At this buffet, they got sushi, Fruit Salad bar, cakes and cookies bar, chocolate fountain for strawberries and marshmallows on wooden skewers to be dipped into the chocolate fountain, they also got beautiful acrylics of fruit jellos and mouse cakes in many different plastic shapes, a variety of appetizer ham bar, all the expensive fried food choices, and all the expensive hot steamed dim sum choices, along with cold food choices such as the cocktail shrimps, cold sashimi salads, and lemon wedges. Also, they got seven different huge rice cookers that holds seven different kinds of soups and rice dishes. They got BBQ pork spare ribs, fried pepper pork chops, fried fish cods, fried colossal shrimps, cha-suey ham, veggie stir fry, beef stir fry, and a huge variety of steamed fishes. Perfect thin stir fry rice noodles, fried egg noodles, fried rice, and all kinds of fried tempuras. There's hot pot noodle soup here with 4 different soup broths to choose from: (1.) Masala (2.) Tom Yum (3.) Tomatoes (4.) Beef Bone Broth. For noodle toppings or main dishes stir fry station, they have more than 27 ingredients to choose from. There's thinly sliced pork, thinly sliced beef, thinly sliced lamb, thinly sliced beef tripes, thinly sliced tilapias, thinly sliced chicken, quail eggs, lobster balls, pho beef balls, fish ball with brown sweet fillings, fish cakes, fried tofus, raw shrimps, and imitation crab chunks. red bell pepper slices, onion slices, thinly sliced mushrooms, fresh bean sprouts , yellow egg ramen noodles, clear vermicelli noodles, Korean yam potatoes noodles, thin pho rice noodles, green spinach, Chinese broccoli, cabbage, diced cilantro, and diced green onions. To the right side of the noodles station is the stir fry chow mein noodles and fried rice station. Here, they got lots of good brand bottled drinks to try and to choose. I like this place. I have returned to eat at this place many times, five times so far, and love the consistency of the delicious foods and drinks here. Pretty solid buffet and all you can eat for 90 minutes! Family enjoyed eating here :) Didn't need to make reservations or wait long on a Sunday around 4pm. 4pm until closing is dinner time (40 a person) and I think that's when they have all that seafood out! If you want a lobster tail it's an additional 6 bucks per person. Senior citizens 65+ get 10% off and you can eat for free if it's your birthday. I like that they also allow a range of 2 days before and 2 days after your birthday to give a window time to come eat for free. They got a good variety of food ranging from sushi, Chinese food, seafood, malatang and desserts! Sushi was decent for buffet sushi and I like that they serve rolls, nigiri and even sashimi. You can see the workers slicing them up live. The seafood was good and was often replenished since everyone and their mamas be grabbing half the tray. Decent Chinese food like noodles, fried rice, dim sum, meat, etc.. I didn't try their malatang but I'm curious how the broth and flavor are. I also like how you can get free drinks from their machine and to the right of it is free refrigerated water bottles and this half cup Asian drink with white fungus. The food is not good! To the point we felt sick afterwards. Not trying to be mean but I gave them a shot even though my lady was skeptical. I should've listened and stay away from this place. The service is non existent for the most part. I mean it's a buffet so you kind of do everything yourself. They have alot of options but again it wasn't good. The place is really busy which is surprising but than again I've been to spot people say are good and I'm like "that's crazy". Flies are everywhere. I got to enjoy lunch with my family here for my birthday today and I was extremely happy. Did you know birthday people get to eat for free? That pleased me. But even if I were to pay for myself, I thought the value (for lunch anyway) was very good. This is so much better than the Chinese buffets on my side of the East Bay which encompasses the far east side of Contra Costa County. For one, sashimi being offered as part of the lunch spread is very welcome. Would've been nice if they were a little thicker but it's all you can eat so it's not a huge deal. I like that there was a nice selection of bottled drinks included with the meal and not just the typical fountain. That's rare for me to see. I LOVED the build your own malatang station. I've found that it's starting to be a popular thing with some buffets lately but this is the first time I've had one at a reasonably priced buffet. I love having malatang that I don't have to be conscious