Uncleaned toilet with bodily hair and fluid stains

Studio 6 is a 1-star motel. If you are looking for an uncleaned room with bodily fluid stains and hair, left behind food, and trash from previous guests, then this is your place.

A super clean and pretty brand new motel 6 studio edition , nice clean rooms with good sized beds, clean, very modern, a lot of amenities. I arrived later on at night and the kid at the front desk was super cool, the area around here is pretty isolated from pretty much anything, there's a bunch of industrial warehouses and more than anything the Tesla plant is right behind this place which is probably why there's even anything out here. It was a pretty far drive from downtown Reno but probably worth it when you consider what you get as opposed to the type of place you'd get if you stayed in downtown Reno. I'd come back if I'm ever in Reno again.

This was my first time in sparks Nevada drove out to visit a dear friend of mine and enjoy the Rib Cook-of I've been hearing about since a teen, everything was pretty much booked up bcuz of Labor Day weekend, the rib cook-off plus the infamous burning man event lol, got lucky and found a room here kind of last minute, it's about 20 minutes away from the casinos, the kitchen had a stove with pots and pans I thought that was cool even though I didn't use them My only complaint really was the beds were hard, they could of been a lot better, can't speak on customer service didn't need any after I was given my room key, if they swap the beds out and replace them with something better this place would be a cool spot to stay when in town, I still could easily see me staying here again though but I will definitely look at other hotels preferably a little closer to downtown

Left over clothes from previous guest.

To start, the check-in process was far more difficult than it should have been. Despite notifying the hotel in advance (in writing, through their app) that we would be arriving early, one of our confirmed reservations was canceled. This created a cascade of inconvenience: one of our guests was left without proper accommodations for part of the stay and had to spend a significant amount of time working from the lobby. For a property operating at this level, that kind of breakdown in communication and inventory management is surprising. The front desk experience, specifically with Stephanie, was another challenge. The day before our scheduled checkout, she called asking why we were still in the room--seemingly unaware of our actual reservation dates. She called again later that same day with the same concern. While she did eventually apologize and acknowledged the mistake, the repeated interruptions had already created unnecessary friction. What was more concerning, however, was a lack of situational awareness. The same guest who had been displaced due to the reservation issue was later approached in the lobby--while dressed in business attire and actively on a call--and asked whether he was a guest of the hotel. Given the earlier issues, this came across as both disorganized and, frankly, dismissive of the inconvenience already caused. I want to be clear: these are fixable issues. With better internal communication, stronger training around guest management, and more attention to detail, this could be a very different experience. But as it stands, the front desk operations--particularly during check-in--fall short of what one would reasonably expect. For those considering a stay, I would recommend confirming all details multiple times and being prepared for some inconsistencies at arrival. And for management, this feels like a clear opportunity to invest in training and process improvements, particularly for guest-facing staff.

The morning check-in went okay: a new front-desk employee did her best, issued new keys, and said she'd marked my room as cleaned so I could be rechecked into the same room. Unfortunately the recheck-in process wasn't communicated to the rest of the staff - I had three different housekeeping attendants knock on my door at different times asking when I was checking out. That would have been salvageable, but the night shift was worse. I returned around 9:45 PM exhausted and could not get into the building or my room with the new key. The desk only had one clerk (Sheena) who was on the phone and assisting another guest; while waiting I asked if another staff member could help and she shook her head no. The first guest was apologized to, given water and an item from the store, and sent on their way - I received no apology or acknowledgement despite already having completed check-in and being a multi-week guest. I left feeling like a nuisance. I'm disappointed and frustrated. Management needs to improve communication between shifts and train front-desk staff to prioritize locked-out guests (and show basic courtesy). I won't be staying here again unless things noticeably change over the coming weekend - there are plenty of other hotel options in the area.

The casino is still so smokey. They either need better ventilation or prohibit smoking completely. The patrons at the Horseshoe Bar were obviously overserved. Screaming drunks, stumbling people. Honestly, where is security? Our room was on the 19th floor. It was a corner room and actually quite nice (until it wasn't) the king bed was comfy, there was a chaise lounge and 2 chairs. We overlooked a train yard and metal recycling plant. If you looked up, instead of down, the view was quite nice. Then, it happened. Hot water was running brown in both sinks and the shower. I called the desk, they said let it run. We did. Still brown. The white wash cloths were discolored. She said the cold water is okay to drink. Ummm, no. I asked for bottled water to be sent up. At midnight, when it still hadn't arrived I called the desk. No answer. I affixed a note to the door asking to not knock, just leave the water, which they did. The only redeeming quality is Anthony's Chop House. I won't ever stay again.

