I like Strizzi's. We've been to 3 locations. All completely different atmospheres. Livermore was more fun as we sat outside in the COVID parked. Enjoyed lovely wine from The First Street Wine Shop next door and the business owners worked together to spread the business around. Owner of the wine shop suggested Strizzi's and even brought a server over for us. The smell of garlic roasting was driving me crazy. A smell you can literally taste and I couldn't wait to find out what it was. Ordered the obvious, cheesy garlic bread...where's the garlic??? Sad. Appetizer meatballs had nice flavor but were lukewarm and not appealing. Warm bread, yummy butter and tasty lasagne saved the meal. I was a bit worried after reading some recent reviews, but was in the mood for pasta, and love downtown. I was not disappointed at all! Our server, Anthony? I haven't eaten here in years but decided to give it a try for lunch. Was surprised how expensive it was considering the portion size ($25 for a cob salad with a few shrimp on it, it was more the size of a side salad). The lettuce was wilted and not very good. The waitress was rude (asked twice for a side of dressing and didn't get it till my salad was almost done). She never refilled drinks and when I asked the second time she came back and aggressively put it on the table in front of the other person without even making eye contact. I have no idea what warranted the rudeness, as we weren't being difficult. Won't be going back as I didn't feel the meal was worth it and didn't appreciate the lack of hospitality from our server. Plenty of other options in DT. Gave an extra star bc my friend liked her dish but that is where it ended. read more

I really struggled as to whether to give this place two stars or three. We waited an hour for our food. My husband's seafood dish was in a weird oil liquid (think more like soup even though it wasn't soup) and my husband, who can literally eat anything, could not even take a second bite. The salad was over dressed and the whole experience was unremarkable. The only reason I am giving this three stars instead of two is that the restaurant responded appropriately when we complained by not charging us for our meals. read more

We just left this restaurant after waiting 20 Minutes at our table with no service. We sat down and we were never acknowledged, never even received a water. The service here was the best part if my visit. We started with a Caesar wedge salad on the specials menu which was pretty good with the fried panchetta. We also ordered the friend calamari which was bland. It was helped out with some salt and lemon juice that I asked for. The sauce that came with them was good but would prefer the calamari to have flavor on their own. They were tender though. I ordered sausage fettuccine with meat sauce. Didn't realize meat sauce was literally just meat. Asked for some marinara. Made it better but still just meh. The sausage was good though. What made it bad was that the mushrooms on my plate weren't even close to cooked (see attached picture). All said and done, gladd I had a gift card to help offset the cost of this medicore establishment. Won't return. But prefer and will still visit Rigatoni's. read more

Strizzi's is a nice little bistro with good Italian food. My family and I have gathered here for lunch a few times. The restaurant is conveniently located at the thoroughfare of Livermore. The interior is well decorated. I have tried the Spaghetti with meatballs which I found pleasing. The portion size was substantial. I also liked that the Roasted walnut chicken salad was not overly drenched in dressing. Gotta love the bleu cheese crumbles on top. The other members would order a range of other dishes and they all enjoyed their food. Sometimes, it's not so easy dining out with children but the servers we have had were very accommodating and patient. The only thing is that I wish it was easier to get a table here. Still, this is a cool place to try if you are ever in the downtown area. read more

Went to this location, and my husband and I were not that hungry. I then remember I had a coupon for $15.00 for my birthday. So we decided to spilt a dish. So we went an ordered the burger and at the time of ordering, I gave the lady my coupon. When she brought back the order the hamburger was the size of McDonalds hamburger you get in a happy meal. I bet it was because of the coupon. This is the second time that something like this happened, I believe it was because I had a coupon. The first time we where over charge. The place could do with some cleaning. Slow service. My advise do not go there with a coupon they send you via email. It's worth the hassle read more

We were a group of 8 with reservations. We were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. But after we received our appetizers and side salads it's seems that things went downhill. Nobody refilling our waters, checking in on us. They brought out a extra data that nobody ordered and totally forgot an order. We had to ask for that extra pasta back so he could eat with us and then they brought out the missing salmon as we were all done. Instead of apologizing or the manager coming to us, we also had to ask for the missed entree to be removed from our bill. The food was definitely average and nothing I would come back to eat. This place is in the center of Downtown Livermore, bright and comfortable.....we got seated right away.... We ordered the seafood fettucine, shrimp and scallops seared to perfection.... Spaghetti n meatballs, those meatballs are a show itself, so tasty and perfectly made..... Service was great, food was great....we just had to order takeout..... Stopped here after visiting winery in Livermore. Not far of a drive and not hard to find parking nearby. We were greeted and seated right away which was a plus. The customer service is very poor. You have to wait a long long time to get a waiter and the price is too high for mediocre food.