of the price by the pound for a change. Desserts were probably the weakest part of the buffet. The ice cream especially was rock hard. Not a huge fan of the tiny ice cream cups that are provided. I much prefer having the option to self scoop ice cream, especially if there's more flavors than just vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I really wanted to try this buffet after eating at daily buffet in Daly city I expected them to be similar, but I actually liked this one a lot better. The layout isn't as open as a lot of other bigger buffet restaurants but this one had all the food laid out in the same area. The dining areas are separated, and I was sat in a kind of hallway that was excluded from other tables and had strong air-conditioning. I felt like the food quality is a lot better here than other buffets. I've tried there were sashimi slices (tuna, tilapia, salmon lemon) which I was surprised about and I loved. I kept going back for those. They were sushi rolls, crab leg. mussels, oysters, shrimps Cajun fish a lot of seafood and for the meat there were dim sum chicken feet and spareribs and chicken wings, cooked salmon, etc. For the veggies. there were eggplants mushrooms, green beans, Chinese veggies, wood ear and they were really good. There was a steak section where you could ask for a slice of steak to be grilled for you there was a mala tang section. and where you can pay $4 extra for a lobster tail. I feel like the presentation here is better than other buffet places. I especially love the black custard bun with the gold stripe on it. The inside was so melted and gooey. It was perfect. The dessert selection isn't too big here so I didn't really get any. There was a chocolate fountain that you could dip strawberries in. The dinner price was around $46 for the weekend which I went to. We were immediately by a gentleman who's either the owner or the manager. He was friendly and courteous, and gave us the lowdown about the dinner service. For weeknights, the price was $39.99 per person. After we paid, he led us to a table near the back. The redesigned interior was charming, and cleanliness was excellent. The dinner buffet consisted of several categories: chilled seafood and appetizers, sushi and sashimi, cooked seafood and Chinese dishes, dim sum, malatang, and dessert. I sampled a good variety of items, and the quality ranged from so‑so to good. On the pro side, I especially enjoyed the steamed abalone, the Cantonese beef stew and offal, and the malatang. They also offered bottled and canned drinks from China, along with milk tea, which was a big plus. On the con side, the sushi and sashimi selection was somewhat limited, and the Chinese dishes were mediocre. Service we received was good. Staff members were polite and helpful. Came here for lunch on a Saturday for the first time. People were already lining outside the door before they opened at 11am. Additional parking in back behind the restaurant. You pay first, then go eat. Various seating areas 1) Lots of variety - sushi and sashimi section, hot chinese food, dim sum and children's favorites, separate seafood variety, custom hot soup where you grab your toppings and select your soup base, dessert section 2) Sometimes the line at the station doesn't move and you're waiting for it to move. This happens during prime time such as at 12 3) A dish does not always get refilled right away during prime time so you need to go back and try again, it's timing and luck 4) Lots of drink variety - bottled drinks, lemonades, bobas 5) Dessert section - small cakes, cookies, fruit - most popular is the chocolate fountain with strawberries or marshallmallow. Normally our family celebrates special occasions at Tomi in SJ, but this time we decided to try something different and came here for my brother's birthday. It was my first time experiencing an all-you-can-eat buffet in Dublin, and I have to say it left a great impression. We went for Sunday lunch, which was priced at $43.99, and I was pleasantly surprised that they included dinner menu items like steak and lobster (They are cooked fresh while you wait). While the lobster wasn't unlimited, you could add one lobster tail for $6, which I thought was a reasonable option. One of the highlights for me was the hotpot station--it was actually my first time ever seeing hotpot offered at an AYCE buffet, and it made the experience feel more unique and interactive. I also really appreciated the self-serve beverage machine, which made it super convenient to refill drinks whenever we wanted. On top of that, they had a selection of bottled drinks in the