Bed bugs, two room moves, and absolutely no mitigation plan!!!…read more I have never written a public review before, despite plenty of less than perfect experiences. I worked in the service industry for years and generally believe businesses deserve the opportunity to make things right. The Nugget had that opportunity and chose not to.. During our stay for Hot August Nights, we discovered bed bugs in room 1638. Security responded promptly, confirmed the issue, documented it, and moved us to room 2838. That replacement room had a long standing AC leak, saturated carpet, peeling wallpaper, and visible growth behind the wall covering. Engineering inspected it the next morning and told us we absolutely could not remain there. We were moved again, to room 1242. The frontline employees were kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Management was the problem. We repeatedly asked what the hotel could do to prevent us from carrying bed bugs into the next rooms or home with us. There was no laundry service, no heat treatment option, no containment procedure offered, and no written policy or protocol available when requested. We were allowed to move the same luggage and belongings from 1638 to 2838 and then to 1242 with no mitigation whatsoever. If we had picked up hitchhikers in the original room, we could easily have carried them through multiple hotel rooms and eventually home. We are now home and spending our own time laundering and heat treating our belongings because the property offered no assistance with this before our departure. Manager on Duty Cole Hughes was particularly disappointing. After initially avoiding speaking with us directly, he ultimately offered no meaningful assistance and told us, in substance, that once we left the property the problem would be ours. He then directed us back to Security, whose staff had already done far more to help us than management had. We requested management follow up in writing while we were still on property. No response. We requested information about what to do if we brought bed bugs home. No answer. We were told Risk Management would contact us in 7 to 15 business days. Before departure, I ultimately obtained the Risk Management phone number from Security myself. I called after returning home and left a message. This is what bothers me most: the Nugget responded to the rooms, but not to the guests. Moving us was necessary. It was not a complete response to a bed bug exposure. If this is what corporate ownership has turned guest service into, relocate, document, pass the customer to Risk Management, and wait for them to leave, it is incredibly disappointing. I am writing this because future guests should know: if you encounter bed bugs here, based on our experience, do not assume the property has a meaningful procedure in place to help prevent you from carrying them elsewhere or taking them home. Security and Engineering deserve credit. Management absolutely does not.

With how many people come through those doors, the fact that he remembered me made this stay feel incredibly personal, like coming back to family. And then I walked into my room and found the cutest little towel puppy waiting on the bed. That moment right there, that's the kind of thoughtful, unexpected touch that turns a stay into a memory. My family and I stayed at the GSR for 3 nights to attend a close family member's wedding -- the entire reason we made the trip to Reno. Here is what we encountered: The Room We arrived to a visibly dirty room that needed a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the furniture, walls, and bedding. No washcloths were available despite multiple requests to housekeeping -- they finally arrived on our last day, too late to be of any use. On our first night, a sticky substance on the bedding transferred to my clothing and permanently ruined both my pants and my belt. I have not been able to remove it despite multiple attempts. Pest & Safety Concerns We found a large unidentifiable bug in our room that we had to kill and dispose of ourselves. For the remaining nights of our stay we were uneasy and anxious about what else might be present while we slept. Marijuana Odors -- Every Single Day For all 3 days and nights, the hallways leading to our room reeked of strong marijuana. My 7-year-old son asked me about the smell every single time. No parent should have to have that conversation repeatedly because a hotel cannot enforce its own policies. Rude Guest Services When I called to request washcloths, instead of simply helping me, the agent chose to lecture me on the difference between a washcloth and a face cloth. It was condescending and completely unhelpful. The Pool -- And the Moment We Lost Forever At the pool, our server went on break and her replacement could not locate my payment card. The time we lost waiting caused us to leave late -- and we arrived at the wedding chapel just as guests were walking out. We missed our family member's wedding ceremony entirely. We had traveled to Reno for one reason, and because of this staff failure we did not get to witness it. That is something we will never be able to get back. Checkout & Aftermath When I raised all of these issues at the front desk before checking out, I was redirected, dismissed, and ultimately handed a business card with a vague promise that someone would follow up about my clothing. No apology. No acknowledgment of the bigger picture. No resolution. That was nearly 60 days ago. I have followed up in writing. I have heard nothing -- not a single word. I spent a significant amount of money at this property and was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I would not recommend the GSR to anyone traveling with family, and especially not for any trip where something important is at stake. GSR -- my complaint is still open. You know how to reach me.
