We come in from out of town to get our hair cut at studio K. I have straight hair and get choppy short cuts. I always love how Kristian cuts it and being that she is a true pro, these cuts look great for months! My friend has very curly hair and gets great short and long cuts here also! StudioK is a lovely high end salon located in Signal Hill. I feel comfortable knowing the salon is always kept very clean and tidy! Sad to say, my hair was damaged from a previous blonde ombré from a different salon. I come in once a week to StudioK for a wash and style. The salon owner is Kristian, She is exceptional and excels in her profession! Kristian did a vinegar rinse that made my hair literally squeaky clean. She then, applied a toner to my hair to blend in my grown out ombré followed by an Olaplex treatment and masking conditioner. After another wash and rinse, Kristian worked on my blow dry and style. I haven't had my hair styled this good since I've visited StudioK. I've experienced other Blow Dry Bars, and they do not compare with a high end salon. Not only did she do a fabulous job, I am very thankful for the wonderful stylist(s) of StudioK because they educate me in making sure I take care of my hair when I wash and style it at home. Quality is truly here at StudioK! Tips: They schedule by appointment only because they are booked months in advanced! I don't get my hair done often and when I do I never know exactly what I want. Every time I have come into Studio K the stylists ask questions and are able to figure out exactly what I want. I've been going to Kristian for over 10 years. She is the most patient stylist ever. She's been through the ringer with me, "Kristian, I need a new haircut, I need this man out of my hair" - type of rants. She's always made time for me, told me when my ideas were good, and when they were bad. I trust her with my hair, she's great at fixing screw ups, like when I cut my own bangs or when I dyed my hair black and kept damaging it. I love my natural hair, and hardly straighten it. Loved this salon and will be returning as needed. I got a DevaCut and balayage highlights, and I am in absolute love with my results! I also get to many compliments on my hair, it feels so great! I love coming to Studio K! All stylists are professional and dedicated. They take care of you so well! I usually get a cut, however, I have gotten my hair balayage by Rozz which then just grew naturally! Highly recommend with any of the stylist here. Cameo can give you a best hair cut ever, but will cost you over $100 easily. He is very skillful, but only does cut, color and highlight, nothing else that take too much of his time. This is not your everyday hair salon experience. If you normally pay over $350 for your cut, color and highlight, you must try him. His partner does African American hair. They have enough clients so they are very busy and can be very picky. read more
