This was my first visit to this property, and overall, I had a very good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the property was surprisingly quiet considering how full it was. My room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. My only complaint was that my electronic key didn't work at the entrance at the end of the building, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit. read more

Absolutely the worst Hilton property I've ever stayed at. The front desk staff were cold, disengaged, and made it obvious they didn't want to be there--whether due to the company or their own internal issues. The breakfast was so bad it would honestly be better if they didn't offer it at all. During my stay, I told a housekeeping staff member that my room was ready, and she completely ignored me. When I returned after being out all day, the room hadn't been touched. No housekeeping, no refresh, and the body wash in the shower was completely empty. I paid $550 for two nights here, and the experience was no different than a Motel 6 if anything, worse. Unless you're absolutely desperate to earn Hilton points, stay far away from this property. read more

My wife travels on business regularly, and is a frequent guest at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Reno NV. Tonight, they gave her a room equipped with an air conditioner that makes so much NOISE, she will not be able to sleep tonight. She asked the staff at the front desk for assistance, but was told "we're completely booked (on a Tuesday night), the maintenance man has gone home, and there is absolutely NOTHING we can do." She is so frustrated with the unprofessional nanner in which the hotel staff dismissed her problem with the room that I'm confident tonight will be her last stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Reno NV. One thing I hate is digital check in and they let you pick the room you want. And it turns out, it's not even ready at check in time of 3pm. It's near an hour and still not ready. They offer a room lower level that it is not even ready!!!! I believe they clean these rooms last instead of priority. This our first time here and the worst decision I've ever made!!! In fairness, Daniel at the front desk is very apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure I feel much better and content. He has great customer service with promising future. The room is spacious with plenty of storage space. Nice Kitchenette equipped with everything you need. I love the pull out dining table too. Really happy I chose this location during a work trip. I tend to like Home2 Suites because they have the full refrigerator and microwave and with alot of food allergies I like to shop and make my own food at the hotel. I am also very particular about sheets and pillows and this hotel did not disappoint! The sheets were incredibly soft and the pillows were awesome. The room was clean and everything was maintained well. I took a nice dip in the heated pool after a long day at work. Great free breakfast from 6-10am and coffee and tea available all the time in the lobby. Great work space and views from the lobby. I didn't check in at the desk, went straight to my room with the digital key that worked great on all doors, gym, room, pool, etc. Everything was terrific and I will definitely stay here again! read more

What a crap hotel. I was excited to return to Reno, and I have always stayed at this location. Upon checking in, I noticed the front desk was rude and obnoxious. When I got to my room, it got worse. Being a redhead, I realized that the black hair on the counters was not mine. The office chair was broken. Although the back was reclined, it was not a reclining chair. The wheels would not roll and then fell off. Light fixtures were hanging off the wall, and the plugins did not work. I reported these issues multiple times and was blown off each time. I was told that they did not know what to do. I was also informed that they did not have 24-hour maintenance or housekeeping. read more

We stayed one night on December 13th for the amount of $165 and a $50 deposit. As of today, we've been charged $545. We left the room in almost perfect condition. We've been told at one point the additional charges that are pending would be returned to us in minutes by front desk, including deposit. It has been 10 days since and they've actually charged more since the first day. The most recent information we've received is that the payment had been declined, however, I've never heard of a declined payment removing money out of the account. So now, what was supposed to be a $165 charge is now more than 3 times the original amount and we've been given the run around as to who is responsible and who can help. Clearly, not only would we not recommend but we definitely would stay here again. Would give a 0 if possible. read more

We have stayed at this hotel at other locations and this one was definitely the best. We had no problem, checking in and checking out. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a excellent set up. Hope the rest of our hotels are as nice. The bed was comfortable And the room was well appointed. We had breakfast and normally I don't like eating at these places, but they had Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich. I prefer biscuit rather than English muffin. Slowest front desk ever and no one is ever at front desk. Tells you to call their phone number while gone but even that no one is answering! Breakfast is not even that great. Nice property with clean rooms and decent breakfast service but minus-3 stars due to interaction with front desk person. Generally, I have had good experiences with more modest-level Hilton-owned properties, but this was my first actual negative experience (i don't have many). I would like to preface by saying my room and amenities were fine except that I could hear some next-door noise on the nights on my stay. That was relatively minor compared to my interaction with the reception desk person on the second day (morning) of my stay. I checked in with four other colleagues during late afternoon for a business stay and - unlike my colleagues - was not offered any bottled water even though I was a gold club member. The next morning, I asked about receiving bottles of water, and the employee at the desk (a young gentleman with dark hair and glasses) informed me that bottles of water and snacks were only available at check in. When I told him I had not been offered any and that I was a gold member, he said it did not matter what level member I was. My colleague ended up sharing one of their bottles with me. I get that the hotel might want to guard against people taking advantage of free water and snacks, but I was not even offered water and snacks. As a gold member, I feel like an exception could have been made or a better explanation could have been provided rather than "it doesn't matter what level of member" it was (my colleagues were not gold members) ... water was only provided at check-in. Although I did not complain, this experience was a very negative one for me as I had never had such an experience in my six years or so as a Hilton gold member and did not make me want to stay here again or want to recommend it to anyone else. I wish I could recommend this hotel, but if you're a Hilton member expecting any perks, look elsewhere. read more