fridge, and even milk tea, which was a nice bonus you don't usually see at buffets. As for the food, there was a wide variety to choose from. I especially enjoyed the steak, which was flavorful and cooked well, along with the sushi and seafood options. On Sundays, all-day price is pretty steep at $40 (10% discount for seniors). Food is good, with lots of variety, but I'd recommend going for weekday lunch when it's less expensive. For Sunday, they did have raw oysters, a fresh-made steak station, steamed fish, salmon, sushi, and lots of hot food. They also have a variety of drinks (bottled drinks, soda, tea, etc) available with the price. I thought dessert was a bit lacking, with lack of fresh fruits and more pre-made desserts, but they do have a chocolate fondue fountain. Seven months since our first visit, we decided to give East Bay Buffet another try. We had read in many reviews that some adjustments had been made to improve the traffic flow and guest experience. We were greeted at the register. I told the cashier that we were both seniors. They have a generous 25% discount for seniors over age 65 on Tuesday evening. Her co-worker asked to see IDs which we gladly provided. Once we paid, we were taken to a table. We put down our jackets and headed for the food. At buffets, I always like to walk the entire food line before I even take a plate. Where I really noticed a difference was two electric steam tables placed against a wall where there were eight dishes to choose from. In general, the food lines were clean. Employees kept going by and stirring up the food, so everything looked fresh. The hot dishes were hot, and the cold seafood was chilled on ice. We didn't try the Malatangs. Some of the dishes that I tried were very good. Some were not as good. We found that some of the shrimp dishes were overcooked. It seemed that the dishes that were supposed to have some heat to them were flavored with jalapeno peppers, in other words, very one note. We did not try any of the sushi. We are sushi snobs and prefer sashimi over all the fancy rolls that people like to order. What I look for in an Asian Buffet is good, hot food. If I can get won ton, hot & sour soup, deep fried chicken wings and deep fried fish, I'm usually a happy camper. East Bay Buffet offered numerous shrimp dishes which made so much happier. Staff was efficient in checking on our satisfaction and removing empty dishes. We ate our fill and left before our 90 minutes of dining time ran out. On the way home, I started to get the gurgles. While I did not feel sick, I was on the porcelain throne more than I was off for the next four hours. The four dishes that I tried that she didn't have were the raw oysters, peel 'n eat shrimp, cold crab and wakame salad. Doing a little research, I believe that the culprit was the raw oysters that I consumed. Symptoms usually show up within four hours of consumption. I also found a FDA warning, dated April 22nd against consuming raw oysters harvested between March 22 and April 9 from Gomez Shellfish in Washington State. I don't know where East Bay Buffet gets their oysters from and I won't blame them for my symptoms, however, if I ever return, you can bet I will not be eating any raw oysters here. The selection of the appetizers, sushi and entrees were fresh and quite delicious. The salmon was on the dry side. I should have grabbed some lemon wedges for a little zing and moisture to enhance the flavor of the salmon. My male companion enjoyed the hot 'n sour soup and clam chowder. I decided to have the seafood soup, which was a mistake. It was loaded with MSG. I should have chosen the hot 'n sour soup or the clam chowder soup. My second plate was siu mai, potstickers, shrimp with cocktail sauce, mango pudding and orange jello. Beverages were raspberry tea and mango lemonade. I was too full to get some tiramisu and ice cream. Service was fine. The employees worked quickly to gather the plates once we were through eating. Return visit? What I like about this place is that it's clean and they're really good about keeping the food stocked. Nothing felt like it was sitting out too long. We finally have a buffet back i town. Have been here twice, the first time we went on a Thursday evening, it was not busy at all. We had access to all the food. We sampled their sushi, crab legs, their dim sum and the hot seafood section. Sushi offerings included sashimi and rolls. No fishy smells from the raw fish. The snow crabs legs were sweet, even my picky teenager who never eat crab went back for seconds. loved that black bean clams and they had unlimited amount of crab boil and