Jason was great to work with- super responsive. With in an hour he called and we were working on an estimate to trim 2 trees and remove an over grown bush. They came did the work while I was at work. The best company! After a huge tree fell on a fence during one of our storms, they came out and left an estimate in a mailbox. It was much easier than having to deal with everyone else who wanted a phone number and a person to meet them. One other service just straight up didn't show up. Another guy didn't even provide his name and kept badgering me. Both Mr. Stringfellow and Jason answer the phone right away. Jason provided excellent customer service from the get-go. He answered all my questions and came out the next business day after our call. His team removed the tree and other damage, fixed the fence and removed misc wood for a reasonable price. Let me start of my review by providing insight into why I have given this company 5 stars. I have owned and operated three businesses in the past, one of them as a successful general contracting company. Many of you reading this will never have to experience the pressures and time invested in order to meet customer expectations, securing and retaining employees, and avoiding accidents daily. And on top of all that, social media and the internet make it nearly impossible to gain, and maintain a 5 star rating. I start with this, because I am probably more difficult to get 5 stars from, then others. I understand what it takes, and I expect for the people that I hire to meet my expectations. Many do not, but Stringfellow's Tree Service not only met my expectations, they exceeded them! They showed up to provide me with the requested estimate, and we came to an agreement on the spot. I was provided with their insurance information on the spot, and a two-step plan/estimate for taking down my three trees, and grinding out the stumps. I left right after they arrived, within 30 minutes of our agreement, and when I returned home hours later. There was no sign in the street, or my yard, that that the trees had even come down; that's how well they cleaned up the site. I was contacted that evening regarding the first payment, but was not prompted to provide the credit card number. They were to return sometime the following week to remove the stumps, but instead contacted me Sunday morning (the day after) to tell me that it would be ideal to get the work completed while the ground was frozen. The intent was not to tear up all of my back yard due to the thaw and mud. They arrived late morning, and had the job 100% wrapped up within an hour. Once again, they left yeh property in excellent condition. As a side note, my neighbor hired them on the spot, when they finished my work, to do some tree trimming and clean up. So here's my plug. This is a tough business to run, and you work stupid hours seven days a week. The owner is a hard working guy, is on the job, and is doing everything he can to maintain his 5 star rating. In my opinion, this is a business that you should support, and this is a business that has earned it's 5 star rating. The pricing is fair, and there are no hassles. To me, price is not everything, but if you can get great pricing and great service, there's not too much to think about when it comes time to award a job to a contractor. read more

We had a very small job - removal of a single limb from our roof. We didn't know if there was roof damage, so it was important to have it checked out. Stringfellow's was willing to check out the roof while removing the limb, and at a very reasonable price. They cleaned up the debris from the job, too. We will probably have them back to take out a bunch more limbs before they fall, too. I called Stringfellow on Friday morning, May 9, 2020. Michael was on his way to my property. He provided an estimate and promised if we get a lower estimate, he would match. Well, he did. They did a hell of wonderful job on Saturday morning with a whole crew of 11 peopel. By 3:00 PM, the yards (front and back) were taken care of. The old ugly tree was gone, all the stumps grounded and taken away. By mistake, there was a stump left on the front yard. We called them. They took care of it first thing on Monday. They weren't able to grind the stump on the day they took the tree down, but they kept in touch and told me exactly when they could come by (which was soon after). They responded to our request for an estimate the same day. They then came out and walked the property to give a free estimate for everything we needed. We wanted 3 trees removed, 2 bushes cut back and then they recommended cutting the lowest branches of a tree in our yard to help it grow better. The estimate was very reasonable and in line with our research. We hired them for the work on the spot, and it was completed within hours of their initial visit. The crew worked quickly and and safely. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. One of the owners even got a leaf blower and made sure the remaining debris was off of our property. The attention to detail was amazing and the trees and bushes they shaped look so happy! They will return soon to take out the stumps for the ones they removed. These guys approached us unsolicited after doing a small job for our neighbor across street. As it happened, we needed some work and had just been procrastinating in hiring anyone. Jason the sales guy was knowledgable, persuasive, and worked with us on price. His sizable and efficient crew took out a dead tree, crowned an overgrown Bradford pear tree, ground down some stumps, trimmed a thick and overgrown patch of Rose of Sharon, and tidied up a few odds and ends. They did a fine cleanup after themselves. All for a price that seemed fair. Owner was on-site overseeing work much of the time. I am a pretty tough grader and almost never award 5 stars since perfection us so hard to achieve. For that reason I'd probably give these guys 4.5 stars if Yelp accepted that rating but since it doesn't, I concluded they tipped more toward 5 stars than 4. Good experience. After being stood up three times by another tree service, we called Stringfellow's at the suggestion of a friend who had used them. They gave us an estimate the same day, and made an appointment for the next day. They were going to arrive just a little later than scheduled and they texted to let us know. They arrived and took the tree down efficiently, without harming the closeby fence and neighbor's house, and cleaned up everything. We also had a small partially dead dogwood which I asked them about trimming. They explained that the tree was too far gone, gave a reasonable estimate and cut it down.