The front desk folks were very helpful and the room was quiet with respect to street noise. Hard to say how insulated the room was with respect to other rooms since pretty much no one else was in the hotel, so there was no noise to hear. Everything else wasn't great. The hotel was clearly trying to cut costs in every way possible, including cleaning. The room was quite dirty (floor was sticky, there was a pubic hair at eye level in the shower, etc.; they sprayed something to make the room smell like it was cleaned, so the room smelled like cleaning spray but was still quite dirty), and you could see a lot of other signs of cost cutting which wouldn't bother me if the rooms were clean, but didn't feel great in the filthy room. They had signs up indicating that they don't clean rooms anymore unless you ask, and even then, they'll only do it on weekdays with 24 hours of advance notice, a lot of the furniture was falling apart, there were only 2 hangars in the room (surely not a big cost savings???), washing machine was out of order, A/C unit in the room was on the fritz and didn't work properly, they just switched from a saltwater pool to a cheaper to maintain chlorine pool, etc. On the plus side, they bought the gym equipment here before this place started cutting costs to the bone, so it's not too bad. Full set of dumbbells up to 75lbs a piece and a lame cable machine that you can use to do things you can't do with dumbbells alone. If this place was $120 a night, I'd give it a pass for having a semi-decent gym and a quiet room, but they charge premium hotel prices for a dirty room with a bunch of broken stuff. read more

First time staying at this hotel and we will definitely be back. It's location is great with a shopping mall right next door, Trader Joe's and CVS across the street and plenty of dining options all around. The rooms smelled and were clean. There's a kitchenette with refrigerator, dishwaher and microwave. There's so much counter space which we loved. There's a dining table that Nestle's under the desk area, only wish there were folding chairs to go with but we made do. This is a pet friendly hotel (25lbs or less for $50 more per stay) so keep that in mind in case you have any issues with dogs. We encountered a dog in the gym/laundry area and a family member is afraid of dogs but it was friendly. The pet relief area is located across the parking lot and was too small but is adjacent to a large field which my daughter's service dog preferred. Large good quality Dog bags are supplied. Use them people! I did notice that during our 5 day stay, the dog waste trash bin had not been emptied once which was gross. Laundry room has brand new LG front loading washer and dryers. 2 of each. $3.00 for a wash and $2.00 for dryer. Quarters available at the front desk and they also sell laundry supplies if needed. The gym has lots of new equipment and looks clean and well maintained. Sorry I did not get photos of that or the indoor pool. Breakfast is served daily until 10am! Sleepyheads rejoice! They have cereal, oatmeal and several variations of prepackaged eggs. Omelettes, hard-boiled, scrambled etc. Coffee, tea, hot cho colate and infused water is available all day in the lobby. There's a fire pit outside with lots of seating around it for lounging as well as a BBQ grill area with tables and chairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Worst hotel experience. Expected more from hilton. We always choose Hilton properties, and we're greatly disappointed. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. Horrible service dirty ass rooms. Amenities that are not available. We booked this particular location to use the pool. We're not informed prior to arrival or at check in that the pool was not available. The sliding bathroom door kept getting stuck, and we were locked in multiple times throughout the stay. Complained and was told to reach out to management, this was a joke as no one responded. I Upon leaving, I was charged 100 "cleaning fee" for leaving the room suposedly dirty. This was 100% retaliatory for my many complaints throughout my stay. This place was horrible, and I would never recommend this property, and I am ashamed that it belongs to the Hilton name. I am also appalled that hitlon would allow their name to be used by a subpar location like this one. I was not happy with my stay due to several reasons, but management is unresponsive to my complaints. I did not get resolution under satisfaction guarantee policy. Below are my points: 1. I woke up with neck pain for both nights as hard pillows were not available at the property. 2. We were very unhappy about the breakfast because all hot eggs contained either cheese or pork, and neither hot egg was plain or without those items. We were told there will be plain eggs available but they were not. The indication 'hot breakfast' is inappropriate and dietary restrictions were not accounted for. 3. I am dissatisfied with your room cleaning policy; other Hiltons do not have this policy and one may choose cleaning at any point during the stay. 4. Staff not offering late check out for Diamond members. 5. At check in - Supervisor said to me that he won't give me a room unless I give him a credit card. I certainly did not like and consider the tone customer unfriendly. 6. Not providing me with the hotel's official email but only a gmail ID. 7. The chat is disabled from the Hilton app and one cannot communicate officially with the hotel. 8. No business cards are available at the front desk. read more