crawfish. Finally had a chance to try this place. The place is pretty big for a buffet. So I'm not surprised by the price. There are some sushi area, regular chinese food area, dimsum area, fried food area , hot pot area, seafood area, dessert area and drinks and ice cream area. My sister and I dined for dinner. We opted for the lobster at $4 each. The cashier will give you a ticket to redeem the lobster. You pick up the lobster next to the Mongolian station. The lobster was a decent size for the price. It was just OK for us. It was served lukewarm. I wish they had butter to dip it in versus their own sauce. The buffet stations were smaller than I expected. There were plenty of seafood available. The dim sum were good. The Asian food were a hit or miss. They were either too salty or no flavor. We had a really good time here overall. The seated seafood selection is the star of the show - fresh oysters, white crab, and a wide variety of sashimi that definitely felt a step above a typical buffet. For an extra $4, you can add a lobster tail, which is a nice bonus. Ours was a bit overcooked, but still enjoyable. Sushi was fine, though a little rice-heavy. One thing I genuinely loved was the mala tang station. You pick your own ingredients and they cook it right in front of you - fresh, interactive, and a fun change from the usual buffet setup. By the way, you can also get yourself a fresh steak cooked, same station with the lobster tail. The space itself is big and nicely done, with multiple dining halls and even a large TV in one area, which is great if you're trying to catch a game while eating. Everything felt clean, including the plastic cups, although the strong chlorine smell made them impossible to drink from. A couple of things hold it back from being a higher-end experience. Kids running around the buffet and food stations while parents are eating or watching TV really needs better control. And at just over $50 per person with the lobster, the price sets expectations for a more polished, restaurant-level experience. Service was pretty good, especially if you're tipping a bit in advance. Came on a Saturday at 11:30 am to celebrate a birthday and was seated immediately even with a big party! Their birthday discount is 2 days before and after the actual date which is great! The inside is very nice and clean compared to other buffets. This buffet is very unique, featuring a malatang bar, free drinks, seafood boil, and free desserts, which are all faves for many people these days! The chocolate fountain is also a nice and fun addition! It was a plus that all the desserts and drinks were individually packaged so you don't have to worry about sanitary issues. Besides the stand-outs, the variety of food is like a typical buffet, which is great because there's something for everybody! There is parking in the front and in the back. We walked in on a Sunday at 2pm, and we only had wait 20 mins! There was decent parking around the area as well. The interior is very interesting since it's inside a house, but there is plenty of seating. It was my mom's birthday, so she was able to eat free since there were 3 of us also eating with her. They honor the birthday deal within 2 days before and after the birthday. I was amazed by the many options of food! There was a section of seafood, malatang or noodle soup, dim sum, sushi and sashimi, Chinese food, ice cream, Chinese desserts, and desserts! There was even a homemade milk tea, drink station, coffee, and lemonade section. With the birthday deal, it came out to $35.50 for each of us, which was worth it. There is an automatic 8% gratuity or service fee included in the bill as well. Service was great as well, and the bussers were very on top of it. This place was highly reviewed as the best buffet in the bay so I had to give it a try. we came here around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was not that packed which was great. The amount for 5 adults came out to $239 which also included the 8% service fee. The buffet is not that big but it did have a decent amount of seafood varieties so if you're looking for crab legs, oysters, crawfish, mussels, etc then you'll definitely like this place. They also offer lobster tails for an additional $4 however that is only for the weekends. They have a Malatang section which was cool. The broth was okay for a buffet service. They also have a short rib station where you can request them to make it fresh. They have beverages such as regular sodas, tea, milk tea, and then a whole fridge of bottled drinks. Fairly enjoyed this restaurant. We had a chance to finally check out East