In town for a wedding, my sister recommended this place for some lunch. The store itself is great, full of different meats and prepared dishes. A lot of options, for sure. I only dealt with one employee but she was super nice and very patient as my wife and I figured out what we wanted. I had an italian sub, lettuce, onions, jalapenos (I think?). The sandwich was huge and filling, really very good and just what you'd expect from a neighborhood deli. This is a small deli/butcher shop. They often sell soups and basic grinders at lunch time. I'm not a fan of any of there homemade salads. I do think they have good red meat choices the ground beef is really priced right @ $3.99 a pound I think you need to buy at least 3* to get the deal. I live close by so this is a convenient spot. Solid little deli! Stopped by for a kielbasa at the recommendation of my dad who gets them frequently. I grabbed a jalapeño cheddar kielbasa and their buffalo chicken tater kegs, which are like gourmet tater tots- need I say more? Both were great. The tater kegs are a perfect for parties or just as a late night snack at home, (though I did have them for lunch, haha). Home made, they use real chicken breasts and cheese. They weren't too spicy, they were just right. I recommend cooking them slightly longer than the package says to get a nice crisp. The kielbasa was great, my only bone to pick is that the cheddar isn't really cheddar..pretty sure it's velveeta. Another cheese in this kielbasa would have blown it right out of the park. If you read your reviews strum, I suggest trying a new cheddar. That being said, it didn't ruin the meal for me. I was glad there was so much cheese and jalepeno. I felt the texture was great and the product addictive. Will I be back? Absolutely. A stones throw away from my job makes it pretty dangerous for my wallet. My parents have also gotten their pierogi and their glumpkee here (I don't know how to spell that one) and they preach about them. Love this place. It's great to have a local deli that makes great sandwiches! We've picked up their ready made meals and sides as well as their fresh meat and never have we been disappointed. If you have dogs, keep in mind they have bags of marrow bones that are frozen in the back right corner next to the produce. Our dogs love them and they're so cheap! Very friendly staff and service. Don't drink the kool-aid people this place is very overrated. It's average on it's best day. The standard for a good deli in the valley is just so low that some people think it's good or even fantastic (especially since they are known for serving generous portions of meat on there sandwiches). It's my third time here now and I've had three extremely disappointing experiences. I always felt rushed by the curt person helping me (there's a difference between fast service and rushed service). I haven't had a good sandwich off or on their menu yet. The handwriting on the blackboard showing you all the options is too small and clumped together making ordering off of it a challenge. Every side I've had so far was meh including the macaroni salad. Ordered something off the menu today that came squished the way your packed lunch was squished after sitting in your school back pack all day. Clearly it was just wrapped in a rush and got squished during that process. Besides it's morbid appearance it also tasted like drywall. Between the sawdust-like wheat roll it came with and the poorly distributed slab of chicken somewhat wildly thrown in, a dog might mistake this sandwich for a hairball. There was just zero love or pride put into this thing. At least cut it in half instead of serving up this hockey meat puck of a sandwich. As far as the other sandwich, not quite the tragedy but still was not good. It was a tuna sandwich and the problem was it had way way too much tuna piled on it and pouring out over the sides. Appreciate not skimping on the meats here but just serve up a simple, tasty, well put together sandwich and we're good. read more
