First time here. The theatre is nice! Clean. Staff is friendly. We ordered fried pickle spears. The best! Ordered the Watermelon margarita, so tasty! Seating reclines & is comfortable! Great experience!

I haven't been to an Alamo Drafthouse in Y E A R S but just will say, this is not the environment I am looking for EVEN when I come in to simply enjoy a draft. Alex at the bar was nice. He entertained me with conversation. But the reality, the dynamic between everyone working reassured me to not come back. The man pictured offered nothing bad energy whilst standing around the bar. He demanded things. Offered rude commentary without request. And didn't seem to enjoy, in any sense, being here. Now let me get back to the food, drinks, and service. The 512 Pecan Porter treated me more than well! And the chicken cedar wrap!!! My my. Worth the price because this thing is ginormous! The food and drink are great! If you're a service person? Don't come to enjoy yourself at the bar before hand. You'll end up questioning your choice in venue. I won't be back. And it is solely because the service team wasn't together. They weren't a team. I felt the anger. I felt the frustration. I felt the resentment. I saw the pow wows around the corner where they held private dialogue about situation after situation. And it was unsettling. Thanks for a great beer and tasty wrap! And good luck keeping people coming back. The team work is there. But it's clear that it is provided with resentment. Why would anyone want to feel that? Not me after a 10 hour shift looking for good eats and a cold beer.

This location is very clean and comfortable. The only con was as great as the service was for my neighbors it seemed almost a one star Rating for our order. It was overlooked during our entire film service, and we were even brought others orders 2x. Thankfully, the service at the bar was exceptional!

    Empty promises at Alamo.

Showed up early to a special movie for a great party movie & bam waiter is too much. Speaks too fast, makes one suggestion on beer & shoves menu at us. Says look. Fine, no problem but just rude. Literally only 2 other tables on a Tuesday. Love the Alamo Drafthouse hated this experience.

    Hallway to the theaters.

Here's the deal- Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has some great things going for it. If you want a more elevated movie going experience geared towards cinephiles, it's pretty good- think quote-a-longs, signature programming, brunch shows, etc...it's a fun experience. The disappointing part is the food. I've been here many times over the years and ordered different things off the menu, but there is a consistent thread here... It's too much. Too salty, too greasy, too heavy. It's junk food. This most recent time I had the queso and chips. It was bad. The chips are your standard over-salted chips. Not made in house-just chips saturated in salt and queso that's salty. I also ordered a Mexican Vanilla Shake and that too suffered from "too much". The culprit was too much cinnamon. I barely got through a quarter of the shake before I threw in the towel. There is no restraint here. No subtlety. The service though, has always been friendly. Another thing about this location is the icky smell of musty carpets. This site needs a deep cleaning. When you walk in, you can easily smell it, and it's an unappealing precursor to the greasy food. I want to love Alamo Drafthouse, but considering the food is too...everything and the smell of ick hangs in the air- I will probably still come here anyway because it's just what we've done from time to time. The movie selections are good, and I appreciate them having low tolerance for taking, texting ,etc...but this place needs an overhaul of the food and a deep clean.

    It's Turtle Time!

The updated theaters look nice, the new carpet is well received. I can't wait to see what they put in the lobby.

Ask the Community - Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Richardson

How much does a ticket cost?

For an adult evening showing, online purchase is 11.50 plus 1.59 convenience fee. Matinee is $6.50 and then I think Tuesdays are $5 all day. I think convenience fee applies to all, not sure if that's just online purchases or in person purchases.

The movie theater is like AMC and studio movie grill mixed together, but add in a throwback 90s feel into it.

Adult oriented review…read more... Having been an open and active swinger every minute of my adult life, I check out as many swingers "lifestyle" clubs as I possibly can. I love seeing how different clubs in different cities set themselves up. Plus, any excuse to meet new people and play with them is a good reason. My wife had some business things to handle via zoom in the hotel room so I went over to this club myself. I had just visited the one in New Orleans a few days earlier and was excited to check this one out. Of course, there is always the waivers, fees and check in stuff when new at any club. As a single female for the night, they definitely streamlined the process. Single, attractive women that swing are treated like royalty at swing clubs. This club was no different. Once was inside, having forgotten to bring anything to drink, as this club was byob, I found myself alcohol deficient. I had to barter for drinks and had fun making trades. If you get my meaning. I found this club fun, clean and had plenty of attractive, fun and play minded men and women. The staff were all pleasant and I saw nobody pushing nor violating the rules. There was a good mix of ages from mid twenties to people in their sixties. Nobody pressured me nor made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I found four like minded women and really enjoyed their company. I only stayed for about three hours but I really enjoyed it. If I lived in the Dallas area, I'd certainly be a member and spend my Saturday nights there. If swinging is your thing or you just like to watch and enjoy the vibe, this club is for you.

There are a variety of games- PacMan, a foosball like hockey game, racing games, pinball, frogger, shooting games, old classics like Fix-it-Felix, DDR, shooting hoops, skee ball and more! It's relatively clean and employees come help is something is glitchy or a ball is stuck in the basketball game, for example. They play music at an appropriate volume (this place is way less deafening than cidercade, and less crowded too!). I've never had food/ alcohol here so can't speak to that. It's definitely a great place to go, especially with a buddy, to get competitive and just unwind a little! My only complaint- the arrows in DDR are not very sensitive and tend to stick a little on their machines. It's very hard to adjust the initial difficulty level because the DOWN arrow on both sides of their machine is so not-receptive to touch you have to jump on it with intense force to move it from basic to more difficult. I'm actually pretty good at DDR and kept getting BOOS from arrows I was hitting. So just don't come here specifically for a DDR marathon and you won't be disappointed. Everything else was in good working order!

I visited on Father's Day, and dads got in free, which made for a great bonus…read more If you enjoy classic arcade games, this place is well worth a visit. For about $13, you get unlimited free play all day, making it an excellent value. The arcade is a little smaller than some of the other Free Play locations, but it's packed with classic games from the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s, along with a nice selection of pinball machines. There's a full-service bar and food menu. I didn't try the food, but the drinks were reasonably priced. My only complaint is that there aren't many places to set down a drink while playing, so it can feel a bit cramped when it's busy. The arcade is tucked away in an older shopping center, so it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Even with the Father's Day crowd, the staff stayed busy while remaining friendly and the restrooms were clean. Overall, it's a fun and affordable place to spend a few hours, whether you're reliving your childhood or introducing someone else to classic arcade games.