Probably won't return. When we walked in to a near empty restaurant (3 tables sat), the server said he needed to check with his manager if we could be sat. He walked to the bar counter, looked around for a minute or so, then walked back and said he could seat us. He never even talked to anyone! Have you ever had carrot cake without the carrot? I can now unfortunately say I have. I ordered a piece through doordash and, well, take a look at the photo. Listen, people make dumb mistakes all the time. I had a friend who once put salt instead of sugar into a cookie recipe. However, someone served me this cake. You can see the visible difference between carrot cake and whatever this is. I tried a bite just to make sure I wasn't surged a white cake or something by mistake and it was definitely supposed to be carrot- it's got a seriously weird flavor profile without the carrot and absolutely no moisture because it's supposed to get moisture from the carrot. Again, my issue isn't the flubbed recipe, it's that someone made the choice- after seeing that the carrot was clearly missing- to serve this to me. read more

The location is very good, right in the middle of Livermore downtown but the Italian food they are offering is not upto the mark compared to other similar Italian places I have tried. We were in Livermore Friday, November 8th with my young grandchildren to see a play at the Bankhead. I chose Strizzi because it was nearby and the menu looked good. When we arrived, a member of the waitstaff sat us and gave us menus, then completely ignored us. After 20 minutes, they'd sat and taken orders for 5 other tables, and didn't even bother to bring us water. By that time, it was too late to find another restaurant and the play lasted until 10, so we really needed to eat. I walked up to the manager, and he pretended he didn't know we hadn't been helped, but instead of instructing the staff to help us, he said he would help us himself (along with doing his duties). It took another 5 minutes to bring us water, and then I insisted he take our order. I told him we were going to a play and needed to eat and leave. He brought us bread, but when the food arrived, they just piled it amongst the no longer needed bread plates instead of removing them, making the table very crowded. No one checked to see if we were okay during our meal, while stopping to chit chat with the other tables, bring them things and make sure they had every thing they needed. It was as if we were vermin. I had to stop a wait person to get our check, and he rushed over to the manager who had been helping us to take care of it. The manager took the price of our drinks off the bill, since we'd 'waited so long for service'----not nearly enough of an apology in my estimation. I paid and we left. My tween and teen granddaughters were dumbfounded. They recognized exactly what was going on, it was so very blatant. I shall never eat there again. read more

I came in for a gender reveal party with 20 or so people. The Inside is small and inviting. Despite the large group, the server was quick and attentive, all of our food managed to come out at the same time, impressive! Everyone has positive things to say about the food, but my favorites are listed below: Artichoke dip appetizer - literally heavenly, must try! We hired Strizzi's to cater our wedding just a few weeks ago and they were fantastic! Lillian, the catering manager, was so sweet to work with. When we had our call a few weeks before our wedding she really eased my mind of concerns I had (as a bride does a few weeks out from the wedding) to do with timing, clean up, etc. Lillian and her team went above and beyond with the service the provided for set up/clean up at our wedding. Everyone complimented the pasta bar and we were still left with plenty of food after the wedding ( 8 trays to be exact) which was great because I have seen weddings where they run out of food, I was very happy to not be one of those! They are quick to respond, the menu options were great and very customizable if you need options with no meat or you don't want it all pasta they have you covered. Was also easily able to add on an appetizer for cocktail hour which they arrived and made sure was ready to go by the time it started! I had not been here in about a year, (I used to come semi-regularly and we have celebrated numerous special occasions here) but was disappointed today and not sure if I would go back. We selected items from the "early bird" menu (before 6pm) which was an entree and soup. Ordered the clam chowder soup then the spaghetti and meatballs. I felt the soup was served warm, not hot and the meatballs were disappointing (seemed store bought.) The portion was a good size but just lacked flavor and service was spotty/slow. Tried to make a reservation for Mother's Day and the young lady placed me on hold for over 9 minutes just to get the list for Mother's Day and see if there are any openings. Had my wife call the same number and they answered right away. Explained that I was still on hold on the other line over 9 minutes waiting. The other young lady told our reservation request and number of our party for Mother's Day and would give us a call back shortly. That was over 2 hours ago. In one word bad. Service was extremely slow which was shocking because there was barely anyone in there. Put our kids order in first, they had pizza and ravioli which was ok. I had the Alfredo with mushrooms. It came with a free salad because it was the early bird special which I was almost charged extra for because our waitress put it in early and forgot to take off the extra charge. The pasta was really bad. No taste at all. The sauce was super watery and the mushrooms were not even close to being cooked. Whoever cut them has no idea what they are doing. They were all different sizes, so the small ones were almost cooked and the super large ones were raw. I will say the wings my wife ordered were really good.
