Smoked salmon Benedict. Huge amount of food!
    L H.

Quieter than I expected for a Sunday morning. We'd planned to eat at Huckleberries but their doors were chained. Service seems to be fast today, server is super friendly and helpful. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. Huge amount of food (at least for me). Pretty tasty! Smoked salmon, red onions, tomato, capers. I ordered the country potatoes side. Orange juice is fresh squeezed. Mark ordered California (loaded) scramble & hashbrowns (which could've been a little crispier) & side biscuits & gravy, which was a thin white gravy without sausage . Overall, food was fresh & tasty.

Breakfast. Chicken and waffle plate, Peanut butter and banana pancakes.

I've been meaning to leave a review. On the way back from my sisters house (who lives in San Leandro) we stopped at this spot for some breakfast. I was craving the chicken and waffles. My bf got the peanut butter and banana pancakes. Everything was delicious and freshly made. Presentation of food was immaculate. The servers were absolutely wonderful. I loved the way the inside of the cafe looked too. The only thing I would say is I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. Definitely would recommend this place for some yummy food!

I love this place! A great find on Yelp!! (1) Good food, reasonable prices, (2) friendly and prompt service; and a (3) nice, roomy and clean environment will keep me coming back! I'm not a big fan of American breakfasts as the food is typically heavy on the oil and butter, and almost always too salty. BUT NOT at 833 Brick Cafe!! We had a party of 2 and the DENVER Omelette came highly recommended. The server was quick and friendly, got us our water and coffee right away, then took our orders very quickly. Seamless great service! I ordered my omelette on the softer side and it came just that. The ingredients were fresh and tasty (seasoned just enough and not too salty; which is one of my biggest complaints of dining out). And the part that impressed me most is the hash brown--- browned perfectly with a slight crisp, and yet it is not greasy at all! What a delight! We stayed; enjoyed our cups of coffee (free refills!), and sat for a bit while dining... all relaxed in a nice in-rushed environment. Really enjoyed the food, service and ambience here. 5 STARS!

Love love loved it here! It was our anniversary and we decided to check out 833 brick cafe, because you know, yelp said so! Haha We wanted to try a fee things so we got: Meat lovers omelette-- PACKED with meat! Def worth it! Breakfast burrito- had a spinach tortilla and was yummy! Kids egg breakfast- this was honestly a lot for a kids meal and definitely worth the price! Strawberry banana Bwaffle-- ordered with no whip and no butter (though I'm sure it'd be delicious with it!) Biscuits and gravy- these came cut in half and perfect for sharing Overall, we had such a great experience with delicious food! AND ITS SUPER AFFORDABLE! We were shocked that our bill came out to around $55 for all that food. (That was like 2 entrees at another breakfast spot we tried recently )

I really liked the vegetarian omelet it was very good, the "hashbrowns" not so much and the biscuit was old and hard. The day I was there it was quiet the server/host/bartender and all around hardworking guy was cool. But I can't get passed those soggy potatoes they called hashbrowns. I will not be going back.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. The service is great, friendly and attentive. Prices are great considering how big of portions you get.

I almost forgot we had to order first before sitting down lol. I have been on a French Toast kick recently, looking for the best French Toast in the bay. This Ube Stuffed French Toast might have a spot in the top 5. I scarfed this down in like... 10 minutes but it was so good. Ube custard wasn't overwhelming. None of this was overwhelmingly sweet even though it presents itself like a dessert. I have a sweet tooth tho so take that with a grain of salt lol. I only used a little bit of syrup but could've easily went without it. The banana in the middle was perfectly ripe and gave a nice relief of sweet freshness. Toast was thick brioche toast so not the lil flimsy slices of bread. Because this was $22 + tax and tip... I will try to recreate this at home. Their napkins had a nice message on it! Didn't remember seeing that the last time I was at a Denica's. They also have what looks like a kid area with toys? Kid table? Idk I saw it in the corner of my eye but I thought that was cool too. I had a bite of the kalua pork hash and * chefs kiss I would've been happy to order that. My lady really enjoyed the cookie butter latte as well. Will happily come back soon.

I can't do whip but it's still onolicious! My husband always gets their Denica's scramble. It has mushrooms, sausage, potatoes, spinach and of course scrambled eggs. It comes with either fruit or potatoes. Hubby opted for fruits -cantaloupe, blueberries, peaches, honey dew, and strawberries. A very colorful cup of fruits. When I'm in town, Denica's is my favorite place. You have to also try their cookies!!! All their cookies are super delish!! Service is basically, you walk up to the counter and order your food. Then you pick your seat and they bring the food to you. They are pretty good at getting your food there without waiting too long. They offer free corn chips and salsa while you're waiting. They have an aloha vibe so if you're missing Hawaii, the background music is Hawaiian style \w/ Oh!! And you gotta pick up one of their famous cookies!!! Any flavor is delicious! I've tried them ALL!!!! Did I say that already?! Sorry no pics...was hungry and forgot to take 'em.... But if have never gone, what are you waiting for...go now!

It also has an old-timey study or library or at least a literary vibe to this place. There's multiple rooms, including a stage in the back room. I think they have events here. Service is friendly and they have classic drinks as well as some festive ones. I was here on St. Patrick's Day so I got something festive even though it was overly sugary lol. I ordered the Lucky Charms White Mocha. It was tasty, but definitely a drink I wouldn't be able to order on the regular. I was able to set up my computer and one of the side rooms and get some work done. This place seems to be a very popular place for studying and doing some work. Just a great place in a great area. I decided to give it another try, and I'm really glad I did because my second experience was completely different. The coffee was great, the staff was much more helpful and welcoming, and they actually asked whether my order was for here or to-go and made recommendations. They also helped me with the Wi-Fi and password, and I really appreciated that staff checked in at my table to see if I needed anything. The space itself is great for working remotely or getting some work done. Once you know where to pick up your drinks and how everything works, it's much easier to navigate. If my first experience had been more like my second, I would have walked away with a completely different impression. I'm glad I gave this place another chance because the most recent experience was genuinely great.