Besides having a dead battery on my initial room door upon check-in which caused me to change room, my overall four nights stay went smoothly. There's free parking and there doesn't seem to be an issue of limited parking when I was there. Due to COVID-19, there is no buffet style breakfast but they offer free grab and go style breakfast with to-go paper bags and you choose what you want to-go. Their selection includes blueberry muffin, small cereal box, yogurt, milk, orange juice, apple juice, and bottled water. Things you need to heat up yourself: instant oatmeal packets, egg & sausage muffin, plain bagel, Smuckers Uncrustables, plain whole egg omelette, and whole egg omelette with cheddar cheese. There is no hair conditioner dispenser/bottles in the shower, but you can ask for it separately in the front desk. Washer is $3 per load. read more

My wife worked with the Director of Sales, Kelly to reserve a block of rooms for a family wedding in October 2020. Kelly did a great job communicating with my wife on the details prior to the hotel stays and when guests began checking in they were impressed with the hotel overall. The location is convenient, the kitchenettes are a great feature especially when traveling for multiple nights and the price was very reasonable. We actually had a member of the bridal party stay somewhere else initially and after one night she moved over to the Home2Suites. If you are in the Reno area and prefer a non-smoking, non-gaming hotel I would encourage you to check them out. DON'T STAY HERE! Not safe! Aggressive employees! I was verbally assaulted by the front desk night clerk who called me stupid and f'ing crazy because I took pictures of someone sleeping for the 2nd night in the front lobby. He said I was violating his right to privacy. There is NO right to privacy in the lobby of a hotel, but I do have a right to feel safe as a single female and not be verbally assaulted by an employee. I put a chair in front of my door when I got to my room. I had to take this all the way to corporate as the general manager of this hotel aggressively stood by his employee and was extremely rude and confrontational. Hilton needed to know how their guests were being treated. In no way was this experience consistent with their brand. I have names, photos and witnesses and they have video and recordings. Something fishy was going on and they need to be investigated. At a minimum, they need to be retrained! read more

Clean, modern, lots of free bottled water, what I expect from Home2Suites, and now Hilton's partnership with Lysol for extra protection. Hand sanitizer stations, and ALMOST all staff and guests wearing masks. Front desk - one woman never had her nose covered at all my entire stay. Pool area - indoor pool packed with families and kids and no masks. Housekeeping - I know their jobs are rough right now but they shouldn't be unmasked in am enclosed hallway with guests coming and going. This place just keeps finding new ways to disappoint me! I find myself here every 3 weeks (mostly for the airport proximity and Hilton points), and it's like watching a slow-motion train wreck in terms of quality. Upon my late check-in this time, I was given a room where the AC heater thermostat refused to communicate with the window unit, leaving me shivering in 30° weather. When I requested a new room, they had the audacity to tell me they'll check to see if there are any other rooms available?! My response was simple - you gave me a faulty room and I refuse to freeze tonight. After some back and forth, I was finally relocated to a new room. I was told to go to the new floor and new room and wait and someone would bring up a key after waiting 20 minutes. I had to call downstairs and ask if I had it mixed up? Was I supposed to come to the front desk and rudely I was told that the individual would be there soon. The front desk personnel arrived and offered me a new key and I entered the room and to my surprise the thermostat situation was still a mess, leaving me to choose between freezing or roasting all night. To top it off, they ran out of blankets and offered me a mattress pad instead. Sleeping with a mattress pad that wouldn't stay put on top of the bed. The breakfast menu was a sad sight, with dwindling options and shared condiments. The flimsy paper plates were barely functional, requiring multiple plates just to hold anything. The lackluster egg selection and rock-hard breakfast biscuits were not helping either. It's clear that the owner is cutting corners wherever possible, and it's truly disappointing. I even got denied a bottle of water on my second night - apparently, the franchise owner only allows water at check-in. Despite some positives like cleanliness and ample towels, the overall quality is on a downward spiral. It's a shame to see a once-promising property go to waste due to neglectful ownership. read more

