STAY AWAY!! This company has NO IDEA what they are doing. I purchased a kit from my 2011 Jeep Cherokee (BIG mistake). In the description it said that the kit would turn off the air suspension warning light, IT DOES NOT. When I brought it to their attention they blamed our mechanic (who spent hours on the phone with tech support) for not installing the kit correctly, THEN they corrected their site to say "if your air suspension warning light is on, the relay will NOT turn it off" essentially admitting to their mistake in their original listing. Luckily I have both pages screenshot and saved, something my attorney seemed very happy about. Why would anybody be looking to at this kit if they were not experiencing problems with their air ride?? Totally false advertising. Will costs several hundred dollars to correct this now. Currently pursuing a case against them to recover the costs of the kit, installation and removal. Trust me, stay away, extremely dishonest company!!! read more

My 2004 S430 Sport had an air suspension problem. I looked online and found Strut Masters and Arnott suspension both had coilover kits. Arnott was $1700 while Strutmasters was just below $1000. Online reviews were good but some installer of strutmasters were unhappy with the ride height. Some cars sat too high. I called Strutmasters and was given the song and dance of how great the product was. I asked why they were so much cheaper then Arnott and was told Arnott rips people off. Then when i asked about the ride height i was told my car would retain factory ride height. I ordered the kit that had the coilovers and the extra module to turn off the dash errors. Once the package arrived it contained the coilovers but no module. Numerous calls were an argument that it was shipped. It took 3 calls to get them to send it. After install the car sits atleast 1.5 to 2 inches higher then it had before. I called and they didnt care. They claimed my car that i owned for years must have been broken because it is now at factory ride height. I called Arnott suspension and was told there is a huge difference between the Base model and the Sport suspension. Arnott claims they get a ton of calls from unhappy Strutmasters customers. Now i own a Mercedes S class that rides like garbage and looks like it has a lift kit. I hope they go out of business. read more

This people have a rip off with the so called "conversion kit". They advertise this conversion kit will solve the issue of the expensive airmatic ride in Mercedes Benz. On the contrary, the product is a very low quality, highly expensive replacement part since it does not last more than a year and a half. When you contact them, they say it is not their fault, that they only buy parts from other vendors and put them together and they supposedly do not have any control on the durability of parts. The kit is $1,300 initially and they don't sell just the front or back sets, you have to buy the whole thing. Later on, when it fails, they urge you to buy the whole thing again. And the discounted price they tell you they will give you if anything happens in the future is not true. They charge $586 for each seat, front or rear, which is basically the initial price. I urge all owners of Mercedes Benz to buy the replacement airmatic struts and save the headache of having a below average conversion with a kit that does nothing of what is advertised and really turns your car in a piece of junk that is almost impossible to go back to the airmatic. The movements of the car change and then when the Strutmasters shocks begin to fail they make a horrible squeaking noise that is almost unbearable. I wish I never bought the kit from them. I only had to save a little and buy the real thing, the OEM struts that would last years and years before failing. read more

To whom it may concern: First: Strutmasters did not publish my first review on their web site. Shame. Strutmasters like a cheater. Be honest. I had bad experience with this kit SKU / MS14F. I have S500 2002, 148500 miles. I own this car 6 years it was 113000. I use air and this is bad suspension strutmasters like 4 and 2 without years. I can compare. Now my car cost $1200 . If I will put original air suspension back it will cost $4000. Where is their economy? They did not save money. Kit and installation cost $2000 (I had broken only one air suspension but body shop said that strutmasters promised that it will be the same or better and I need replace 4, all of them) without light correction and you will need this for sure plus $399. I can put all 4 air suspension for $2500 now for any s500 easy. Life time warranty is a fake. They said that I do not have lifetime warranty because body shop paid. Anybody who will by your car with this kit is loosing warranty. I DID NOT GET THIS WARRANTY EVEN I FIRST OWNER. About result: It was luxury car, now is like a tractor. Noisy, sound like is something hitting my car every time. I would say my car like a can with stones inside. Suspension is to strong. I repair already three time my rims. It was banded on the same road as before. I feel every small strong bump or hole on the road. Even I had to repair my rear window. Due vibration it was almost detached. Safety: It was obvious change brakes way and how car keep road. I do not feel secure now. Sometimes car losing traction? Almost flying. I am professional truck driver. I am everyday on road. Safety is a number one. My recommendation. Do not replace air on spring. If you want build your car by your self ? Do it and run on your yard until your pass DOT. This kit do not have DOT approve. You will be guilty if you will kill some body because you made it and factory do not responsible for change of your car. This is the same like load different bullet in gun and go on street and tell that this is safety. IT IS A BAD PRODUCT. I spoke with customer service. Nice people. Kind. But they did not help at all. Do not put this on your car if you care about your family. Stay away from Strutmasters. I can not sell this car in private party. Everybody scared with sound and driving experience. when we called them we said that we were working on a limo and they sold us what we thought to be the right kit for our limo turns out that they sent us the light duty kit and 40 days into the build we noticed that the springs were a half the size. we contacted them and they told us that even though they sent us the wrong parts that they would not change them out for the right ones because we went over there 30 day return policy. so at the end of the day the sold us a kit that we cant use for almost 800. if i did business like that i would be out of business!!!! read more

I ordered 2 struts for my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. Not only were they pricey, but they are junk. They lasted 2 years before the first one catastrophically failed by having the operating rod separate from the mounting bracket denting my hood. In 45 years of driving, I have never had a strut fail that way. Strutmasters were more than happy to honor the lifetime warranty by sending me (at my shipping expense) the replacement parts to repair the strut without any instructions. Come to find out there seemed to be parts missing from the original struts--hmmmmm, maybe that's why it failed. Did I mention the shipping time? I could have got them quickier if I had ordered them from the Arctic Circle and had them delivered by sled dog. After repairing the strut, remounting it, and having the car realigned, well, the other side failed 2 weeks ago (2 months after the first one) exactly the same way. Still waiting on the repair parts for that strut and the call back from a Strutmasters "supervisor" as to where the repair parts are. I should have ordered from the Arctic Circle. Save your money, time, maintenance fees, driving time, and frustration by buying your suspension parts somewhere else. Strutmasters sells junk. read more

Purchased the conversion kit for my 2004 Jaguar. After the front Bilstein shocks gave out in under a year I contacted Strutmasters. At first they would not honor the warranty, then they have agreed to send replacements. The replacements are a different Bilstein part number, not interchangable in the original assembly they sent me. The new shocks are shorter (the old coil springs are too long, eliminating suspension travel), the upper stem is larger diameter (won't go in the upper spring mount), the lower coil spring collar is larger (coil spring won't fit on the collar). Upon calling Bilstein, they told me neither shocks are for the vehicle intended and they do not recommend using them for my application. The original kit contained shocks for a smaller/lighter Mercedes and the replacements are for a smaller/lighter Jaguar. After going back and forth, for 5 weeks now, Strutmasters will not correct the problem and upper management will not respond to telephone messages.
