I have never gone to a stylist that I was not referred to but I took a chance with 805 Salon because it was new & close to home. After having my hair done a few times by Krista I am now a loyal client! Krista has done my roots & highlights & she is the only one who has gotten the tone right. My hair tends to go reddish & she knew from the beginning what color & level to choose so that didn't happen. The salon is extremely clean, organized, comfortable & modern. Upon a recommendation, I made an appointment for my daughter with Kirra haircut and highlights. I attempted to call first but never got through so did the online scheduling. When my daughter arrived for the appointment she was told Kirra no longer works at the salon. My daughter came from out of town for this appointment and no one attempted to call, text or email her. All information was provided in the online scheduler. So unprofessional not only by the hairstylist but the owner as well, Krista Dodd. Why no one could go through Kirra's scheduled clients and contact to let them know Kirra was no longer available. Although my daughter was staying a few days no one else had openings these few days. What a waste of time and again UNPROFESSIONAL! I informed the person who recommended this place and they were shocked that a business would conduct themselves in this manner. read more

I am new to the area and I wanted to get a haircut before my birthday. It was late afternoon on Thursday (the day before my birthday) and I looked for salons on google and yelp. I came to the point where I thought it was too late and that I wouldn't be able to get my hair done for my bday. I saw Studio 805 salon had good reviews, so I went to their website. I saw there were openings that evening, so I booked an appointment. Everyone talked about how great Krista, the owner was, so I booked an appointment with her. The process to book an appointment on the website was super easy and convenient. My appointment was at 6:30 and I was able to pull up on Grand right in front of the salon and find a place to park. When I first walked in, Krista was very friendly and welcoming. She offers a complimentary drink so I got a coffee. I hadn't had a haircut since pre-Covid so my hair looked pretty bad, but she was able to make it look really pretty again. She made it a very pleasant experience. AND the icing on the cake was that on my bday (the very next day) I received a text with an audio file and realized that it was a bday message from Krista! That was so kind and thoughtful. Krista is amazing! The salon is super clean, newly renovated & beautiful!! They take all of the precautions for covid, which made me feel really safe and comfortable. I hadn't had a haircut in sooo long due to covid and was in desperate need of a trim!! I brought in pictures of what I was thinking & Krista was able to translate that & give me an updated style that I LOVE!! Quick Review: 5 Stars, Two Thumbs Up, 10/10. Longer Review: My previous stylist moved so I looked to Yelp to find someone new. Krista's reviews were glowing and I decided to make an appointment with her. She's very friendly and welcoming and has a calmness about her that made me feel less anxious about visiting a new stylist. Her salon is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with wireless phone chargers available for use. Krista was very thorough in asking about what I wanted and how I usually styled my hair. I really felt like she wanted to get an understanding of what my day to day routine was with my hair. I've had some bad haircuts through the years so I'm always a bit apprehensive about going to someone new, but Krista put me at ease. The thing that both shocked and delighted me was how gentle she was during the entire process; brushing, washing, cutting, drying, etc. In my decades of different stylists, NO ONE has ever been so gentle! I always thought the aggressive washing and tugging of hair was what was to be expected and I just endured it. Krista made this not only a great experience but a brand new one for me!