Bay Buffet in Dublin this past weekend. It's a solid spot if you're looking for a bit of everything. The selection is huge everything (sashimi, seafood, sushi to hot pot and Mongolian Wok, and classic Chinese dishes and dim sum). Not the best, not the worst! I would've rated it a 3/5 stars if it wasn't for the diversity of food options. There's a mala hot pot/noodle station, a sushi station, and your traditional Chinese food station. Other reviews say there was a steak section but didn't see that today during my visit. Their drinks section is also super loaded, and they have a number of ice creams and other dessert options. Food is pretty mid. The seafood isn't super fresh and their meats are pretty dry. We came here for Thanksgiving and the place was crowded & loud. Because it's a holiday, the price was dinner's price all day, which was $39.99 per person. On top of that, there was an 8% service charge per person (basically, it's a tip before you start eating). You pay before you can enter the restaurant.....then tax. It came to about $50 a person. Seating & wait time: We were seated right away. We did not really engage with the staff members. Price: I think it's kinda over priced. Since we paid dinner price, it did not include one lobster per person as indicated by some yelpers Food: The seafood is what I enjoyed most. The shrimp cocktail is specially fresh. The seasoned clams, snails, sashimi, sushi, abalone, and crabs are pretty good. I skipped the dimsum area because the people i went with said it's not your typical dimsum flavors. The hot and sour soup lacks authenticity. The seafood soup was showered with way too much white pepper....it was spicy. I did, however, enjoyed the ginseng soup. I didn't get to try the clam chowder. The steak is so thin, there's no room for medium rare. The beef tripe, pigs feet, and oxtail are fatty but has the wow factor. I wanted to also mention that the sashimi cuts are kids size (mini). They could really cut it more generously. There are a lot of good places to eat in Dublin, that toying with our plates might cost you to lose customers to other businesses because of this simple mistake. It's just a word of advice to keep your business going. The drinks selection are endless. They have all different kinds of tea in bottles, Milk teas, Coffee, Soda, Red bean with tapioca, Taro with tapioca, some jelly drinks, and ice cream. Great selection. I also enjoyed the dessert area. I loved the Tiramisu, Japanese cheesecake, and the chocolate fountain, but really not a whole lot of items, but enough. The Malatang is made to order - it's very flavorful ------you have to try it. I love a good buffet, and Easy Bay certainly qualifies. This is not your typical dingy, low-budget buffet; it's clean, well lit, and very modern. In the end, of course, it's all about the food -- and East Bay delivers. The sushi was really solid; in fact, I probably could've just eaten sushi. But, I decided to diversify. Other highlights included the salt and pepper prawns, as well as the cooked-to-order malatang. The drink options here are crazy, as well, with all sorts of canned and bottled beverages, juices, and milk tea. In terms of price, I consider $28 reasonable. I haven't been to a buffet buffet in years, even before Covid. It was nice seeing hot food out in the open again like the good old days. This buffet had a huge variety of different cuisines from sushi, chinese food, crab legs, build your own mala bowl, dim sum, and even cooked to order steaks! I really wanted to love this place because the selection is huge, but the taste just didn't live up to the hype. While the spread looks impressive, many of the dishes were surprisingly too oily or just heavy on MSG. The hot food felt like it had been sitting out too long; the fried items were soggy and some of the meats were pretty tough and dry. Even the seafood, which should be the star, tasted a bit watered down and lacked that fresh hit you'd expect for the price point. I was genuinely looking forward to having a good buffet restaurant nearby, but unfortunately this newly opened one was very disappointing. The food pickup area is extremely small, with very limited selection, and the food quality and taste were poor. The staff serving the food were not professional--especially the person cutting the sashimi, who clearly didn't seem to be a trained sushi chef. The sashimi slices were tiny and inconsistent every time they were served. With a 90-minute all-you-can-eat limit, after going out to get food just twice, we already didn't want to go back because there were so few choices and the food tasted bad.
