It has been a while since our last stay at the Nugget. While we used to get comped rooms here in the past, we needed a place for the Fourth of July this year. The room felt a bit overpriced due to the holiday, but it ended up being completely worth it!The property has been updated since our last visit. Our room was very clean, and the bed was highly comfortable. The best part was the convenience. We walked right outside into Victorian Square to hang out. They had several jumpy houses that my son loved, plus tons of great vendors and food trucks. We wrapped up the perfect night watching the fireworks at 9:30 PM. We would definitely stay here again for the convenience alone!

I'm a huge Nugget fan. They have a nice casino and I really like their automated craps machine/table. They have great shows in all their indoor and outdoor venues. The restaurants are decent but the best is Anthony's steakhouse which is phenomenal.

I've been to Reno several times in my life but this is the first time I've stayed at Nugget Casino Resort. Overall, my one night stay was not a bad experience. They have amenities such as a pool and gym. I did not check these things out. They also have lounging areas, and indoor stage, an outdoor stage, and Starbucks. Check in was easy. I just went to the line and the people working the counters were decent. I did have to ask about the hold on my card. It is like any other place you stay, they put a hold and then the money will be put back onto your card if there were no issues/damages/lost items. The casino area looked okay. I did not gamble on this trip. I would stay here again if need be. Check it out for a decent price and an ok stay.

If I could give it a negative number I would! -10 at the very least. Worst. Stay. Ever. Let's start with the hotel. The hotel is dark, dirty and hot. Trash piled up and spilling over in cans near the elevators. For days. The smell was horrible! The room was also hot and the AC barely worked. The room had NO charging capacity near the bed. Only across the room on the desk. Room for 2 chargers only btw in a 2 queen room. 2 washcloths in the bathroom for a 4 person capacity room, and the shower/bathtub has no light so it was like showering in a cave. Not to mention the fact that the soap was approximately the size of that little bit of soap left that you try to use but get so frustrated you end up just throwing it away. Never stay here! Now let's move on to the casino. The casino is hot, filthy and smells! They have absolutely no air filtration so the smoke is very strong. The bars, what can you say about the bars, oh yeah, good luck getting a drink! We waited over 30 minutes for a bartender to acknowledge us and take our order at one bar, moved to another, waited over 20 minutes, moved to another bar and still waited at least 15 minutes! Don't worry! You will never get too drunk at this casino and lose all your money! The machines......half were out of order and the other half sucked. The restaurants! Ugh! The Oyster Bar has the only bright spot! Not for the food but for the service! They were great! And the only restaurant you could actually expect any food at! The Island Cafe closes at 4:00 pm. 4:00 PM!!! Why have it? The diner/24 hour cafe is impossible! Never did get any food there. We went around 4:00 and they told us that as they only had 1 server for the WHOLE RESTAURANT That the wait would be about 40 minutes. We went to the Oyster Bar (again, as we just had dinner there the night before) because we had a concert to go to that evening. That night, after the concert we tried to go there again (as there was no other restaurant or food available on property at nearly 11:00 pm after the concert). The wait was over an hour! Holy cow! No market/store or grab and go, no burger bar, nothing!!! I just went to bed, then realized I had the entire next day and night in this hell hole when I went downstairs in the antique elevator and told them I was checking out the next day and would find another hotel. I demanded a refund. The night assistant manager agreed but told me I'd have to contact my third party booker to process the refund. The next day, I contacted my third party booker who told me I'd need this agreement in writing. I went to the front desk and could not even get the day manager out of the office to talk to me. She would just tell the teenagers out front what to say (which was wrong) and stayed hiding in the back office. After I got upset she sent out a freaking sticky note with an ok to refund note on it! Needless to say that this did not fly with the third party booker. I still have to take this further, but do not fear! I'm retired and have nothing else better to do! lol. While I was dealing with these super "helpful" employees, namely Haley and Jessica, my husband was attempting to cash in our tickets from the casino. ALL and I mean ALL of the ticket redemption machines were down!!! Could not wait to get out of that nightmare! DO NOT RECOMMEND

The Skywalk Arcade is located in the Nugget Casino Resort on the second floor. They are open all day, everyday, 24/7. This arcade room offers a bunch of games from prize machines to arcades. The Arcade room splits into two separate rooms directly across from each other. They have a few tables and chairs so parents has some where to sit and watch their kids. The ticket redemption or prize counter is located in that same room. The other has two vending machines. One has snacks and the other has drinks. There's a section of old school video games like Pac-Man and Dig Dug for old timers like me. Also, it has a pool/billiards table and two air hockey tables. Location: 1100 Nugget Ave, Sparks, NV 89431

Wow, what a gem! This place reminded me of the early 90's . I felt younger visiting this place! The ceilings are lower and the place is huge . The staff was amazing.everyone knew me by first name. We stopped in Virginia City which was ok and Reno was packed!

I have been going to the Nugget for about 40 years. I love the Oyster Bar. But the issue is that the Nugget started charging for parking to attend the Brooks and Dunn concert, $20! We had to park on the top floor, the elevator was packed. My husband and I walked five flights of stairs! Outrageous!

The 10am bingo session is fun, it wasn't as smokey as I thought it would be which was a great thing since I have a smoke allergy. The Casino has a large variety of slots to play, slots aren't as tight as other casinos but still not that loose so you have a good chance of at least breaking even/not loosing all your money.

We have stayed many times before. We know what to expect which is usually a lower tier bit clean enough. Check in was fine. Front desk was friendly enough. Casino bartenders were nice. Everything else was just slow. Our room? We didn't notice it at night but next morning we found the stained comforter we had been sleeping on. Plus a bevy of toe nail clippings on the floor. Notified the front desk and they gave us a $40 food credit and will "deep cleaned" the room while we were out. Apperently "deep clean" does not mean vacuuming everything because toe nails clippings were still there. I can't imagine us staying here again. Who knows what they do not clean.

