Brett was fun, friendly, and low-key; exactly what you need to be to handle several consecutive hours with a bridal party (no matter how chill we thought we were). The only reason I'm not ready to give this five stars is that we all noticed a significant quality difference between Brett's hair and makeup work and that of her colleague. The second girl was friendly and gave it her best shot, but clearly not as experienced or confident as Brett was. I was in the non-Brett group, and all of us did a fair bit of adjusting in the bathroom after she finished with us. Certainly not a big deal (and we were still pretty happy overall), but the contrast with Brett was noticeable and mildly disappointing.

Lets support small business' I had been seeing Kaitlin for ~3 years starting when she was a apprentice at the old salon and sticking with her through. Her sudden departure definitely had me panicked since I was in my bridal era and had appointments booked for me, my mom and sister to get our nails done at the same time. They opened the new salon in late spring/early summer and I got in her books as the caliber was fantastic. My first appointment with her went fine, I had a simple art and said I wanted red and blue with the olympic trials and the 4th of July coming up, but told her to have fun and and play with what she wanted so she had creative liberties to do what she wanted. The design was kind of boring but I went on my way. A month later I went back and had white chrome for my bridal shower done. The quality was crap as it chipped within days. I sent a message since with the old salon their was a guarantee of about 7-10 days and this was less than 5 days. She asked if I would like to come in to get a repair and i said "yes please" then was left on read and just dealt with the chips of the chrome. I had my bachelorette nails scheduled and she ended up cancelling on me but did get me in with Lindsey as a single color. Lindsey picked a great pink and did a really good job on the nails. They lasted a really long time too! And they were way less expensive than Kaitlin. With the change of the salon Kaitlin said she would make a one time exception to allow my sister to get nails done with her and then my mom would get her nails done by lindsey. They both scheduled for single color. My mom paid for all 3 of our nails as a wedding treat. When my mom left I did ask if she left a good tip as my mom admittedly isn't confident on tipping and will often ask others what she should tip and I wanted to make sure that they got proper tips. Lindsey confirmed the tip was great. I had booked for a simple art in which i was doing a ombre, I had messaged inspirations to kaitlin in the weeks leading up asking if things were possible as I am always a little unclear on the difference between detailed and simple. The inspiration had pearls and gems glued on. She said that would be detailed. I told her that if its possible to increase to detailed i would love to but if not, then we would adjust. She told me her client after had cancelled and that she had time to do the detailed. However when my mom was paying she told Lindsey to charge for simple and the extra was a little treat/wedding gift. The nails looked good with the ombre, and then she started adding the pearls. After the pearls were added she started to apply layers of topcoat to set the pearls and nail. We got to a point that they looked perfect, however she opted to put more on which then made them look a bit weird. When I spoke up and said i feel like they are two thick she huffed and said she was already 15 mins over (I had no idea since I always just let her do her thing and figure she is managing scope). So i quickly bridal panicked and said its fine I will deal. I asked if she had any appointments the following day that maybe I could get it fixed and that I would 100% pay. She told me she was fully booked and I just accepted the fate of my bridal nails. I felt bad for her treating me to detailed so I venmoed her money after I left as a extra thank you. I was absolutely shocked when I had gone to book Christmas nails and she informed me the group chat would no longer be providing me nail services. I was completely shocked as in the multiple years of me seeing her the only time she has shown disappointment was with the bridal nails when I expressed I was a bit concerned. I was incredibly confused and asked why since I was blindsided. She told me there were multiple times when she felt like my requests didn't align with her flexibility. I was (and still am) terribly confused as I always asked if what i was looking for was in scope or not and she and I never had any disagreement on what was being done. Additionally the times I had reached out were when the quality was not up to snuff. The overall unprofessionalism is really disappointing and the quality is not nearly as it was when she was not independent.
