My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

It's a cool restaurant that has a lot of seating, and cool decor with Guitars displayed on the wall and a small stage for performers. We walked up to where you order. It was counter service and the guy that took our order was laid back. We paid, he gave us a number and then we chose a place to sit and waited for our food. We ordered several items to share. We started off with a charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and toasted bread. It was really good. The bread was able to hold the ingredients and was nice and crispy but not overly crispy. The meats were good and the different cheeses were flavorful with different textures. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.

For entrees I ordered their braised short rib. I am a short rib snob, so believe me when I tell you that this was the best short rib I ever had. For dessert, I had the Tres Leches, which was amazing! The service was also on point, and the interior decorations were quite beautiful. An amazing restaurant that deserves more than only five stars! I can't recommend it highly enough!!!

My wife and I decided to only share some starters since we wanted to try a little bit of everything. The fried cheese taquenos were very nice and kind of had a sweet flavor we really enjoyed. The chicken tinga empanadas had smoky and bold flavor to them the green sauce on the side made them taste even better. The quesobirria tacos were good but were not great. Have had better and would probably opt to try something else next time. The ceviche caribeno was top tier. One of the best ceviches I've had that I can remember. It's a little pricey but at least it was worth it. Would love to come back and try some entrees.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.