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at this Home 2. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The ONLY complaint we have is that our pillows were those mostly flat pillows - the good thing was that they were king size but the flat was annoying. Lots of space for laying out suitcases, etc - nice long shelf, plus desk Nice parking lot. Shower was great! Totally non-slip, good water pressure, nice size shower. Location of hotel is excellent - adjacent to a mall, 3/4 mile from the Reno Sparks Convention Center, close to plenty of restaurants and shopping - Macaroni Grill, Cheesecake Factory, Chili's, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and lots more. Do NOT eat at Kings Buffet (See other review). If we come back to Reno, we will definitely stay here again. read more

I wish I could say my experience was limited to "just one thing"... but could not be further from the truth. But I will start with the general accommodations- clean, great parking- that's where it stops especially for these rates. before I even got to my room, things broken with no desire to offer assistance- - was locked out of room, took maintenance forever to open- security lock - language barrier- english, nope, next to none... could not communicate with housekeeping or maintenance - front desk- 2 girls...involved with their own lives and no interest in guests - no interest in even "trying" to accommodate trying to get my 2 rooms reasonably close to each other- i get it... but not even try?!! even after I requested it very early on when the reservation was booked. - couldn't even communicate without mixing up reservations and without having to repeat myself 3-4 times- - extremely hot in common areas. Asked about A/C... shocker- per front desk..."oh A/C has a glitch. Just how it is". - needed room/bathroom cleaned- shower flooded- had to use all our towels there was no way to keep water contained... wait for it- "there's no housekeeping people on weekends I can send them Monday." Thought I had heard it all!! Now in the room: - toilet barely bolted to floor- don't attempt to lean at all, it fall over - window blinds- broken, couldn't raise or close - hair dryer broken... this is a good one... called to get a now one... the answer.... oh we can't do anything about it, we are not allowed to access housekeeping and they are all gone for day- so wet hair, unable to make by engagement- WTF! Nothing about this hotel is customer service oriented- they are too caught up with rules. yes, I understand there are rules- however, sometimes there are circumstances when "exceptions" are needed and should be considered. NOT HERE! Especially when it is prefaced with "we are a franchise- not Hilton". What???!!!!! that was clearly obvious- I was never treated with so much unhelpfulness (not sure that is a word) while at a Hilton. Lets start with staff- the lack of professionalism, respect, experience and maturity. Is anyone there over 15??? the most frequently used word- "NO"- "NO" and "NO".... This is not the Hilton experience I am accustomed to in all my years of travel-- Marriott here I come. Finally- this is what pushed me over the edge... i needed to attend a "virtual funeral" on my last day there- again I asked about a late check out, early on in the reservation process and asked again on my arrival. I calmly explained the situation and literally found myself on the verge it tears. Now- I was not asking for hours beyond the standard noon check out time- I asked for ONE hour. The service was at 11:00- check out is noon- I asked for 1:00 check out. the manager would NOT even consider it- even after I explained the circumstances- an EMPHATIC NO!!!! and then told me I could speak to the Manger on MONDAY- WTF, the service is Sunday. These people DO NOT Understand anything about service- but more importantly "human kindness". I ask you this "Hilton Franchise Owner"- is this how you want your property to be managed... and Hilton, is this how you want your BRAND represented? And both of you- put your self in the shoes of the guest... how does it feel?? read more

This hotel has the worst, rudest staff. Booked 2 adjoining rooms for my family, displaced by fire including pets and minor children, wasn't told they didn't have them. Front desk staff were dishonest about rooms being together, mocked my family upon arrival, not caring about meeting our needs at all. When I asked to speak to a manager desk staff went in back to seek one and then returned without saying a word to me to return to their phone and side conversations. When I said I would be calling corporate I was told if I wanted to speak to a manager I would have to stand there an hour. Staff laughed at us as we left property. Did not even follow through on basic Hilton "honors" accommodation like room preferences or bottles of water for guests, while claiming they were doing so. WORST HOTEL property and STAFF. read more

After reading the reviews seems ppl are expecting 5 star accomodations but this is not that and never will be. It was decent. Clean and staff were fine. Breakfast is cheap but gets you some energy. I love staying at Home2 Suites by Hilton whenever we are in Reno area. I have stayed there quite a number of times now. One stay was almost a month long. It felt like my home. The suites have always been clean and comfortable! It's in a great location. The suites are large with a nice mini kitchen and located right near the Meadowood Mall. The staff is always welcoming, professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place and will choose to stay here each and every time! read more