Is the indoor swimming pool clean, clear water? It was murky and felt like it hasn't been cleaned for awhile the last time we went (2 yrs ago).

It's always been pretty clean when I've visited.

Are there hot tubs available? Also pool hrs?

Can you bring guests to the indoor pool if you are staying here?

What time do the tables open back up?

The tables open back up at 9am.

Is there a cancellation fee for the rooms? Or will I get my full refund back? Because I booked my room today and now I wanna cancel it.

I've canceled before and I didn't get charged at all, I believe they don't charge your card anything until you check in. So you should be fine and should get your full refund.

Do they have rooms with Jet tubs?

Yes! Big tubs with jets. We had to "upgrade" to get one of these.

My company party will be here but I'm not 21. Can I walk around in the casino as long as I don't play or sit down?

Yes as far as I know, you can walk around the casino. But like you said once you don't sit down or play you should be fine.

    Do they have Rv parking?

Yes they have parking for RV's

Do the resort tower rooms have a refrigerator and microwave? We went 3 years ago and they had neither but I know they remodeled last year so I was wondering.

A mini fridge yes! A microwave no! But they do have a kuerig coffee machine as well! Hope this helps!

We had Turkish coffee, traditionally strong, and an assortment of bread, cheeses, spreads, Turkish sausage, honey with clotted cream, eggs and pastries. Everything was delicious, savory to sweet. The service was very prompt, our waitress and other staff members checked in on us regularly, brought in new dishes and took the empties away every time they passed by. To start, the check-in process was far more difficult than it should have been. Despite notifying the hotel in advance (in writing, through their app) that we would be arriving early, one of our confirmed reservations was canceled. This created a cascade of inconvenience: one of our guests was left without proper accommodations for part of the stay and had to spend a significant amount of time working from the lobby. For a property operating at this level, that kind of breakdown in communication and inventory management is surprising. The front desk experience, specifically with Stephanie, was another challenge. The day before our scheduled checkout, she called asking why we were still in the room--seemingly unaware of our actual reservation dates. She called again later that same day with the same concern. While she did eventually apologize and acknowledged the mistake, the repeated interruptions had already created unnecessary friction. What was more concerning, however, was a lack of situational awareness. The same guest who had been displaced due to the reservation issue was later approached in the lobby--while dressed in business attire and actively on a call--and asked whether he was a guest of the hotel. Given the earlier issues, this came across as both disorganized and, frankly, dismissive of the inconvenience already caused. I want to be clear: these are fixable issues. With better internal communication, stronger training around guest management, and more attention to detail, this could be a very different experience. But as it stands, the front desk operations--particularly during check-in--fall short of what one would reasonably expect. For those considering a stay, I would recommend confirming all details multiple times and being prepared for some inconsistencies at arrival. And for management, this feels like a clear opportunity to invest in training and process improvements, particularly for guest-facing staff.

You can't beat their locals (and CA residents) get 35% off in Dec-March Sunday through Thursday. For a 25 minute "grand sampler" massage and entrance to their day spa all day I only paid 60$ plus tip and tax. Their day spa is so nice! It's modern and decorated in a tranquil teal color (my fave). It's a 9 hour escape from my kids and normal life and it's never too busy here. They have a co Ed relaxation room, HUGE co Ed spa that's the size of a small swimming pool, separate ladies spa, ladies lounge , ladies eucalyptus steam room and ladies dry sauna. What more could you want?! Feedback for improving- they used to have overhead rain showers now they have wall shower heads. Bring those back! They used to have a mist you can spray while you shower to fill the shower with eucalyptus and lavender. It used to be chained to the shower wall. They don't have those anymore. Bring those back! They used to give you one complimentary mimosa when you arrived. No more. Bring those back! Also, my shower suddenly went extremely cold when someone flushed the toilet. That needs to be worked on for sure. My robe was supposed to be a white or ivory on the inside. I know from experience. But the one I got must have been washed on hot and the dark color bled and made the inside look just grungy. That's an easy fix for them. There was a broken down, denied, paint peeling car in a parking spot in front of our unit that didn't move the entire time we were staying there. The "gym" is gross. Ancient broken equipment. No towels. Nothing to sanitize before you use the equipment (if you can get it to work). Tbere is seldom anyone in the office to help if you have an issue. For example, the website says you can purchase high speed secure internet for the week. False. There is no high speed internet. There isn't even internet to be purchased. The "open" internet has no internet connection. They have people staying here who are just plain nasty and they bring more people (who don't live here and who aren't resort exchange visitors) who are running around, yelling, leaving trash and belongings wherever they happen to land. The midweek tidy up is a joke. They didn't clean anything ... dishes, shower ... nothing. They left a stack of towels and put some in the wall holder. The shower broke so we couldn't even take showers - had to use the tub. The good thing is that maintenance came quickly to fix it. The inside of the unit is pleasant, but nothing fancy. The TVs aren't smart .... and why would they be? The internet doesn't work. There is a tiny DVD player connected to the back of the TV and it sits on the table where you are supposed to eat. Why? And what little is there is is occupied by a microwave, tiny toaster and plastic coffee maker. Glass wear is on a glass shelf that looks like it hasn't been dusted in months. Finally, this "resort" (not) is in a very sketchy neighborhood. I do not hesitate to say this is the WORST "resort" I have ever stayed in ... for this pit, I exchanged my unit in Hawaii.
