Alicia was very accommodating and made the appointment for a time that would allow us to roll into the treatment if I decided to move forward. So glad I did. She was very receptive to my needs, asked great questions, and provided me options to get the color and effect just right. Her home studio was also great and was set up really well for the service. This is the second time I've had my hair cut by Alicia. She is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and a bonus - she knows how to cut curly hair! You might think that is a given for a hair stylist, but it is not. Alicia spent 3 hours on my hair out of the goodness of her heart - I have thick hair, and a lot of it, and she truly put in the effort to make it perfect. Alicia took the time to asses & figure out what I wanted. Then, she took my half-baked request to the next level and gave me an amazing haircut (as well as thinning out my hair, like I asked, which many other hairdressers will skip or skimp on). Alicia is a game-changer! I found her after a unsatisfying cut from a big salon corporation and straight away, she fixed all the things they botched. Her salon is very welcoming, she makes sure you are comfortable and warm. In addition, she is meticulous about COVID-19 precautions, making sure to fully sanitize between clients. I feel very safe being in her salon. Bonus- she has a very cute and friendly dog. With past experiences, I've always had stylists who just listen to what you want and perform it; there are no regards to how the hairstyle will complement your face, the amount of time and effort you yourself want to spend on maintaining your haircut, and sometimes, I get a completely different hairstyle at home after I wash my hair! She spends a lot of time getting to know how your hair behaves so that you get a flattering haircut that looks the same at home and requires as little (or as much) maintenance as you want. Alicia is very kind and very smart with her craft and I cannot say enough great things about her. The price that you pay for her is reasonable and includes much more thought and time than at a larger corporation for the same price. For the amount of time that I have been living in the Seattle area, I have not been able to find a hairstylist that I know cares about their craft and customers, but now I found her and will definitely be going back. Alicia is PHENOMENAL! She has been cutting my mother's hair for over 20 years, and I have recently starting seeing her as well. She does amazing work. I had about 2-3 ft of hair and I made the decision to go for a pixie cut. Alicia worked on my hair for a total of three hours. Alicia is talented not just because she's skilled but she really takes the time to listen and understand what you want...and then she repeats it just to be sure you're both on the same page.
