drinks were made the same. :/ Next we headed to bowling area... FOUR HOUR WAIT for a lane at $36/hour...nope to the four hour wait and definitely NO to $36/hour charge.... On to the arcade... it's like a mini version of another well known chain- however we enjoyed with lots and lots of people and activity it didn't feel like a Vegas Casino ( which I appreciated). Plenty of fun. Some of the games were finicky just like other places but the staff were helpful and eventually I realized I just needed to stop playing those. There is all kind of game: pinball, skeeball and variants, interactive shoot em ups etc. All based on a card and points purchased. We walked around a bit to see what the "prices" were before we bought a $20 card.not gonna lie- I was a little addicted to some of the games and did reload the card. Over all it was great fun. Dinner...the hour went by quickly and we got our table. This is definitely where things fell apart. We were sat but the waiter never stopped by. My guy had his beer I had nothing. After about 15 minutes a manager stopped by (james- lower case from Cali) stopped by got me a water and shared our order with our waiter who still hadn't stopped by. Another 15 minutes passed by and we were told our food would be out in about 5 minutes ( and 27 seconds lol). It came out... the Epic Fries and the Big as Texas burger. Epic fries were mostly an epic failure. Plenty of potatoes as advertised. But the sweet potatoes were fried to a crisp, there were no tots, fried jalapeños or bacon ( as advertised). The brisket was sparse and very over salted. We updated the manager on the sitch but never really got what we ordered. The Big as Texas burger was definitely big! The meat was flavorful and the bun a nice soft sourdough. It had the fried jalapeños and onion rings ( also fairly burnt) and came with the tots. The burger was good. My water ran empty and was never refilled in the hour we sat there. The waiter stopped by once to say hey and didn't see him again. james- lowercase did adjust the fries but it was still kinda ridiculous pricing. The only other time we saw the waiter was when he dropped the check and snatched it away just about as soon as we'd put the card in. Overall opportunity 5 This experience 2.5 Will be a great venue for the North Garland once they figure it out. Beautiful building.... I've been several times for lunch and everything has been great - stacked nachos, chicken quesadilla, black + blue burger (delicious and juicy!!), Cuban panini (loved it), chopped wedge (way easier to eat than an actual wedge). The staff is super friendly. The theatre seats are SUPER comfy and the game room is MASSIVE!!! Bumper cars, rock climbing, laser tag, an elevated ropes course, pretty much every game you could ever want to play. I haven't been able to check out their lanes much, but definitely would go back for that. read more
